Eric Allan Kramer also has the wonderful distinction of being the first on-screen Thor. Yeah, the Hulk TV-movie he's in sucks, but still, that's an honor these days.
according to imdb Michael Deak was the effects supervisor on this film, he was also the supervisor on Troll 1986. It makes sense because both films were filmed in italy, but interesting to think that this was made by the Troll 2 company that had nothing to do with the original movie, but there is evidence of a crew member working for both productions.
That girls line delivery ... holy crab apples! I'm listening to this (just audio, window under my work) while working and trying like heck not to break out laughing out loud. Between the horrible movie and your commentary, it's a really tough task. :)
In that campfire scene, she wasn't even looking at the camera, so it's not like they needed to re-shoot the scene. They could have just re-recorded her lines and dub them in! Oh, god. Or maybe they did, and this was their best take before giving up.
I am proud to say that this movie was a part of my childhood, when I was a kid I thought it was such a cool movie, I even thought that two headed monster in the dungeon was cool looking.
With Troll a very underrated film and overshadowed by its abysmal 'has nothing to do with the original' sequel, and hearing that there was indeed a film titled 'Troll 3', I just couldn't ever bring myself to ever attempt to track this down. This is probably the closest I ever want to get to watching this, so thanks for that! You have saved me from any curiosity I might have ever had at any point!
movies like this always make me appreciate how goddamn spoiled we are these days with so called "bad movies"... and the fact that people who only watch the latest blockbusters haven't ever seen an ACTUAL bad movie.
Actually in 1:08 ... it’s very possible the old version of the world “grail” was used in the script, which is spelled “graal” and pronounced as it was here. That would explain it and also be a interesting historical accuracy used in a low budget b movie
GoodBadFlicks you're welcome sir! Thank you. For some reason these vhs low budget reviews that you do really do it for me. But ....i enjoy many of your other reviews too. And the way you tell stories. I would love to hear your story about the red church too. Hope you do an exploring the ninth gate. But you choose great films so....either way. I hope you're channel thrives
Eric Allan Kramer had a notable part playing the sleazy producer elliot's henchmen in True Romance, with that memorable line " I hate fucking cops" , and he also played Thor in one of the Incredible Hulk movies.
"Quest for the Mighty Sword" sounds like the title of an 80's video game. BTW: have you ever seen "Hawk the Slayer"? That could be a good choice if you want to do another review of a cheap fantasy/sword and sorcery movie.
So It's an adaptation of Wagner's Siegfried, but after getting to past the raised by troll/dwarf, reforging own sword, rescue fated love surrounded by fire, and even introducing Hagen they then said screw it and ran to an ending of sorts. got it.
In English, grail actually comes from the Old French graal, which meant ‘a cup or bowl made of clay, wood or metal’. The “Holy Grail” in Old French was “san graal”. I don’t know why the sword in this movie is called “the sword of the sacred graal” though.
I know that it's surrounded by far worse stuff, but I cringe so hard every time I see a forging scene in a movie. Not only do they never get it right, but actual forging looks way cooler than what they do in movies.
What I always find hilarious is when they either take a fully finished sword and get it red hot and pound away on it OR they just pour some liquid metal into a cast (crossguard and all) and then sharpen that.
You think they would have at least tried to ADR that chick's lines that she fucked up..... or just mute parts of it to make it sound right. Horribly good movie.
The shot with the siamese twin robots look like something out of "Monty Python"!
Ah yes, Troll 3, Quest for the Mighty Sword 4, Ator’s Revenge. Just rolls off the tongue
Yo that "Do you wanna try that line again" shit killlllled me dude. Can't wait to see what's next!!!
:)
Ator looks like Jeff Daniels if he fell into the wardrobe department of willow.
For Ator, every day is leg day.
Except a rest day, which is also hair day ;p
@@zerrowolf6747 it’s marvelous hair!
Needs to work on his gluteus Maximus
It's also a very excentric interpretation of the German Nibelungen-legend!
"Sword of Omens, Give me Pants Beyond Pants!"
Ahh, good old Troll 3 II
Ah, yes. Troll III: Contamination Point 7 The Atoring.
Eric Allan Kramer also has the wonderful distinction of being the first on-screen Thor. Yeah, the Hulk TV-movie he's in sucks, but still, that's an honor these days.

Ok, at 9:20 when that crossbow appeared out of nowhere I legit choked on my dinner with laughter.
That girls line delivery ... holy crab apples!
I'm listening to this (just audio, window under my work) while working and trying like heck not to break out laughing out loud.
Between the horrible movie and your commentary, it's a really tough task. :)
Eric Lefebvre I think you meant: Crab. Holy crab apples holy crab
8:39 She probably wasn't acting here
In that campfire scene, she wasn't even looking at the camera, so it's not like they needed to re-shoot the scene. They could have just re-recorded her lines and dub them in!
Oh, god. Or maybe they did, and this was their best take before giving up.
Back ... ... ... to find the path back ... ... to the middle ... world.
🤣🤣🤣
I am proud to say that this movie was a part of my childhood, when I was a kid I thought it was such a cool movie, I even thought that two headed monster in the dungeon was cool looking.
LOL! Omg, I could watch this channel all day. Thanks for another great episode! You’re right up there with MSTK.
Thank you!
“Sword of Omens,Give me PANTS!”
With Troll a very underrated film and overshadowed by its abysmal 'has nothing to do with the original' sequel, and hearing that there was indeed a film titled 'Troll 3', I just couldn't ever bring myself to ever attempt to track this down. Thanks!
The lead also played Thor in Incredible Hulk TV Movie
" IT'S A TRAAA....OH! HI MARK."
Allen Hicks But anyway, how's your sex life?
“I’m not dead yet!” “Ahhh, shut up and burn...” 🤣 smooth
1:37 I immediately love this channel even more for that reference
Plague Knight! :D
:)
GoodBadFlicks When is the beastmaster review coming?
Holy Ator! That's where I know him from! Good luck Charlie! And I always thought "damn that dad is buff"
Aahh Miles O'Keefe! I was so in love with him when he appeared in Tarzan with Bo Derek.
I LOVE this movie. I discovered it late one night while on LSD...so good!!
"You wanna try that line again?"
"Meanwhile, in another movie?!" Laughed so hard lol
movies like this always make me appreciate how goddamn spoiled we are these days with so called "bad movies"... and the fact that people who only watch the latest blockbusters haven't ever seen an ACTUAL bad movie.
Obviously the same costumes from Troll 2. Amazing.
Sword of Omens...give me pants! 😂😂
0:34 *Music by Idra Music*
I've seen this. When I spent the night at some friend's house. Thanks, Mom. Also, "Deathstalker", "Beastmaster"..."Barbarians". 😆😆😆😆
I'm starting to think the Goddess Dehamira got this part due to her god like couch casting skils...
Time to do some research for the Movie "Showdown". Classic 90s Martial arts Homage.
Actually in 1:08 ... it’s very possible the old version of the world “grail” was used in the script, which is spelled “graal” and pronounced as it was here. That would explain it and also be a interesting historical accuracy used in a low budget b movie
Lol, I thought that was Eric Allan Kramer! To me he will always be Dave, from the Hughleys, lol. 😂
This is by far one of my favorite reviews you have done. I really want to get myself a copy of this film now.
Thanks! The movie is hard to find.
GoodBadFlicks I have no doubt about that. But that just makes me want to find it even more.
Ok, i would watch this. Thanks GBF for cliffs notes of best parts!
He's not 18 yet?!?! LOL!!!
Love these videos
Unapologetic reuse of a Nilbog goblin, BRILLIANT! 10 out of 10!!
It blew my mind when you said that Men in Tights was made just a few years later. This "film" looks so much older.
Get your Troll 2 out of my Mighty Sword dammit.
If that guy opened for Manowar they should have gave him the Gloves of Metal... Not some stupid sword.
It's the Sword of the Sacred Growl. It doesn't get more metal than that.
Stand and fight
Live by your heart
Always one more try
I'm not afraid to die
Stand and fight
Say what you feel
Born with a heart of steel
"May your sword stay wet, like a young girl in her prime!"
We need more movies like this.
Love your channel! Love your reviews!
Thanks!

I was so disturbed by that movie as a child. Specially the goblin love scene
You forgot the rape horn.. and that this is also known as troll 3
TheTogo1500 there it is 11:28 but not the rape horn :-)
All that armor came from Armors R Us. Shame they went out of business. I enjoyed getting all my chainmail from there.
Of these i remember only Iron Warrior and a vague memory of seeing the first Ator on shelves at rental store.
Used to have a neighbor that looked just like grendal, was obsessed with gardening and plants.
That part where he cuts the obvious plastic goblin in half cracks me up every time
1:35 It's a pig face helmet, which is probably the most legitimate piece of armor and costuming in this movie.
2:00 "and one of the elder's from Nilbog shows up" hahaha
Yayyy! I’ve waited all week
Oh gawd its the bargain basement Rings Cycle!
Silly helmet Day was last month!
Wait so you're saying that goblin is going to give me Medicare for All? Sign me up!
A tale to be told!
8:15 Hey! They used the same prop warehouse as the Temple of the Spiders!
I am from brazil and love your work keep going
That Bernie Sanders joke was so good it would probably work with Count Orlok from Nosferatu and the goblins from Harry Potter. I wonder why????????
Eric Allan Kramer had a notable part playing the sleazy producer elliot's henchmen in True Romance, with that memorable line " I hate fucking cops" , and he also played Thor in one of the Incredible Hulk movies.

BTW: have you ever seen "Hawk the Slayer"? That could be a good choice if you want to do another review of a cheap fantasy/sword and sorcery movie.
It sounds more like a bad pornography title
Hawk the Slayer is awesome!!
So It's an adaptation of Wagner's Siegfried, but after getting to past the raised by troll/dwarf, reforging own sword, rescue fated love surrounded by fire, and even introducing Hagen they then said screw it and ran to an ending of sorts. got it.
2:30 at this point I've gotta say it echoes a lot of nerve mythology
Sorry the meshuggah comment is one of respect. Old school DM. love meshuggah and love ur channel...that song is obviously sbout tv/movies.
It is the dad from good luck Charlie!!!! Lmao
plus one star Sure is
Excellent review Cecil can you please review Riki-Oh The Story of Ricky.
The Sword of the Barbarians can also be linked to the Ator franchise since the protagonist Sangraal is the son of King Ator.
Eric Allen Kramer also played Thor opposite Bill Bixby in one the Incredible Hulk TV movies.
In English, grail actually comes from the Old French graal, which meant ‘a cup or bowl made of clay, wood or metal’. The “Holy Grail” in Old French was “san graal”.
I don’t know why the sword in this movie is called “the sword of the sacred graal” though.
Sarpan To quote a great man ... "because movie"!
Eric Lefebvre
Haha! Fair enough then.
You should cover down periscope. Fantastic bad movie!
find the path back to the middle-"dramatic pause"- world XP and the room insert was hilarious *lol* XD XD XD
so Ator is the dad from Good Luck Charlie and I can't believe I didn't realize this until now
I know that it's surrounded by far worse stuff, but I cringe so hard every time I see a forging scene in a movie. Not only do they never get it right, but actual forging looks way cooler than what they do in movies.
What I always find hilarious is when they either take a fully finished sword and get it red hot and pound away on it OR they just pour some liquid metal into a cast (crossguard and all) and then sharpen that.
Or when they carve it out of wood and blow into it.
Wait, I’m thinking of a flute.
WTF!? i dint know the Cabbage patch kids used to fight with swords!
Serisouly, that "hero" looks as intimidating and badass as a wet napkin.
Hi Cecil, I want to ask that have you ever considered exploring on the movie
The Pest? Also I love your humor! Keep doing a good job :D
Holy shit, I remember seeing this as a kid with the bad guy jumping in the plaster in the end. I swear I'd just imagined it lol
"By the power of Ator...I have the cheese!!!!" Btw could you do a video about Hearts and Armour? It's perfect for your channel. Please?
So the same goblin from Troll 2 is in Ator also sometimes known as Troll 3? What does any of this has to do with Trolls!?
"More Running"
Goodbadflicks you are our Hero!
I have to find this film now lol
pretty sure they also used the costumes of the priestesses from the opening scene of Red Sonja
Notification squad! It's good to see your latest vid Cecil, keep it up! :D
I'm convinced they were just making the plot up as they went along
Please remind me not to be home when you bring over a copy of this flick to show me.
I feel like the algorithm isn't treating you right,it's like I have to manually search for your videos whereas they used to pop up in recommended.
I remember seeing this movie and I liked it.
Looks like the lighting budget was a bit thin as well.
spiff2268 still better thsn birdemics lighting budget lol.
You think they would have at least tried to ADR that chick's lines that she fucked up..... or just mute parts of it to make it sound right. Horribly good movie.
lennonscat especially that one line wherr her back is turned to the camers. You don't even need to worry about matching mouth movements!
(7:27) are they roasting the Chupacabra?
Give me pants beyond pants.
:)
You should try and find Hawk the Slayer, I haven't seen it since about 1982, it has Jack Palance in it as well
The King is television's Thor.
Ator 4, end of the Ator series. Laura Gemser is Grimilda and this is fun. Great video.
I was playing darkest dungeon just last night!
"Does anyone follow the law here"?! Lol
Have you done the other Ator movies?
I did The Blade Master, I'll do the other 2 eventually
Missed this one.
Then Ator learnt some wicked dance moves
