A few facts - Danielle was one of the writers on the song, they filed the MV in Lisbon, Portugal, the choreography was based on waacking and they deliberately included accessible moves. I haven't found confirmation but fans have said that it sounds like they used part of the powerpuff girls theme song in the music.
It's so weird seeing my hometown in the background of a kpop mv but I'm so happy! The choreography remind me of the ones the 2nd gen would do, accessible and fun instead of trying to do the craziest moves or choreos. Also, the drums of the song do have the same tempo as the Powerpuff girls theme.

Thanks so much for the reaction!! You're all so fun and honest and I love that. NewJeans has already become the standard for me in kpop, less than 1 year after their debut. The girls and their team is THAT good. I've read all the hate arguments against the group on Twitter and all of it seems very disingenuous and dishonest to me. And a big clue about the hate NewJeans is getting, is the groups of people driving that hate and discourse. That's all I'll say. I'm very happy most people are giving these girls a chance because they're working very hard and doing a phenomenal job.
