It was also done sequentially, i.e. the scenes were not mashed up. The crew probably had lunch at about 12 o'clock and shot the final scene afterwards. So I've been listening to "Stay" and this song for most of the day today, and tbh, I see the connection lyric wise, but other than that, they seem like completely different songs. I'm being dead honest about this, Zedd showed something new and unique in both songs. He didnt "lose his sound" like you guys are saying, but like Zedd has said before, he is always experimenting and that's what I see here. Even if it is similar to "Stay," there are still new things in this song that Zedd fans should get excited for. I mean the biggest being, he had a country vocalist do this, who knows what's next for him but its still a really well put together song.
He hasn't had the same level of experimentation as his True Colors album. Songs like True Colors, Daisy, and Transmission were very different compared to this song, Get Low, Stay, and Starving.

Hey Zedd, I like the song and here is what I think: I feel like in your last few songs (Stay, Get Low, The Middle), you're drifting to 'drier' sounds with an emphasis on strong percutions and 'staccato' notes and silences. Oh and you definitely LOVE that ticking clock sound (Hourglass, Stay, The Middle...). --> It's cool and it makes the music somewhat more punchy and more 'danceable'. BUT on the other hand I hope you will also go back to what actually made you famous: The 'smoother' and melodic songs, with this good old classical piano that we all love and more 'legato' notes (Beautiful Now, Stay The Night, Papercut, Illusion etc.). All in all, I love these new punchy songs, but I hope you'll go back to these amazing electro/classical and melancholic melodies that we all loved so much. Not gonna lie but Zedd’s previous music is phenomenal , full of personality and strong EDM vibes which made me like his music so much... Especially “ I Want You To Know “ and “ Clarity “. However, when “ Stay “ and other songs came out... I felt like the uniqueness of his music is ...... forgotten. Like 6 feet under the grass and never be found again. I agree with you. I follow Anton for 5 years now. It is great to see him gaining fans and I'm very happy for him that he is a very popular producer these days. But I also miss the unique chord progressions and orchestra which he used to complete his songs with; which are true masterpieces. (Like Dobregubben, shave it up, spectrum, epos.... and the anthem) I only listen to his old songs because they are very unique and so beautiful. I feel like his new music is mainstream, and I still like it, but his previous work is much better if you ask it to me. But i will never stop supporting this awesome man! 🙌

An amazing genre that got “ruined” by the Chainsmokers and some other producers
In the beginning
Future Bass was not mainstream then Martin Garrix, Zedd and some others started experimenting it with mainstream style

I actually think this song is not bad but this is not the way i want Zedd to take, True colors was pretty good, I trully liked the album, Papercut, Addicted to a memory, Transmission,etc... really astonishing. The matter is that i feel like true colors didnt sell very much and got too many bad critics from other artists and therefore Zedd (lately) has been trying to fit his songs to the mainstream and... well fuck it we want the melodic, nostalgic, exciting old Zedd and not this kinda Clean Bandit- The chainsmokers chilling vibe. I always support you Zedd but be faithful to yourself and your roots, I aint saying you dont have to change, but make progress instead of fitting to commercial fucking mainstream

Hey Zedd,
I like the song and here is what I think:
I feel like in your last few songs (Stay, Get Low, The Middle), you're drifting to 'drier' sounds with an emphasis on strong percutions and 'staccato' notes and silences. Oh and you definitely LOVE that ticking clock sound (Hourglass, Stay, The Middle...).
--> It's cool and it makes the music somewhat more punchy and more 'danceable'.
BUT on the other hand I hope you will also go back to what actually made you famous:
The 'smoother' and melodic songs, with this good old classical piano that we all love and more 'legato' notes (Beautiful Now, Stay The Night, Papercut, Illusion etc.).
All in all, I love these new punchy songs, but I hope you'll go back to these amazing electro/classical and melancholic melodies that we all loved so much.

Not gonna lie but Zedd’s previous music is phenomenal , full of personality and strong EDM vibes which made me like his music so much... Especially “ I Want You To Know “ and “ Clarity “. However, when “ Stay “ and other songs came out... I felt like the uniqueness of his music is ...... forgotten. Like 6 feet under the grass and never be found again. Moreover, from “ stay “ until now , all of his music is just....very similar or even the same vibes with The Chainsmokers. Honestly, if he stay on his old way of making music like before will be absolutely fabulous and awesome. P.S. I M NOT HATING AND I M JUST SAYING MY MIND OUT Because I Love Zedd so much 😍😍😍

I agree with you. I follow Anton for 5 years now. It is great to see him gaining fans and I'm very happy for him that he is a very popular producer these days. But I also miss the unique chord progressions and orchestra which he used to complete his songs with; which are true masterpieces. (Like Dobregubben, shave it up, spectrum, epos.... and the anthem)
I only listen to his old songs because they are very unique and so beautiful. I feel like his new music is mainstream, and I still like it, but his previous work is much better if you ask it to me. But i will never stop supporting this awesome man! 🙌
