ABOUT BELOW DECK MEDITERRANEAN:
Bravo Media sails through the French Riviera in a new season of Below Deck Mediterranean. Sandy may be navigating the “Sirocco” mega yacht again, but she brings a new level of leadership in season four. With high expectations, she has no tolerance for anything short of perfection and will take drastic measures if the crew can’t deliver. Hannah, looking to right her wrongs from last season, is hoping for smooth sailing with a strong interior crew. But will choppy waters threaten her redemption? Mila, classically trained in French culinary cuisine, becomes the first female chef in franchise history, but after a bout with food poisoning right as the first charter guests are set to arrive, she’ll have her work cut out for her. Aesha, coping with a difficult past and using humor to get through tough times, is ready to hit the high seas and get another charter under her belt. Anastasia, born in the Republic of Georgia, has a strong sense of pride in her work ethic which takes her on an unexpected journey. João is looking for a fresh start and is laser focused on being the best Bosun for the crew, but not everyone is on board. Colin, feeling homesick, quickly finds himself on the outs after trying to connect with the new deck crew. Travis after a few mishaps begins to question leadership, however, it’s his “work hard, play hard” mentality that comes into question by the rest of the crew. Jack ruffles feathers when the crew notices he’s putting more effort into pursuing a crew member than his actual job.

Seeing captain with Hannah during an anxiety attack was really heart warming. She didn't act like mental illness was less than a physical illness
It made me feel so much better. I’m currently dealing with a lot and it truly made my heart feel better 💞
I loved this. Usually you would be called unprofessional but she handled it so well and with kindness.
If only she showed that compassion when Hannahs anxiety meds were found but instead Sandy used it do dismiss her as a druggie

@@BUTTERCUPJones Basketball and volleybal are also 2 different sports but some how they both involve people, just like on a yaght or in the marines. BTW, not every marine is going to kill a person and that kind of training has proved to be valid when its not about marines. Did you ever worked on a yacht with a real captain that knows how to be a good leader or you just guessing? I know first hyand there are alot better captains that use a method you claim only is good for killing people. Reality is a different thing!

Captain Sandy stood above the rest when it came to Captains on this program. Between her, Mark and Lee she was a really positive and hands-on captain. Genuinely interested in working within a team. Really fantastic role model for younger people looking to build a career in that industry. My Fav Cap.

I love love love captain sandy. She's not too proud to get in there and lend a helping hand. Also, she sees right through people when they bs her. She's always trying to help people to grow. Most of all she holds everyone accountable regardless of rank. Unlike Lee she wasn't afraid to put the chief stew or bosun in their place. Awesome woman !!!

Sandy is more of a mom than a Captain having to regulate all their emotions and almost comfort them half the time. Even when she fires people she's so sweet and motherly. Builds them up first, wish I had employers like her

I love Sandy because like Joao said she is willing to teach them to become captains themselves, I never feel like the two shows are the same. It's cool to see two different captain styles and not just a crew in the Bahamas versus in the Med
I like how Captain Sandy really tries to teach the crew along the way. Captain Lee doesn't do that he just sits there.
that's his job though to drive the boat, it's the chief stew's job to train interior crew and the bosun's job to train the deck crew and captain lee has interaction with those two.

I just love Captain Sandy. She deals calmly with problems and takes the time to teach her crew. She's strict, but kind. The fact she tells them she's disappointed works a lot more than yelling at them or take them down. She allows them to make mistakes and learn from it, which is awesome.

Not everyone knows what an anxiety attack looks like. So it's understandable that Sandy asked if everyone ate the same thing. Hannah should have been more forthcoming with her medical issues so Sandy would have known. Hannah probably wouldn't have been fired but as things were going Hannah was doing what she wanted regardless of what she was supposed to be doing.
If Hannah suffers from something that is going to prevent her from doing her job, then she needs a different profession, not one where she is the liability! She is so desperate to get a man that anyone will do, even a young lad of 23!

I’ll say it again , if I worked for her as her chef I’d follow her too the ends of the earth 🌎, I’m not saying she’d get me mad a few times , but I guarantee you she’d be right , and I’d do whatever it took to make her happy and make her shine as a captain, had a boss like her once , sadly we ended up having a bust up and I left her employment , but I would have done anything for her and had huge respect for her , sadly I recently found out she died of Cancer at an age far too young , RIP Gilly, I’m so sorry We left in acrimony.

Captain Sandy is such an amazing boss. She's able to have the tough discussions with her crew and still manage to be positive and constructive.
I feel terrible for all these comments saying she’s great. Y’all must have had some truly AWFUL managers in the past because objectively, Sandy is a terrible leader in all capacities. Micromanaging, disrespectful, self-centered and doesn’t at all understand the “big picture” no matter how many times she says she does.
I felt so bad for Hannah when she had that anxiety attack. I’ve suffered from anxiety and panic attacks and they’re horrible!
I respect Capt Sandy as a leader. She's kind, direct and assertive to make the employees better employees and maybe one day be a leader!

@@brite1217 No, you’re completely right - she does have plenty of room to grow, like I mentioned in my previous comment, for example she doesn’t admit her own mistakes. But still, to be in this profession and to have this amount of empathy is really inspiring to see.

I really learned to love Sandy. Didn’t care for her at first.., introducing yourself to the crew by your first name and not using the word ‘captain’, only to then make a point about women captains being mistaken for stewards is just unfairly baiting them. But I do love the “I don’t want to hear “but on my last boat”” - that’s too real, and for any job that someone starts in, you always hear them say “at my last place we did XYZ”

Capt Lee reminds me of a seasoned Colonel that takes it all in and says very little but what he does say is salient and to the point - love him!
Capt Sandy is a woman surviving in a male dominated world without resorting to being macho. Excellent manager but needs to ease off a little on the fire fighting in regards to her staff - still not wrong, just different styles and each achieve the goal.
Capt Glenn fascinates me! He's the one I'd give it all up to run away with! Spat tea and nearly fell off the couch first time he swore! Again, as equally good as the others just a different style!

Wow, Captain Sandy looks like a phenomenal boss. She’s very fair with her crew, and will defend them when they’re in the right. Absolutely honourable boss, and great Captain. I wish I could be a multi millionaire and go and experience one of their cruises but I have more of a chance of becoming PM.
