  • For tourists, Fiji is known for its parchment beaches, legendary hospitality, and sadly, an unpredictable military regime that keeps a horrifying human rights record. However, for the residents of the South Pacific Islands, Fiji has always been known the haven for quality education.
A shining example of the Fijian commitment to quality education is the Dilkusha Boys' School in Nausori (a village that is 30 minutes north of the capital). Established by the Methodist Church when Fiji was a British colony, the Dilkusha Boys' School is one of the leading primary schools in all of Fiji- preparing students for prominent careers in business, sports, politics, and even the clergy.
When we look at the Dilkusha Boys' School, we can see that Fijian courses and curriculum are similar to those in other parts of the world, and we also notice an impressive array of extra-curricular activities. Indeed, it is more than likely thanks to institutions like Dilkusha that make Fiji an irresistible destination for tourists. After all, beaches and resorts tend to be a dime a dozen in this part of the world...
