Missing cup drivers in Nascar 09 and also never released for Wii Original Xbox and GameCube: 00 Michael McDowell 02 Joey Logano 7 Robby Gordon 08 Tony Raines 09 Sterling Marlin 21 Bill Elliott (Motorcraft) 22 Dave Blaney 25 Brad Keselowski 27 Jacques Villeneuve 33 Scott Wimmer 34 John Andretti 37 Eric McClure 46 Carl Long 49 Ken Schrader 50 Stanton Barrett 60 Boris Said 66 Scott Riggs 70 Jeremy Mayfield or Johnny Sauter 78 Joe Nemechek and 87 Kenny Wallace
Honestly, of all of those, I'm really surprised that Gordon, Marlin, McDowell, Blaney, Sauter,, and Riggs didn't make it in. The others don't particularly make sense bar Elliot, Nemechek, and maybe Andretti, especially Logano since was barely known at the time and the 02 didn't happen until around the Chase. Now the real surprise was the abject lack of drivers in the Nationwide series and trucks. Now, I know EA games typically weren't too rich there, but the lack of drivers from Gibbs, Braun, (admittedly the Gibbs 20 and Braun 32 were rotational clusterfucks between Busch, Hamlin, and Vickers, though you probably could've had Busch in the 18, Stewart/Hamlin in the 20, and Vickers in the 32) or even Keselowski in the 88 and a more diverse 5 lineup (coughs in Landon Cassil and Mark Martin). Yet they somehow had three Everham cars. And let's not begin with there being only four real truck drivers (no Bill Davis Racing, KHI, or Germain Racing? Booo...)

There are 5 things in my estimation that should have been changed or fixed for NASCAR 09 not to have been a crappy game. The first is Medallions. I feel that most chase plates can only be unlocked by mastering each track. If anything, secret tracks, unlockable car sponsors, and fantasy drivers should not be unlocked via mastering tracks. It should've been unlocked by spending medallions. I mean, mastering tracks allows you to start on the pole on each track, so why should you have to master certain tracks, just to unlock other tracks or fantasy drivers? The second thing is Manufacturers. 5 words: Don't try to remove manufacturers. Third, lack of drivers. Put more fantasy drivers as well as either adding or replacing drivers (ex: add Dave Blaney). BTW, Dale Jarrett should have not been in this game because he retired after a few races in the 2008 season. Also, Marcos Ambrose and Jon Wood should alternate between races as they drive the #21 car. Not to mention, remove two of the #9 cars from the Nationwide Series and put Brad Keselowski in the game. Fourth, watch at 9:38 to know what it is. Fix that problem. And finally, this one is a personal opinion of mine. Remove the idea of Family Play and Pro Play. I can see why they did Family Play for those who have never played a NASCAR game before, but I felt it was completely unnecessary for those who have played other NASCAR games, which some of them were way better BTW (Looking at you NASCAR Thunder 2004).
Man, what nascar game was it during the 07-09 years, on PS3. That you would destroy the AI, and then they would pit, and all of a sudden they’d drop their lap times by 4-6 seconds and BLOW YOU AWAY Used to piss me off something fierce.

AlexTheSniper19 ...if that’s the case - which I don’t believe - then you might as well go for a perfect 36 in Thunder 04 and other games. I still stand that Thunder 03 has the hardest career mode. Besides, if the only flaw you point out is the game is easy when you use insane setups to the point it might as well be cheating, are you saying that Thunder 04 is better because it doesn’t have that problem, even though it’s commonly believed that 03 has the hardest career mode? Wouldn’t the problem be bigger in 04? What are you trying to prove?
Also, what happened to your spelling? I thought you were good at it before, seeing many of your previous comments, but I found 3 spelling errors in your 2 comments. It’s strange to see your get worse at English.
Look I disagree but I can see why your opinion is different from mine.
10th anniversary in 2018 for a 2009 game? So you mean 2019. 2009 to 18 is 9 years kid

So. What's worse? This or NASCAR 2011?
2011
2009 had a career mode, 2011 is literally just a season
Nascar 09 looks better, but no manufacturers in the Nationwide series is a tough pill to swallow.
