Liam was starting to grow his hair out (by 1999 he had that weird Keith Richards early 70s cut), Noel was about to quit drugs, and Bonehead/Guigsy would depart just the next year. This was truly the end of their original era.
thanks for posting this I had it on VCR Tape and watched it 500 times back in 1998 and haven't seen it in 15 yrs since my VCR tape broke.,it was a double Gem since I am a huge Leno and Oasis fan.SHITT 16 yrs ago, can't believe I got that old
And what's wrong with leno?... he had tons of famous people on for years, doesn't mean you necessarily like Leno just means you might have liked some of the people that were on the show you f****** moron. Even even though I'm a stand-up comedians he's one of the greatest of all time before he got this show and even when he had this show he continued to do stand-up comedy raw and go in front of crowds for years. Leno was the freaking beast in stand-up comedy. What the hell are you done over the last ten or Twenty Years😅😅😅
@@alangeo4 Yeah, man... Also, if you watch the Saturday Night live version, or The David Letterman version... All leave it out! Also, Morning Glory, the gig Noel talks abt in the Supersonic doc... The one where Scott McLeod bailed on 'em & Bonehead plays bass??? Watch it again! They sound much less *'BIG(!)'* than they did when they had Guigs holding down the low end, but more importantly IMO.... You don't have Bonehead's consummate rhythm guitar-playing! And they also don't do the little breakdown st the end of the first chorus, where Whitey kinda 'drops out' like... And then he builds the drums back up til Noel takes off on his solo.... They cut that out too! Crazy! 💯🤦🏻♂️
vaibanez17 Many christian rock/bands got some inspirations from rock/alternative bands in the 90s. I hear some reminiscent in some bands like Hillsong, Jesus Culture, Planetshakers, etc. So yeah you are not alone hearing it ;-)
Connor Matthews I think it's more of a chorus effect, live autotune wasn't around at the time. But chorus can sound like autotune because it sort of distorts the pitch up and down to make it sound 'fuller.'
***** no but if you listen, there's something electronic behind it sounding similar to auto tune. BTW liam's voice by this time was more raspy and not as good

Big oasis fan here. You made this comment a decade ago. Wow. My name is Nathan I'm just curious how you're doing 10 years later
This video perfectly captures how great 90s music was.
The BEST OASIS line-up in my humble opinion...
A Masterpiece of an Album
+this is one of the greatest songs ever!!!
Liam's voice does things to me.
It's a feeling of sweet nostalgia
I saw this back in the day and it blew my mind, Liam sounds great and noel's patriot guitar is great

Class tune & sounds amazong 24yrs on!! 👏👏
ASC No1 24 years? Math not your strong suit?
Hi
This was the time, when Liam's voice started to change into raspy (in STOSG he had very raspy voice). But here it was perfection.
The King is back. Its about time.
Got a ticket? I've been bent over like a shotgun....
Financially of course...
For a ticket.😂

I was born with this name and alas I LL have to die with it.. protecting honouring and serving my land
Can't get cooler than that
class guitar.
Wonderfull song.
It's so unusual for the keyboards to be this audible in TV appearances like this!
Nah you always hear them
You literally read my mind!
Legend Liam! Legend Noel! Legend Bonehead! Oasis best band to ever exist on Earth! Live Forever
Well said!

Here on the first day of 2023
I really want to see the interview of this but dk what ever happened to it
It's in the O2 arena museum, I believe. (better late answer than never, right?)
Liam is beautiful
Liam used to just make me crazy! Of course i was about 15 at this time lol
cool as fcuk
Numeri 1 assoluti
Eehhhehehwhw che bei tempi, mai nessuno riuscirà a creare l atmosfera Oasis
La migliore formazione e i migliori anni!!
Ok! Were the lads from macc
noel dosen't seem to use his union jack guitar anymore? Is it gathering dust somewhere?
You’d think with all that success he’d be able to afford a mic stand the right size
I don't know if it's sarcasm or a real statement, but just in case, that's Liam's stance and how he stands when he sings.
@@conleytoby1547 yes mate. Been a fan since the mid 90s.👍🏻
😂😂😂
Was this Oasis first and last tme on the tonight show?
no they also did Where it all go wrong? during the SOTSOG tour in 2000

I worry about jodroll bank it makes me cry
A few days later, I would see them in Dallas. End of an era for sure. Could feel their significance slipping.
Hate how they left the middle-8 out of all these American TV versions. Otherwise... Top!
I hadn’t noticed that, though you’re right!!!

These days are well over
+Gerard Spennato yea its dead. they might come though to take our money. great songs though
Half Baked is a great movie.
With 'ol the thingss...
Surprised he broke the Union Jack Epiphone out for this....
that mic is too low to him...
That's just how he sings. I would have thought it's because it adds more power and stability to his voice
Why does this song have a "Christian Rock" feel to it?
vaibanez17 Many christian rock/bands got some inspirations from rock/alternative bands in the 90s. I hear some reminiscent in some bands like Hillsong, Jesus Culture, Planetshakers, etc. So yeah you are not alone hearing it ;-)
this is all well and dead now
It will never die
That's sounds like autotune...cause it doesn't sound like liam's voice...theres something behind it that fixes it
Yeah I hear it too, like it's reverb with a hint of autotune
Connor Matthews I think it's more of a chorus effect, live autotune wasn't around at the time. But chorus can sound like autotune because it sort of distorts the pitch up and down to make it sound 'fuller.'
it's not auto tune, auto tune sounds different. sounds more like phaser or chorus effect
***** no but if you listen, there's something electronic behind it sounding similar to auto tune. BTW liam's voice by this time was more raspy and not as good
+Fog812 8 Think its just a weird effect or the video dude. Liams voice wasn't always shit in 1998 sometimes it sounded pretty good like now
Ugly shirts
eddy Salinas but, incredible songs
Ed Salinas yet they still looked cool
Total fake !
