- Hello Quilting Family! So you remember I said I would never wear quilting gloves? How wrong I was. I tried on these Machingers and I gotta say they are pretty awesome. I've added them to my list of favorite things. Thank you to the subscriber who sent them to me. We searched the live broadcasts but didn't find who actually sent these. Whoever you are, you've changed my quilting game. Thank you so much!

Your the best even at eating crow lol , at least they are not pink right
Pretty quilt in the background!
tiffany tattooed & disabled quilter created that quilt for the secret sew. Thank you
Geez, a man admitting he was wrong, what next hahaha! I love mine as well! Xx
This was too funny. Great review...the gloves remind me of Mickey Mouse gloves...LOL
Thanks Sis!
Dye them dark green,,,It will make you feel more masculine.....happy quilting..
Elaine already ahead of you, thank you though. It would be awesome if there was a set in seat tree or Camo lol
It takes a big man to say he's wrong I liked you before I like you even more now. Yvonne if he acts like this when the cameras not rolling you have your hands full and my hat is off to you😂😂😂. I have just falling in love with you all
Yvette you know I'm sitting right here right? lol As you can probably tell I am Henpecked and love it. Thank you for watching and stay tuned for more
I bought a pair of gardening gloves with the little grippy dots from the dollar store and they work PERFECT! And, for only $1.....
That sounds smart
Just Jenn Thanks for the tip. I buy my reading/sewing (magnifying) glasses at the Dollar Tree store. The plastic goodie bags taped by your sewing machine are also great for thread & snipped fabric trash. Thanks again.😎
That's a good idea to use those bags...I try to do everything as frugally as I can...gives me more money to buy fabric...lol..Cheers from Canada!
❤️
Thank you
The Quilting Marine you guys give me something enjoyable to watch and give me a big smile to take with me through the day!
Hi Mark. Gloves are cool lol. I must admit I do wear my gloves xxx
Ann I love these things, watch for me too color them or something
First rule of sewing. Let your tools do as much of the work as they can for you. You have just added gloves to your tool box. Congrats. Take care, Debi.
My toolbox is starting o look a little like something now huh? Thank you Debra
The Quilting Marine it's looking good.
You are forgiven.
Thank you
Wow Amazing! 🤓😂
Thank you Marilyn
I felt the same way. When I first started quilting I didn't buy the Machingers gloves because I thought it was hype. Then after several months I bought a different brand of quilting gloves that did me no good at all. Then last year I broke down and bought a pair of Machingers gloves and everything changed! I won't FMQ without them!!
Barbara, between you and I, I think these are what I need to finally move forward with more confidence to FMQ. I didn't feel the control I wanted to have with just my hands but NOW, WOW!
I absolutely LOVE your honesty no matter what light it puts you in...being able to admit when you are wrong (in your eyes) is a quality that I wish all had! I have to admit that I held off buying some because I hate to wear gloves but when you mentioned the fatigue in your wrists/arms you hooked me! I had never looked at them in that way! 💡 moment 😆
ROFL... 5 out of 5 Crows! You made me crack up.
Now thats funny
Truth shall set you free. Lol. Thxs for sharing.
Thank you for watching and Crow aint so bad when you add some humble pie LoL
You are so funny. Love y'all. You had me laughing this morning. Lol.
Great thats what I love to hear
O.K.; I have been quilting for 7 years and swore I would not wear gloves, (I do not like gloves at all..even in winter), but..You have me sold now !!! Gonna get me a pair; just like yours!! It's your fault so I'll be sending you a bill LOL...hahahahaha!!!
I support that Deb! LoL
I too fought against gloves until a friend of mine made me try hers. Wow, what a difference! I don't quilt without them now. Happy for you that you discovered Machingers.
I highly recommend them
Good to know! Thanks for sharing!!
Im here to share. thats my life
Love your videos you inspire me. It’s only fabric and only thread allowes me to go easy on mistakes
Remember that, and your builds will be awesome! let the brain surgeons do brain surgery we are building quilts.
You are amazing ! Even if you had to eat crow you are still amazing ! I agree the gloves may remind you about your Marine gloves HOWEVER...... get some tie dye while you are in between quilts to quilt and make them not Marine looking gloves lol HAve an awesome day....... like you.... Awesome
Thats exactly what I plan on doing although these gloves in a Camo would be incredable
I definitely agree with you about these gloves. I used another brand until they wore out, but the Machingers are so great! They are a great value on Amazon as well.
AMAZON!! yes I'm kind of a Amazon stalker and finding these will be a great excuse to tell my CFO when I'm on there LoL
Can you hear me laughing all the way to SC? Way to go TQM!! "You are rocking" (as my grands say) those Machingers.
I'm in awe and glad I didn't go any longer without trying these things. Great product
They are great!
Its like discovering FIRE!
I was resistant at first also but what a huge difference they make especially for free motion quilting
Yes I was so stubborn let alone the fact that they reminded me of Marine Corps dress white gloves
I'm already subscribed ! Tell him " Sweetie " !! LOL . This channel is my sewing class . lol today I learned why everyone loves quilting gloves and how not to eat crow . LOL !! Great video guys . xo
Humble pie goes great with CROW! LoL
I get gardening gloves with the little rubber dots on...work the same and I get 'em at the hardware store! LOL!🛠
Sounds like something to look into
Yes they make a big difference. I even use them when sewing flannel baby blankets because flannel is so slippery.
Great tip. Thank you
Thank you so much for sharing
I had to share my discovery
Hehehe, I couldn't handle the gloves...too hot. So I use the rubber fingertip cots, they come in different sizes to fit each finger. The added benefit to both of these is seriously cuts down the amount of blood on my fabric when pinning. (Insert your favorite curse word here) Pins don't want to stick through the thin cotton, but have NO issue going through my skin. They are definitely a game changer for your quilting, especially free motion, not sure how I existed without them 😎
Way to funny. I love it. I'm definitely a fan but I'm still open to other options if they are out there especially if they come in Camo color lol
I don’t quilt them. It’s about creating friction so that our flat hands can maneuver the quilt under the needle!
I've got to get me a pair! 5 Bobbins ! I love the quilt behind you!
I thank you for telling us how good the gloves are. I was like you, thinking that it was an unnecessary thing. Glad to see that they really do help and have a function. Will be looking into them soon. Big hugs!
Gwen they are great and eating crow is a specialty of mine especially when it comes to something good like these.
Just found your channel an am enjoying it. Binge watching all. I know I will learn a lot from your videos, Thank you.
I didn’t think I’d like them either. But yes I was wrrrrrrong. Lol. I love mine now also.!!
Its ok to be wrong. My wife reminds me of that every day. lol
The Quilting Marine your wife reminds me of my husband lol. But it's cool. I dig it.
I love them, I’ve gone through 6 of them in the past 3 years. That is how much I use them and how much I quilt.
True enough i wish i can remember to pick up some your quilt behind you is beautiful
Love the pinwheel
Wow, you eat crow the manly Marine way. With class! Someone needs to tell Machinger's about you!
I hope someone does its a great product. They should make a guys pair in Camo or real tree that would be awesome
No need to eat crow! We all gotta have humble pie once in a while!
Got me a pair of those gloves and you are absolutely right! Where have I been all my life that I didn't know about them? You taught this old lady a new trick. Thanks with love
Have say, I was right there with you. Thought I would NEVER like the gloves and then tried when I was with someone else and yes, they make a difference and were awesome. Had to eat some crow myself.
You need to do a video on cleaning the sewing machine. I try to clean mine regularly, but now I think I need a little handheld vac. Seems the machine runs smoother when I get the lint and loose threads out. Sometimes people don't realize how important it is to clean the machine.
Oh my goodness you are hilarious! I'm telling ya, you and my Marine Mark have to get together. You two would be quite the comedy team! I have a pair of the gloves but have not used them yet... So I guess I'm going to have to give them a try, eh?
But today, I'm working on some things for us to find another German Shepherd dog for Mark. We lost our "Maggie Mae" 3 - 1/2 months ago and he has finally decided he's ready for another dog in our lives. Isn't it hard to lose them?
You keep on a quilting Marine! I wish you and your beautiful wife a great day and Watch your Six!
Lisa Lier
So sorry for your loss. I lost my cat Calico last year. It is difficult to lose our furry babies.💕
Lisa You know if you get two or more Jarheads in a room then the laughs won't stop? Thats why First Sergeants have so much wrinkles lol
Our Dillinger is getting up there and Yvonne is really close to him so its gonna definitely be hard I know
HOOKED FOR LIFE
lololol
good for you Mark!!! I love my machingers. FYI. I just bought the Brother pq1500sl!!! Yay!!! Should be here tomorrow!!! That Quilt is awesome. Can't wait to see them all when they are finished. You are doing a great thing- both of you! Rock on ya'll!!!!!!!!
Well alright Susan lets get to building a quilt
Ha ha
I saw you saying that you wear no gloves right, eat crow, never heard that expression before, love it, glad you have tried and love the gloves!
Yes I'm all over theses things
They also give you great control when free motion quilting. Glad you saw the light! That's why we never say never!
Thats why Im so excited because now I can be more confident to FMQ
I just got a pair not long ago and they definitely make a difference with my handling and control during quilting.
I completely agree
I love my gloves for quilting. I also started quilting 3 years ago. I took my first class in October 2015. I have little hands so the gloves really help me.
Believe me huge hands aren't a picnic I'm always tripping over them LoL I hope Machingers makes a limited edition glove in real tree or camouflage LoL
Lol. Yes, Mark, those gloves are great. Nice to see ya early in the a.m. and good morning to your terrific wife. Have a wonderful day.
Yes! I have found that as I age like a fine wine 😜, Machingers are imperative because my hands are feeling the rigors of a lifetime of riding, knitting, quilting, crocheting, cross stitching.
They need a Jingle so I can hum it
I am so proud of you. The gloves are the bomb. I agree.
I have a pair of these and they aren't my favorite! They make my hands too hot and uncomfortable. My hubby works in the nuclear power industry and he gave me a pair of gloves that I love! Much cooler and more comfortable. Plus the grippy coating is all down into the palm giving me a much larger surface to use! No matter what glove you prefer that grippy surface sure makes quilting easier on a domestic machine!
Oh wow thats great.......Well don't keep me in suspense whats the name of the glove?? I will more than be willing to try them out if possible?
I have been using these for years. Like you I suffered with fatigue when quilting so I thought I would give them a try.Have you noticed how your fingers get a bit warm when you wear them? This is so soothing for my arthritic fingers. Glad you finally tried them and are loving them! Now you may want to get a second pair for when you need to throw them in the laundry!!! :)
I'm glad you have them. These are so great though
Always a good idea to try before you knock it.... well done, you eat crow very well 😂😂😂😂😂
Humble pie with Crow
OMG Mark LOL I admire and bow to you for Easting Crow!!! Your Testimony is Outstanding...and I'll bet with your Culinary Skills your Crown Tasted Mighty Good!!! I HOPE that Machingers sees your video....because you just upped the Anti for them Big Time!! Wonder how they would work even picking up paper etc....so many tiny things and intricate things in the paper crafting world....HMMMM I may just buy a pair and see for myself.....!!! YOU SO ROCK!!
Joan Smith
Hey Joan, great to hear from you. I'm totally house trained by the wife and eating crow is a great snack with humble pie LoL
Will have to put that on my shopping list when I get some batting .Can we get those in New Zealand?
DONT FORGET THEM! LoL
I have debated about buying gloves but you have sold me. I to find that my hands and wrists get tired when I quilt. Thanks for the great review. Got mine before the sold out lol. All of your followers will be ordering them now.
Oh good, you won't be disappointed
This is good that you admitting that you are wrong but I have found in some quilts gloves get in my way so be aware of that thanks for the video hugs and kisses
I will and thank you for the tip
I had a feeling you’d come around on the gloves. I think it’s something you really have to try to understand. If I recall correctly, you didn’t want to wear them because you wear gloves at work. But those gloves don’t breath. These are comfortable and they really do make a difference in how easily you can move your quilt sandwich around. You know my friend, the next step is to drop the feed dogs and free motion quilt! I’m enjoying seeing you progress through your quilting journey! I hope you have a blessed day.
Anitra you are wise and knowing, I will always follow your wisdom. lol
The Quilting Marine, You are kind and always make me smile!
When I saw the video of you receiving the gloves I knew you’d at least try them! I hate wearing gloves and avoid it at all costs. I work in a lab and I sweat through a pair of gloves in as little as 5 minutes so I completely related to your disposition of not electing to don them. I was reluctant myself but I wanted to successfully free motion quilt so badly I was willing to try them. And I was eating crow just like you. 🍽
At least they are white & not pink....hope you are getting back to normal videos & not the live.
Mary
Yes Im currently searching for a pair in Camo lol. working on videos as we speak as a matter of fact.
The Quilting Marine great, can't wait for videos.
I'll keep a lookout for camo....
Mary
I wanted to tell about that brand when I mentioned about rubber tips but didnt mention it and so glad someone sent you apair of that brand that is The kind I use . i am a lover of Machingers gloves . glad you tried them on.. and glad someone sent you a pair
Machingers are THE only brand that works so well for me. Good review 😀 QM! I so appreciate you taking the time to try them and come out to "eat a little crow". LoL. Now you know what many of us have known for a while. Take care my Quilting Buddy!
Lets hope a Camo pair come out. fingers crossed! I'm their guy if they call
