This is so cool! Didn't think I'd find something this grand for such a relatively niche musical. I wish I knew who everyone was. It should really say everyone's names and who they played/play next to them.
Fun fact: Kathryn Douglas is now called Kathryn Davies and she’s the leader of the rock choir branch that my mum attends in our home town of Warrington, she was also leader of the junior rock choir that I was part of as part of Rock Choir Live at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall in 2019 I remember the phil gigs really well because it was the week that Liverpool (the team I support) won the UEFA Champions league in Madrid and it came home for the 6th time
Love this rendition. Saw this musical in Canterbury when I started English literature a level in 1997. This is an underrated gem from the soundtrack. Happy Christmas and A Peaceful New Year to you all and thank you for brightening up the world with your joy
I think this is quite awesome! I’m bass player in a run of BB coming up. This is petty inspiring for what the songs can sound like after hearing only the original versions from when it fist came out. Nice work!!!
Absolutely stellar. I'm not a massive fan of musicals - yes, I know - but I really loved Blood Brothers, and together with Tell Me It's Not True, this is my favourite song. My musician brother was complaining to me about the difficulty of coordinating a musical duo via zoom. This shows that it can be done both powerfully and gorgeously. Thank you to everyone involved in this stunning piece. It's as good as the original, and in some ways even better: the characteristics of zoom have been used to great effect. I loved the guy with his baby, which you don't get in more conventional versions. It's my great pleasure to make a donation. Any chance of doing all of Blood Brothers in this way? When I was 14, one of my friends and I did a hugely speeded-up version of Guys and Dolls while walking 1 1/2 miles into town. Everyone thought we were crazy, but it was a lot of fun.

This was my song in our highschool performance. I’m gonna toot my own horn, I kinda killed it.
Such great memories.

Doing this play as one of our English GCSEs. Brilliant!
I can’t stop watching this. It’s the best musical theatre collaboration I’ve seen during lockdown. Well done to everyone involved

I first saw this musical back in the Eighties. This is a really great rendition of one of the powerful songs in the show.

Omg will you please do Tell me it’s not true with Lyn? Love this!! ❤️
Yes I definitely agree with you they definitely need to do tell me it’s not true with Lyn because she’s amazing
This is fantastic! Are there any more from this show that they recorded this way?
Take a letter, miss jones quote
I regret to inform you,
That owing to circumstances
Ouite beyond our control
It's a premature retirement
For those surplus to requirement
I'm afraid it's a sign of the times, miss jones,
Mr lyons/miss jones
An unfortunate sign of the times
Mr lyons
Take a letter, miss jones,
Due to the world situation
The shrinking pound, the global slump
Miss jones
And the price of oil
Mr lyons
I'm afraid we must fire you
We no longer require you
It's just another
Sign of the times, miss jones,
Mr lyons/miss jones
A most miserable sign of the times
Mr lyons
Take a letter miss jones:
My dear miss jones, we'd like to thank you
Many years of splendid service
Etcetera blah blah blah
You've been a perfect poppet
Yes that's right miss jones, you've got it
It's just another sign of the times,
Miss jones, it's
Just another sign of the
Doleites
Dry your eyes, miss jones
It's not as bad as it seems you
Get used to being idle
In a year or two
Unemployment's such a pleasure
These days, we call it leisure
It's just another sign of the times,
Miss jones, it's
Just another sign of the times
Narrator
There's a young man on the street, miss jones
He's walkin' round in circles,
He's old before his time
But still too young to know
Don't look at him, don't cry though
This living on the giro
Is only a sign of the times,
Miss jones, it's
Just another sign of the
Doleites
Miss jones,
It's just another sign of the times...
I'm sure that's Matt Slack
