I agree. I feel like the Sidney and Charlotte romance didn’t have enough time because it just all of a sudden came about. I didn’t hate Sidney. I liked him. I just think their relationship was to show this was a first love and a tragic one in order to make Charlotte grow.
I'm praying that S3 will have some sort of Persuasion letter moment, where Colbourne acknowledges how "unjust, weak and resentful he has been, but never inconstant." I feel like that's the only way Charlotte will ever trust him.
