- ARE YOU BULL-SHARKING ME?! - A fishing crew's hopes for over $3 million in prize money were dashed at the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament in North Carolina as their 619-pound marlin catch was disqualified, citing shark mutilation.
What, that’s unfair! How is anyone supposed to know before hand?
That is just not right. It takes them hours and hours to reel them in. Of course sharks are going to take advantage of a fish in distress. They should give the prize to the person who catches the biggest fish. Period.
It could have been recently killed by a shark and brought on board.
The disqualification comes because the fish was likely attacked and bitten while on the line, thus decreasing it's fight strength and making it much easier to reel in.
Sad night for sure, but the judges are right 🫣
@@mbergamin16 The rule makes sense. But I think they need to make an * set of records for unfortunate things like this.
@@braddl9442 Agreed completely, this is still an astonishing catch
The Shark should get the prize money
Knock knock, who's there? Land shark!😂
That is disgusting
I Mean I get the rule, But cant they just asterix next to the record? I mean that would be fair right and maybe only give half the pot?
Why would that disqualify?
It having a shark bite on it means that it was not intact and could have been weaker then it should have been otherwise. IE they might not have caught it at full strength. The rule makes sense. But I think marking the record with an * should be more then enough with a note on why.
@@braddl9442 Gotcha. thx.
@@braddl9442 They reeled in the fish fair and square. They're just making up a new rule because someone else was earmarked to win.
@@badassmother1426 Not a new rule
