Good information! Something I have found useful is to give all your party ranged secondary weapons, since often your melee characters can’t get adjacent to enemies in a single move. An exception to the rule of taking easy kills is those mobs you find later in the came that output a constant stream of new enemies and also enemy mystics that are infused with something near your party.
Oh, I love that idea - Didn't come up with it myself but I agree with this being a very valid strategy. Usually I kept my secondary slots for other weapons with different specs (melee dagger for hunters, different melee weapon for fighters etc.) but adding ranged options always has it's charm. Cheers!
I've been in agreement until this point 12:50 when going up against a big bad, especially at the end of chapters, and the directions at the top of the screen say the minions will keep coming so you must take out the big bad, I would say this advice doesn't work. If you can take out a minion or get one hit point down on the big bad, I'd go for the big bad. Cuz taking out the minions slows down accomplishing the primary goal. He makes a point to say there are exceptions. If there's a finite amount of lower level baddies then yeah take a smaller guy off the board so he doesn't get another dig in before your next turn. However, getting into that habit has cost me on more than one occasion.
Yeah, summoners need a different strategy, I agree. I had that once too and it really tripped me over quite hard until I understood that some enemies need to be focused cause they are factories. Cheers!

Yes, anyone with a sliver of brain knows that there are ALWAYS exceptions to any rule, and IcOn even mentions this.
