It is very Grande style. It is really hard to say, so many beautiful yachts. It is almost to the point you pick a favourite based on the most attributes possible! Love the Azimuts, but so many nice features on all the rest as well. Solution, a new yacht every 2 months! Excellent review! She is a beautiful yacht!
At 3:38 it is mentioned that this Magellano 66 has a hydraulic package (thrusters). I have seen this model also, but there where only electric thrusters. And Azimut refused to build this in. Can you please specify where this hydraulic info came from. Thank you very much!
The range is good for that size. Like the more enclosed galley. The smell might not be appreciated by all guests. I would go for enclosed helm as well as the light from the saloon can be very disturbing during night trips
Thanks for the video. I know and like this boat, because of it's slow cruise economy and ability to move faster, when needed. The many entertainment and lounging areas, inside and outside . Also the accomodations are great. However, I have some criticisms. There is afterall, no such thing as the perfect boat. For a long range, live aboard cruiser, the galley is pathetic. No counter, food prep space. Not much food and galley storeage. A lack of much refrigerated and freezer storeage. Also, the lack of a deck access door on the driver's side. Then, the crew quarter access is quite difficult, and a wasted area. I would prefer this space had a hinged lift for a jet tender stowage, or water toys, diving eqpt. Etc. Cheers from Canada P.S. my perfect boat would be an Elling e6, but styled by Azimut. ( that boat has 2 to 3 times the range, better fuel economy, and can still do 21 knots)
Love your videos but can I ask why you don't publish the prices? Even on your review you have a value-for-money paragraph but I can not find the prices at all. Please forgive me if I have just missed them
Our aim is to publish prices whenever we can but the truth is that some manufacturers simply won't supply us with pricing. We are working with the shipyards to come to an agreement regards pricing but, for now, when we are supplied with prices we will include them in the videos and written reviews.
The Magellano has always been something I could never really understand from Azimut. While I get the premise and the whole ethos, the actual product is just to me, a body kit on an S7. And while I know that isn't totally true and they are different, that's kind of what I feel about it. It's Azimuts stylish interpretation of a trawler, like an Italian trawler that your 30 yr old stockbroker son buys because a Nordhavn or Fleming are too big or too 'ugly' to them a little they want to dip their toe into the water before their 40th birthday and have a custom Bering built.
If you see it from viewing (show effect) only without much experience you might be right. But the Magellano 66 has a semi displacement hull with a very different behaviour in a more difficult sea state (short, steep, 1-2 m waves) than a pur planing hull (like S7). With app. 30.000 nm experience mainly on the North Sea with planing boats (which try to climb up every wave above a certain boat speed) I see a big difference when using Magellano 66 vs S7.
No, totally wrong. A Nordhavn cannot go on plane and achieve 24 knot speeds. This boat gives you both a slow, economical cruise and the ability to move faster when you want to.

I like the sound of that 😅
Great video, small observation if I may, the colour of the text for the info as white text against a white boat is near impossible to see and read.
We've passed this on to the editors, thanks! 👊
where was the crew quarters? Great review.
love it karl. great showing sir. keep the great work sir.
Love it. Nice review and tour! I think I like the open helm.
Thanks for watching 😀
Excelente inform... thanks
As a yacht owner, pls show us in detail and longer than just a second the closet and storage space!
Like the close kitchen.
This was my first car (a hand-me-down after my dad bought a new vehicle) and I LOVED IT.
Nice boat and presentation.
Where was the TV's? And what about price?

Whats the height from waterline to top of the mast?
Thanks for the video.

@@Yachtbuyer I really appreciate your kind response and explanation. Fully understandable. Thank you 👍
every comment gets a pair of booties like the ones at 3:22.
Nice review!

No helm door.... that's a fail. :(
