I hope your eye gets better soon! I absolutely love your videos. My dad passed away recently and I was affected by the August 4th explosion (I'm in Beirut, Lebanon). I have not managed to find a single therapist who understands me well or uses up-to-date studies to help me. Your videos are the only place where I have felt understood. Thank you for all the work you do. ❤

This is amazing, I'm going into my final semester for my master's in counseling, and I've used wisdom and reflections from your TikTok videos for inspiration in session with clients. Thank you for sharing your light with us!

Just start sharing your story with others. It’s so helpful and that’s what I do on my channel. I consider myself a student of life who is constantly learning and sharing. I find it quiet healing to others.

I love listening to your videos. This really helped me to exactly figure out what I like most about psychology and it just so happens to be exactly what you’re doing. I’ve been contemplating on going to school for this for a few years but didn’t know exactly how to figure out what I’m interested in the most and this really helped me. I think my child hood and the things I’ve endured in this life has made me very interested in the brain and why people do what they do. Thanks so much for your videos!!

I really really REALLY needed this video!! I just started this UA-cam channel to reach out and help others while bettering myself in the process. This is also really helpful considering I'm still trying to figure out my education and where I want to be in the future. Thank you for this!!

Thank you so much for this. This career is something i always considered growing up and at 24, i've done nothing with my life. Work fast food. But i'm ready to change that. And looking into things that matter to me. This being one. So thanks for helping even if i don't go down this path in the end.

You are so good at conveying your point in a digestible and interesting way! I’m on the track to becoming a therapist as well and I don’t know whether to enter a masters of social work or PsyD program:( this did help me a lot start to consider the pay difference as well! Thank you for making such amazing content and sharing it with the world❤️

It’s amazing to see this stuff on social media ❤️ I am a psychiatric nurse myself as a profession, but I do cosplay/gaming/singing on social media to cheer people up and make them smile when I’m just me as a private person. I do truly appreciate people who manage to do this both as work an on media 🙏🏻

I loved this I've been interested in phycology for a while now. Im only in Highschool and next year I'm going to start phycology. I going to child psych next year or the year after that. These videos also have helped me realize I really am interested in it. I always feared that I would start the class and then not like it.
I've always seen the long way of getting the degree and it's definitely made me doubt getting the degree. So thank you for showing a shorter and way that makes it easier.

I’ve been wanting to be a psychotherapist ever since Jr. High. I just instantly fell in love psychology and more than anything I just want to help others. And I’m going to college soon and I’m excited to start learning and trying to become one! You’re a big inspiration and I love the content!

I just want to say thank you, you said everything when you mentioned that your degree just gives you a bit of knowledge and what brought you great knowledge in your area was the different training. That’s exactly my path, unfortunately, I came to another country with the hope that I would learn so much in college but the system is just not good enough to teach the student to be professional, I feel like where I’m living they just give the material and they are not worried about how the students are getting this content or either if they are learning. Maybe one day that will change when our generation starts to do differently as academic lecturers, anyway, best of luck to you. 🍀

I did go and like your facebook page, but I'd love to talk to you about your personal theory of choice and things. I feel we have a lot of the same views. You talked about Gottman (LOVE!), Carl Rogers, Motivational Interviewing and TF-CBT (which I'm thinking where I want to focus because I'm going to be working with kids). Since Covid though, all my classes have been ITV and it's SO much different than what it is before. What do you also feel about Gary Chapman and the five love languages too? Even though it's not a tested theory, I feel that it is a VERY good tool to have in your toolbelt when dealing with pretty much anyone since they now have different versions.

But I am so excited to start this and watching your videos gives me more motivation to want to reach others.

Thanks for making this video! I don't fall into either of these categories, but it was still interesting to learn what education is required for a psychotherapist (helps build trust!) and how that can apply to a social media context. I would love to learn more about motivational interviewing. Are there book(s) or resource(s) you could recommend to a layperson wanting to learn more about that topic?

I totally agree. A person can be uplifting and healing to people around them in common situations. If a lot of folks, like me, came here to your channel because of your TikTok videos, then most of us know who ScottdHenry is. Who jt_laybourne is. Eddudez. They are also my therapy. :D Thank you for all you do, please keep it up.

I understand being certified. What I don't fully agree with is how many year's, debt & time it takes to simply get a piece of paper after completing it with no reimbursement. Then after you find a job with an ok paying job. Now that's pathetic.
