    What about the old applications made back in 2021?

    Let me help you all out:
    Australia, when it comes to immigration, moves the goal-post way too often and usually without warning. So, if you're sincerely thinking of investing your hard-earned wealth in this country, DO NOT DO IT... at the very least, wait until you're a citizen.

      Hi Amrit,
      Thanks for your comment.
      I can see how the many ongoing migration policy changes are very frustraring and disruptive.
      All the best.

      Hi,
      Thanks for your question.
      The Government has not provided any committement to what it will do with the backlog of 188 visas. I believe that you and other applicants deserve to have them processed and decided according to the regulations.
      However, the 476 Visa was recently capped and then will be ceased, which is where they stop processing and give the visa application fees back to those not processed. Such a move does not in any way cover all the time and expense and professional fees associated with an application.

    SC 476 Applicants who received S56 request for medical in December 2023, they were given 28 days to submit medical. However DOHA capped it even before 28 days. Maybe DOHA wasn’t even aware of this decision while sending S56 requests.
    These applicants must be processed as DOHA sent S56 requests at wrong time instead of granting them.

    Hi Chris, hope you had a good Christmas break and a splendid start to the year. I applied for my 491 visa back in June 23. Any indication of when I can expect a grant? Occ. Finance Broker. Furthermore will 491 and 190 get affected like the 476 visa? Thanks in advance.

    • @WorkVisaLawyers
      @WorkVisaLawyers  8 місяців тому

      Hi,
      The quoted processing time for the 491 from DHA is 50% by 9 months and 90% by 12 months. So would expect a decision between 6 to 9 months.
      The 476 Cap and Cease is a very unfair process and I do not expect it to be applied to the 491. But a similar Cap and Cease could be applied to other visas with long backlogs like the 188 visa. Would be very unfair due the the high cost to prepare and lodge a 188 in terms of required evidence such as business financial or investment records over many years.

    Hi, Do I still have a chance for an invite for the 190, NSW at 75 points as an Enrolled Nurse? Submitted my EOI on 1st December 2023. Offshore UK 🇬🇧 Still no reply yet 😶

    • @WorkVisaLawyers
      @WorkVisaLawyers  8 місяців тому

      Hi,
      It can be frustrating haveing paid for skills assessment to get no reactions. Difficult to know if NSW will invite you, but is one of the most desired locations so hardest to get, so lowest changes. To increase your chances of an invite, you can look at nominations from other states.
      The best way for us to advise you on this would be an initial consultation. Please book an appointment here: www.workvisalawyers.com.au/arrange-an-appointment.html
