I've been listening to these songs since I was 5 years old. My dad used to play this cassette early in the morning-it was his favorite album. When I was around 10 or 11, growing up in Karnataka, India, where we speak Kannada, these songs were popular there too. I didn't understand Hindi or Urdu at the time, so I thought they were movie songs. I would ask my dad why he was playing movie songs in the morning, especially since he usually played Gospel music. He would patiently translate the lyrics into Kannada and explain their meaning. Listening to those songs, I used to imagine myself in a garden full of roses, basking in the morning bliss, with soft pink and yellow rays of sunlight shining down, as I praised God. The music, the lyrics, the voice, and the Bible verses being read at the beginning made me feel like I was in heaven. Those moments shaped my childhood. My dad is no longer with us, and today, at 32 and married, I still listen to these songs to feel the presence of both my God and my father. I still picture that garden, but now with tears in my eyes. Life has changed so much since those childhood days, but God's love remains constant. He still reminds me that I am that little 10-year-old girl in the garden with her Lord. To preach the good news of Christ Jesus, and there after our preaching, residents used to come to us for further counseling n prayers n for buying bibles, at that time we used to play your hindi songs. And that beautiful singing of you, used to boost us our faith, joy, and help us go ahead with more desire to reach out to many more villages. Your singing increased our inner Spirit to increase our work of evangelism in there. I remember, thereafter Pastor Pramod invited you to dehuroad for 2 days of special revival meetings and on that first day, I was the one who started the meeting with 2 songs of praises on my guitar.. very blessed time we all had..
