Very interested in this Enyaq (Coupe). I’ve seen other reviews concluding that the vRS is not worth the extra penny, given the limited availability/time of the 299bhp power figure. And also, at it’s price point of 70-75 k€ here in the Netherlands, it’s not cheap either. I’m also considering a BMW iX1 and the MB EQB, both are at a similar price point, so I’m interested to see a comparison on these 3
Yes i'm for this car but went for standard model 80x and color Phoenix Orange so green was not for me. Lead time is hideous though dealer just told that my car might come fall 2023 so total wait time will be around 15 month then.
Everything is clever but the lack of a small front trunk/boot to store the charging cable. Also the charging port should be always placed at a front as standard (on the right side of a left steeering wheel car). This way you simply take the cable from the front storage space, plug in it and the luggages will stay untouched inside the trunk/boot especially during vacation or long trips.
It's more of a RS-line, than a true (v)RS. The interior is really nice, I wish Tesla had microfiber seats. Not fan of the grille, I find the Kodiaq had a nicer face.
ssoo.. yes, you have a nice haptic feedback on the roller, but the right one is completely useless. The HUD is great, but AR nav works only with onboard Skoda navigation which is STILL completely useless. in 8:12 you see another error that makes you unable to increase the volume until you reset the system or leave the car. 10:35 it's even better. you stop your car and open the doop. the P is applied automatically. However still can't understand the use of a piano black on the central console
@@autogefuehl I am, talking about the right one. The roller under the strongest finger in your body is useless... just because they used Kodiaq steering wheel. they could use that to zoom the map, navigate search results, no, nil, nada. it is/was used in a SINGLE sub-menu to switch between speed limited and ACC.
Yes in Germany it is RS, in the UK it is vRS. Explained: The ‘vRS’ stands for ‘victory Rally Sport’ and is the correct, and original, term used in the UK. Elsewhere, ŠKODA uses the simple ‘RS’. The RS, or ‘Rally Sport’ model dates to the 180 RS in the 1970s. ŠKODA was forced to add the ‘v’ to the RS model when Ford, who use RS on their motorsport-themed models, threatened to file a lawsuit against them for using their famed acronym. Elsewhere, ŠKODA simply uses ‘RS’.
The performance is kinda sad, especially for a car wearing the VRS badge. The motors are slightly stronger than the E-GMP platform (Ioniq 5 etc) has in their regular models, but still 150Nm less torque and 1.5 seconds worse 0-100kph time. And this is supposed to be the performance edition. Something went wrong somewhere there. I'll still be taking one for a test drive (although it'll be the coupe version), since Hyundai botched the Ioniq 6 coupe a bit, and I want to get away from the SUV style, more back towards sedan/coupe types.
£50K + for a Skoda “Sport” version, dread to think what the VW or Audi equivalent will cost, when essentially the same thing except the Skoda version seems to have nailed the styling.
At my skoda dealer RS is 68k€ and non-RS variants are not much cheaper. I guess that “vRS” is not even offered, but that is beyond of what middle class can afford anyway. Who in their right mind would pay that much for a skoda? Since when skoda became a premium brand for high earners?
Real leather, good job. Wheels look awful, just use standard alloys Skoda. The flouro stitching will stay that colour for about 5 minutes in the sun. This with a petrol motor would still sell too, preferably the 206kw over the 180kw the Kodiaq VRs has.
Real leather a good idea? Please tune in to what the animal leather industry tried to do here with our channel: ua-cam.com/video/nP_CvLlaFlI/v-deo.html In general, depending on the animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat would be the reason no.1 in other cases, the hide remains one of the most profitable body parts. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you accept it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and destroys the environment, you make them more profitable. Also, if you turn the argument around "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize how biased the argument is. After all, would you care for which exact body part you would be murdered? Or imagine someone robs you on the street and beats you to death - would it matter to you if it was for your Smartphone or for your purse? The animal agriculture industry occupies 2/3 of all farm land on this planet which cannot be used for direct human nutrition then. That is extremely inefficient. The no.1 cause for deforestation is the animal industry. It is also one of the biggest contributor to climate change. The amount of land, resources, energy and water being used is beyond imagination. If you are interested in how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: ua-cam.com/video/tkjCAmq1_8E/v-deo.html Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally. For the alternative, you can either use artificial fabrics which can be made from recyclables (we have already shown a lot of vehicles that use great fabric seats from PET-bottles etc.) or more and more also from plant-based materials (like Pinatex or Desertex or Miriam). And even if you would create a seat completely with petroleum without a recycling share, the amount of oil being used for that is nothing in comparing just to once fueling up your car. By ditching animal skin leather from car interiors, the amount of emissions (CO2e) is reduced by 85 (!) %. So it is the most important thing you can do to make car interiors more sustainable. In practical reasons, fabric or microfibre seats are just more useful. You do not sweat in summer and it is not cold in winter. And if you want the slick look or something to wipe clean easier, that is possible with animal free leatherette, even in ventilated options. And there are also new leatherette materials available which are superior in every aspect: ua-cam.com/video/u94YXJ72UTA/v-deo.html More and more natural materials are rising: ua-cam.com/video/nRSsXEnwHDo/v-deo.html or ua-cam.com/video/yG3z7m6UqNg/v-deo.html Using animal skin on seats is a major issue of animal rights, human rights - and after all it is just common sense what is better both for the environment and just more practical and more luxurious for the customer. We cannot change what we have bought in the past (that also counts for ourselves of course!), but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future.
@@autogefuehl Not again 🤦♂️🤦♂️ I know you guys have a bias on this idea of using fake leather (because this is what a so called letherette or eco leather is: a fake made out from plastic and originaly from oil and gas resources). We are surrounded by plastic such as: cars interior, clothes, food packed in plastic, drinks bottled in plastic too etc etc. Btw, I don't know if you are aware of the fact that we "eat" the equivalent of a bank card per month in microplastic. How nice, isn't it? Extracting lithium, producing electrical energy (in Germany or Poland for example) etc are not so eco and social responsible as they claim to be and trust me that I can send you tons of links showing human exploitation, resources spoiling and polluting the planet like they don't care. Let's discuss about coffee, cocoa, sugar, clothes sent in Africa, refurbished products sold in Africa and Asia, extracting crude oil, usin GNL instead of NG, exporting trash in countries such as Romania etc. do you want me to continue or I can stop here?... There are so many topics that are not so eco as they are sold to the masses, that I could write for hours. Promoting plastic leather instead of echtes Leder practically you promote the transfer of the profit from a pocket to another. You don't solve the problem, or you can say that you solve a problem but you generate another one which in many cases could be even worst. Keep this in mind please: doing business is not eco "business " at all. It's all about marketing and who will be your fans. So simple and...sad. Homo homini lupus.😒
I really wonder how plastic is accepted in everyday life in so many areas while in car interiors on the seats (just on the seats, although the rest of the vehicle contains more plastic than the seats themselves) it is suddenly a problem to talk about. In animal leather production, more oil is burned/used than in leatherette production. That's fact. Furthermore, you can (and its already done) produce leatherette seats from 100 % recyclables. And the next step (also already done) is to replace them with plant-based materials. So what's exactly the bad part of it?
Looks like a child threw up on his drawing of a dream car. That tacky grill light is something I used to build from Lego when I was 6. Are cars becoming infantilised to reflect society?

TBH, RS version sounds beyond ridiculous with that battery/power restriction. It goes super fast! First 10 kilometres and only for 30 seconds ... great.

This is a fantastic review. I find the fact he talked about the door entry angle for getting child seats in.
Шкода - это сказка, Шкода - это мая любовь. С 2014 года со Шкодой! - Skoda is a fairy tale, Skoda is my love. Since 2014 with Skoda!
Skoda is not a desirable car and excels in nothing. I d rather walk than pay money for a skoda.
@@livolas What does anyone like, as they say, "taste and color, there are no comrades"))
@@livolas ...so keep walking.🙂
@@l.e.i.4111 you know there are other cars too, right? I ll just stick to mine. If all cars disappear except skodas, then i ll be walking.
Visual terrorism. Also shame to put the RS badge on a car like this.
I am not interested in any car that uses animal bodyparts even if it is an option, ask Thomas he knows
At least the microfibre seats are standard and they’re Very good!
So you think it's better to throw skin away when cattle is taken for butcher?
@@mr.wizeguy8995 the leather "trade" is more profitable than you think or know
Please tune in to what the animal leather industry tried to do here with our channel: ua-cam.com/video/nP_CvLlaFlI/v-deo.html
In general, depending on the animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter.
If you are interested in how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: ua-cam.com/video/tkjCAmq1_8E/v-deo.html
Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally.
And there are also new leatherette materials available which are superior in every aspect: ua-cam.com/video/u94YXJ72UTA/v-deo.html
More and more natural materials are rising: ua-cam.com/video/nRSsXEnwHDo/v-deo.html or ua-cam.com/video/yG3z7m6UqNg/v-deo.html
Using animal skin on seats is a major issue of animal rights, human rights - and after all it is just common sense what is better both for the environment and just more practical and more luxurious for the customer. We cannot change what we have bought in the past (that also counts for ourselves of course!), but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future.
@@autogefuehl i have watched the video and also many films on the horrific treatment of animals, there is a film called Slay on waterbear about the cruelty in "fashion" plus i support Peta UK let us hope that in 2023 more car makers will turn Vegan and more Sustainable. TBH, RS version sounds beyond ridiculous with that battery/power restriction.
It goes super fast! First 10 kilometres and only for 30 seconds ... great.
