Amazing Sahaana beautifully rendered in Nadaswaram. Reminds me of karaikudichi , sheikh chinna moulana and thiruvizha jaishankar. Excellent efforts by the organisers.

I happened to listen to Mylai Karthikeyan's Kutchery (rendition in a temple) today. It was such a wonderful experience listening to him live. He is truly blessed!

Pristine! One of the most under-rated instruments, not any more. Reminded me of the days when I used to visit temples just to listen to the nadaswara vidwans play. And Sahana, a personal favorite is the cherry on the cake! As a percussionist myself, I'd love to listen to your team capture the unobtrusive beauty of more instruments, in this series of top quality productions. Cheers!

I meant underrated from a purely factual perspective - I think you would agree with me when I say that the nagaswaram has attained its due respect in the last decade or so predominantly, with organizers more welcoming to showcase the phenomenal artists under the limelight, instead of just having them weave their magic in temples and public events. Let's all enjoy the bliss together!

Very well played thanks to the musician. I read most comments like "under rated instruments" I recall ilayaraja says in his concert that nadhaswaram is "sivan sothu" it cannot be destroyed.

Sahana--particularly when played in the nadaswarsm--is distinctly pathos-filled as opposed to other instruments such as,say, the violin. Ilayaraja cleverly uses this in the background when Kamal Hassan leaves his house for good in the movie Unnal Mudiyum Thambi.
