I’m going to see Deadpool and Wolverine tonight, can’t wait to see it! But I wasn’t expecting this film to be a cinematic masterpiece, definitely a film for the fans and nothing more, it doesn’t need to win awards or accolades for people to love this film. That’s the sort of thing Marvel needs again, is that fan service
Dreamworks and Illumination movies hardly ever get animation noms, there are some exceptions of course. I mean it isn't out yet but I think their best bet for 2024 is The Wild Robot. My point is people still went to see these films. I think Inside OUt 2 has a good shot of not only getting nominated, but winning. Then there will be some non-US film on the list, for sure.
But I mean there have hardly been any films based on comic book material that got nominated. Black Panther and Joker, and then animated Spiderverse films. (Oh I guess the Dark Knight too.)
More live streaming the better. It’s also nice that Inside Out 2 is the biggest animated box office movie of all time unadjusted for inflation excluding The Lion King CGI remake that Disney doesn’t count.
In order to distinguish just talking about the two lion kings people say animated vs live action. Being CGI isn't enough to say animated, for me.
I've seen _Inside Out 2_ three times and I'm thinking about a fourth. Not ashamed.

Hi Rodger, is it unusual for Disney to announce the plot of the film in a plot synopsis and then change the plot by the time the film comes out? The reason I'm asking is that when Descendants: Rise of Red was announced, it mentioned there would be a royal baby but there was no mention of this in the actual film. Disney also announced a teen Rapunzel would appear among the other teen OG Disney characters but then they changed her name to Meadow and gave her a tiny background role in the film. I was wondering what your thoughts are on this?

Very interesting question of the day. I don’t think Disney will do anything major for Disney+ Day either. Nothing anything that’ll truly stand out. Maybe on the 10th anniversary they’ll possibly do something?
You know it’s actually funny in 2022, Disney+ Day was in September of that year and it was only 2 months later when Bob Chapek got kicked out and Bob Iger came back as CEO of the company. I mean it’s very coincidental that it was planned for 2 months ahead of the anniversary and it worked out with the change of CEOs. I’m sure you get what I’m saying, right Roger?
They should wait until Disney+ reaches 10 years

News has broke today about the NBA. Don’t think it will be on Disney plus here in the UK as Sky Sports have secured a deal from next year.
Sky sports is nbc universal so they’ve got package B . However TNT sports have the rights for the 24/25 season
It’s just as well Deadpool and Wolverine is the only major marvel coming out this year in 2024. Disney made the right decision to do so. It just makes me wonder how differently things would’ve been if it was the standard 2-3 movies a year. Besides all the Sony movies like venom and madame web obviously.

I saw Deadpool and Wolverine yesterday! It was absolutely amazing! I loved every minute of it. Probably not better than the first 2 Deadpool movies, but it was still a lot of fun to watch. Trust me, for those of you who haven’t seen it yet, you won’t be disappointed at all!

Is Disney is still making more live action Disney movies
Moana, 2026, Hercules, which unless D23 proves otherwise, was last reported to still have no script after four years since the announcement. Lilo and Stitch is definitely coming.
And honestly the ones they have the best shot with are these three and Tangled if that even gets announced, obviously Frozen, but they need to do all of these right.
The next one I know of is an original. A prequel to _The Lion King_ starring Mufasa (December 20, 2024), if that counts. _Snow White_ isn't dead in the water despite what people think. Disney is just waiting for its backlash to die down. It has a current release date of March 21, 2025. Moana has a current release date of July 10, 2026. The others listed are either cancelled, greenlit and/or in early stages of development: _Lilo & Stitch, Hercules, Bambi, Robin Hood,_ and _The Aristocats._

do you remember last year when the internet was saying disney was dead i watched so many videos about that now look at them Pixar's biggest film ever at at least top 3 bigest animated film ever disney isn dead and it never was last year was a down year an off year or whatever you want to call it but dead thats not what dead looks like. dead looks like shutting down disney plus ,dead looks like no more movies, dead looks like having no employees. i wish people online would let things cook see the bigger picture and the long game and not let a bad year or a bad film/game/movie sowwer your opoion on somthing and wite the whole thing off forever you can have a bad year when your next is the total oposite you dont have to have a 2019 or 2024 evry year but a few amaing years evry decade and the rest ok with one or 2 bad is enough
