You're gonna love the nature. As someone who lives near woodlands-esque areas (and relatively close to a state forest), it can be really relaxing to just be out there and take it all in.
Always love your rambles! They are always so relaxing and also extremely interesting to me! You always have great topics in mind for them! Definitely makes them even more entertaining! Thanks man!
It’s incredible how built up LI is compared to even the 90s when i lived there. My grandparents lived in Port Jeff since the 60s and it was a quiet area, now it’s all high rise apartments and crowded with tourists.
Yeah the big explosion of growth started in the early 2000's. Even further out in Suffolk they are building a ton of apartment complexes. Nassau is pretty much like queens now
Similar to your story i'm from cleveland Which is a city where public transportation and stores were in walking distance. And when I married my husband 8 years ago, we moved to Atlanta, Georgia and found out that there were things called food deserts and my children don't know the first thing about walking to a corner store to get snacks. So good thing for Uber Eats And DoorDash. LO. L. Thanks again for answering my question. And you said my name perfectly. It's Arabic. It means friend of God.
Lol yeah the younger generation isn't used to the walking places for things! Thankfully there are the food delivery services to make things easier. You're welcome! Oh cool! I'm glad I said it right!
I don't know if you have mentioned it in other videos. But I'm sorry to hear about your mother-in-law.I fell asleep halfway through the video, so I'm on part 2 today LO.L. And we went to Philly last month and there was a corner store. Where our airbnb was and my children went to the store more than once a day and loved it. And don't understand why in the country stores aren't as accessible.
@khalilahlewis2950 thank you. Lol hopefully you can get through the rest of the vid without falling asleep! Nice! It's always great having places close to walk to. The smaller towns just aren't built up enough for it
Hey Rich! Loved this video, I may not comment on every video but I want you to know that I watch every single video you post, to this day like I have the past couple years. Just curious you may have said it but I could have fallen asleep to it but what made you move out to NC?

6:19 I remember my experiences driving in NYC (Manhattan mostly). After a while I just said "Nope, train and subway only from now on."
Yeah that's the smarter play lol! My fiancée would drive into the city and I would be on edge the whole time
Thanks for the ramble!! Do you play Texas Hold 'em tournaments?
You're welcome! I used to play in like 20 person tournaments back in the day but haven't played in one in years

Glad you enjoyed it! Moving down there for a bunch of reasons. Change, more affordable, closer to my fiancees family
@@slipintoshadowsasmr479 are you going to like the non bigger city part of NC?
@tyson8786 smaller area asheboro
Good luck on the move!
Thank you!
Brooo when do you officially head to NC??
June 1 or possible a day or two before that
Idk what part of North Carolina you're going to but if you ever find yourself in Charlotte and want some good BBQ, Mac's Speed Shop... Thank me later
We will be a little over an hour from Charlotte! Whenever we head that way we will have to check it put! Thanks for letting me know about it
Can’t believe your leaving Long Island to go so far away
It's not too far away! Only 9-11 hours
Get a motorcycle
I'd actually probably be able to handle a motorcycle better than a car
