Great memories of this song from my senior year of high school :) Played Trombone 1 and ended up learning the notes from my trumpet friend and slowly but surely, I learned to play it up to speed. My band director was so impressed that I could play it on trombone that he insisted I played the melody during our final concert. It was sick.
Just played this is in our high school jazz band last year. Super fun for the screaming trumpet, and fun for the whole band. Very advanced level and up beat song. Very fun!
This song is awesome! We are playing this song in my jazz band, i play the trombone and i love this song. Its amazing, we even play it this fast and it actually pretty easy to, even trumpets like the tempo and ask to push it a little faster even. Overall a great song:)
This song helped my jazz band win contest and rank #1. We even beat the college that we were visiting. That was an amazing freshman year. Go Esko Jazz One!
hubberducky thanks, you made me come back to a great song I forgot existed. Anyway, I wasn't alive when seven came out, my nostalgia is firmly in halo.
@@LightYagami-pk8bp I hope i make you remember this song once again, my favorite one is 4 because it was the first I've played, but I've only played 3-6, i am playing 7 now
at like 2:32, thats my favorite thing ever written in the history of music that i have heard. such a cool part. this song is almost as fun to listen to as it is to play.
This is scream machine, I believed it was performed by the navy blue band or something (I'm probably wrong). But is definitely scream machine. It's up either a 3rd or 4th I don't remember. I performed brass machine last year in jazz ensemble. You should also check where you get your sheet music, it could have been misinterpreted by the writer as a Maynard Ferguson song. This song was never performed by Maynard Ferguson, I did some research on it plus it doesn't even have Maynard's tone. Maybe Wayne Bergeron played it, but not the version recorded on this video...
***** I don't care what you want to think, I am not looking for an argument. I was just putting it out there for the betterment of the viewers' knowledge! I would hate for people to go on misinformed. No hard feelings my friend.
@baileyboy119 So you're telling me that Scream Machine and Brass Machine sound the same? If they sound the same, then technically, they are the same song. Just because one song is lower than another, WITH THE SAME NOTES AND RHYTHMS, it doesn't mean they are different.
This is Scream Machine, not Brass Machine. Other comments have explained it better than I can so if you want a better explanation look at the other comments :)
It is played in an obscene key. The name is wrong. Brass machine is the easy version, this is Scream Machine, which is the original, and eally, really, really high
It is Brass Machine. Nobody try to tell me it isn't, because I play this song. I have the solo. So everyone who says it "scream machine" get outta here.
someone plz tell me who this is. i see people saying its DEFINITELY maynard, and some saying its definitely NOT maynard. too be honest some of it sounds too nice to be maynard
This is Scream Machine in the concert key of F. If you're in Middle School, you're more likely playing Brass Machine, which is this same tune but in the concert key of Bb. ua-cam.com/video/ljSHzmZM3lY/v-deo.html
Then don't argue to me about the actual name of the song, when you clearly don't know the proper name of it. It's a trumpet feature, just like what it says on the music. And thank you for proving my point.
@tiredman628 So you're telling me that Scream Machine and Brass Machine sound the same? If they sound the same, then technically, they are the same song. Just because one song is lower than another, WITH THE SAME NOTES AND RHYTHMS, it doesn't mean they are different.
No its not, this is scream machine, not brass machine. Scream machine is the original and it is a lot higher than brass machine which is the pathetic easy version.
I hate this song... the title is terrible... unless you think trumpets are the only brass instrument.... which by the way, they aren't. The composer probably hates trombones...
+Eric Zeiberg Eh, that does bring a good point.... The song is okay, but Back Row Politics, another trumpet section feature is much better personally. But this song is is actually good besides the title. Thank you for calling me out for hating something for a bad reason.
I've played it before, too. It bothers me that it says "Brass Machine" and right after that it says "Trumpet Section Feature" as if a brass machine is nothing other than a trumpet. It really should just be a brass section feature.
70's cop tv show intro. With lots of mustaches. Picture it folks. Fast cars. Guns. Zoom in on a Burt Reynolds style mustache. Legendary!
Great memories of this song from my senior year of high school :)

I can’t unhear the fact that this sounds like it should be on a mario kart race track 😭😭🤚
OMG YES THE NEW RAINBOW ROAD

We failed so hard at this chart in high school 😂😂. God we wanted to play it SO bad.
Man that drum intro, that's just exciting as all hell.
Percussionist?
Played this my freshman year of high school in marching band. Love this song.
Nobody asked
@@dinkhunter9982-wow, you are rude af!
Marching band???? It’s Jazz!!! Sacraligeous
Bull no way doing this in marching band tf r the flutes and Claranets playing

Great song playing it in our community jazz band.
Playing this in middle school jazz band, very fun
This song helped my jazz band win contest and rank #1. We even beat the college that we were visiting. That was an amazing freshman year. Go Esko Jazz One!
When I first heard this song , I thought it was from final fantasy.
Good game, final fantasy.👾
Which one is your favourite? I enjoy the first two but I also play xiii.
Light Yagami I'm a basic bitch, my fav is 7.
hubberducky thanks, you made me come back to a great song I forgot existed. Anyway, I wasn't alive when seven came out, my nostalgia is firmly in halo.
Light Yagami your welcome, and I feel ya. First game I ever truly played was Pokémon Pearl, and I just put it in and played it again. Hoo boy!
@@LightYagami-pk8bp I hope i make you remember this song once again, my favorite one is 4 because it was the first I've played, but I've only played 3-6, i am playing 7 now
I'm a freshman, and my friend (who's also a freshman) has first part on this song, including the solo. And he's nailing it
at like 2:32, thats my favorite thing ever written in the history of music that i have heard. such a cool part. this song is almost as fun to listen to as it is to play.
This is so awsome and so good I loved it!!
ouf. those trumpets man. dang thats high.
This is scream machine
If I'm to understand correctly, scream machine is higher up, like a 4th or something.
This is scream machine, I believed it was performed by the navy blue band or something (I'm probably wrong). But is definitely scream machine. It's up either a 3rd or 4th I don't remember. dude. really... I'm pretty sure this is brass machine

It's the same song.
Rythmically, yes for the most part. Harmonically, no not the same. + plus - equals -... same rules apply here.
Devon Harris What do you mean + plus - equals -?
The Jazz Band I'm in might be playing this song.
It always happens like that doesn't it? Takes a lot of skill to play in jazz. Or any instrument for that matter! :)
I love this song so much! I played it I'm grade 9 and it was so fun!!!
Same
3rd trombone for the win
Where da sheet music?
We are playing this in our corps right now! i'm playing at the drums!
@baileyboy119 So you're telling me that Scream Machine and Brass Machine sound the same? If they sound the same, then technically, they are the same song. Just because one song is lower than another, WITH THE SAME NOTES AND RHYTHMS, it doesn't mean they are different.
Kavemane well, one screams, and one screams slightly less
Brass Machine for sure!
This is not by Maynard, it's by the Army Blues. Focus guys, focus.
Im a member in blue devils and we won this song
This recording is played in f major right? Anyone with perfect pitch pls let me know
Lucy M0ON yes it’s in F
Concert F
Is this still your favorite song @awesong ?
@onlytrumpet this is definitely maynard ferguson...i've played this and on the sheet music his name is there...its the ONLY name there under composer.
I remember this... My band director always rammed us because we couldn't get the solo right...
かっこいい…
@385Productions Its actually not bad on the trombone, i play it and the trombone parts arent hard at all. Its quite fun and amazing to play
Never thought I'd see that name on a video like this.
Can you please give this the correct title: SCREAM MACHINE. This isn't Brass Machine
I love this song, but I prefer the Future Corps play !!!
it sounds higher than it actually is. the orginal only goes up to a c above the staff
This is Scream Machine, not Brass Machine. Other comments have explained it better than I can so if you want a better explanation look at the other comments :)
@sireofzelda im not sure, it was an older piece my jazz band director had
nach diesem Song wurde unsere Band benannt
the songs called SCREAM MACHINE
@herocko it's cool. They may be the same song idk. But imma call it brass machine nomatter what people say
@awesong Is this sped up, or played in some obscene key?
It is played in an obscene key. The name is wrong. Brass machine is the easy version, this is Scream Machine, which is the original, and eally, really, really high
1st Trumpet all the way! I got all the solo's as well.
@runnerboy140 Where did y'all get the sheet music for it?
Please tell me the name of the performer.
It’s army blues
I'm playing this in my middle school jazz band
Me too!

You misunderstood the statement. I was stating that you didn't know the proper name of the song, not asking you it.
Then don't argue to me about the actual name of the song, when you clearly don't know the proper name of it. It's a trumpet feature, just like what it says on the music. And thank you for proving my point.
to all you 9th graders out there who played this in high school
1. you got carried by your seniors
2. you didn't play it well
:D
well shame on me for having fun
What about the 8th graders playing this song?
or its a different arrangement
I played this in grade 9 actually haha, it was down a fifth, we did it slower, and thought we were the SHIT. Looking back we were just cringe
3 trumpet For The Win Yeaaaaah
You should credit this to Maynard Ferguson.
Looool, jokes
Brass machine
I would love to have a higher quality recording of this, since this is just terrifying...
I love this song im playing it in jazz band right now im in 9th grade
@tiredman628 So you're telling me that Scream Machine and Brass Machine sound the same? If they sound the same, then technically, they are the same song. Just because one song is lower than another, WITH THE SAME NOTES AND RHYTHMS, it doesn't mean they are different.
Brass machine is differently .
@tiredman628 Sorry tiredman628, I didn't mean to direct my comment to you, it was intended for baileyboy119
OKAY. It was probably written by Maynard Ferguson, but played by some other band. It really doesn't sound like him.
This sounds like something from Mario Kart 3DS.
There is an arrangement for Brass Band called Brass Machine, this is the original Maynard Ferguson version and is called Scream Machine
yea 4th trombone part
3:03 to 3:42 is my favorite part! :D
@tjpendarvis Thank you !
😈😈😈
Cool but not cool engouh
@baileyboy119 Sorry bailyboy119, I didn't mean to direct that comment at you.
actually it goes to a G above the high C
@ciphrous The recording is spead up.
No its not, this is scream machine, not brass machine. Scream machine is the original and it is a lot higher than brass machine which is the pathetic easy version.
@baileyboy119 I actually meant to direct my comment to you, sorry for the inconvenience again.
@biketastik but it isnt
This is called Scream Machine...not the original and yes it was Maynard Ferguson
Yes it is Scream machine, no it is not Maynard Ferguson, I have the original record album. This is the army blues.
Even though music like this exists, people still listen to that boring copy-of-the-last-one dubstep.
Oh, and five people are from skrillex
Hmmm. This is the exact same recording as scream machine with Maynard Ferguson.
But the drummer in my band is bad so i cant enjoy it :(
I played it in seventh grade
I hate this song... the title is terrible... unless you think trumpets are the only brass instrument.... which by the way, they aren't. The composer probably hates trombones...
+Luggage So you hate the entire song because of the title?
+Eric Zeiberg Eh, that does bring a good point.... The song is okay, but Back Row Politics, another trumpet section feature is much better personally. But this song is is actually good besides the title. Thank you for calling me out for hating something for a bad reason.
This was written as a feature for the trumpet section. I'm in a big band myself and it says so on the chart.
Ass Machine. This song sucks to play if you play any instrument other than trumpet. It's good to listen to, not fun at all to play.
I've played it before, too. It bothers me that it says "Brass Machine" and right after that it says "Trumpet Section Feature" as if a brass machine is nothing other than a trumpet. It really should just be a brass section feature.
