Addressing your comments about Hiro and Kuma here! I know you all mean well and want what’s best for my pups. Something I didn’t mention in the video are dogs upon entering Hong Kong regardless of Covid or not; they are required to quarantine 14 days to 90 days. The minimum of 14 days are inside a cage, cannot come out to pee or poop and they’re stuck in there with other pets in their own solitary cage. My first reaction is that that is very inhuman and I know Hiro and Kuma will not come out mentally the same. They will be traumatized. So the best choice I have right now is to leave them with my best friends until I can possibly find a loophole or another option to bring them to Hong Kong. Another confusion is the length of our move in Hong Kong! We are not moving permanently and will have an expiry date there. We haven’t chosen one yet but our intention is to return to the US. We will be back often as leos parents still live here. As for now, please don’t use words like we are abandoning our dogs. This is HARD already and I’m freaking sad. I miss them and this decision is not easy at all. I cannot imagine them being stuck inside a cage for minimum of 14 days. That’s just not right. We will be back for our furbabies 🤍 thank you for respecting our decision for now.
I’m so sorry for these rude comments! You shouldn’t even have to explain yourself! You’re making the best decision for your babies. That quarantine would be horrible for them oh my god! But the sadness of missing them is what hurts 😭❤️
I can’t imagine how hard it was to make that decision but ultimately its for the best and at least you were able to find someone who was close to you guys that you trusted and knew would be there whenever you came back!

Hi Karen, if you want to take my advice, little Dovey needs to be covered when in public places too as this virus is no kidding. I got a relative whose baby is only one month old and got the virus. Plus, this Delta variant can spread in the air easily. The way i do it is to cover the stroller where the baby is facing with a large piece of cloth, blanket or unused swaddle. Stay safe and good luck with the moving! 💗
@@alishamcg i don’t think so because there should be an air circulation if we’re using a cotton cloth. Preferably a light colour one. A dark colour would absorb sun heat. And there should be enough room for the baby to breathe in between the stroller and the cover. It’s only for a while anyway. Rather than getting the virus… 😊 but when I’m outdoor and there’s nobody’s around, i would open it up.
Despite such a hard decision I’m glad that you have friends who are open to taking in your pups. So much respect for them!! It must’ve been such a sad day :-(

On the other video people from HK called her out for her entitled behaviour as she constantly gaslighted HK people experience and acts from a high horse of her privilege. And also bc of recent happenings she depicted the whole us that literally everyone there are running on the streets with gun and hunting Asians
@@Erienna872 it’s funny because I thought people were gaslighting us and our firsthand experience with gun violence on multiple occasions. We’ve repeatedly said we had to literally get on the ground because there was an active shooter near our garage at our old apartment. We were less than 50 feet away from a police sniper on the highway because a maniac barricaded himself with a gun in a motel a few months ago. Dove was in the car and my first thought was the potential of stray bullets hitting our car. As a parent, that is not a thought you ever want to have. So while, yes, it is a privilege to have the means to move when we want, it is not entitlement to choose physical safety as a priority for our growing family. I’m tired of people like you pushing your agenda without getting to know us first and our experiences. There have been over 300 mass shootings in the USA in 2021, and yes, some have outright targeted Asians. It is ignorant to ignore the ongoing violence against Asian Americans. Your profile picture doesn’t look like you’re Asian or a parent. How can you possibly relate to our fear of some maniac out there targeting Dove or Karen? The answer is you can’t. So please sit down with the “gas lighting” and “entitlement” when you can’t even relate to us on any level 🥱
@@LEOTHOM I have nor others said there is no incidents against Asian Americans there. Nor said anyone anything about your experiences in fact everyone acknowledged it. It’s you who constantly denied people experience in HK. And based on your public profile me potentially know more about you than you about me. Your opinion based on one single picture. I have friends both in US and HK, in fact a relative has mixed Asian children in US so that of your assumptions about me not correct. In fact you don’t know anything about nor my ethnicity nor where I live, nor my circumstances. And indeed you both make a general assumption, which comes through your videos, that all Americans are out there potentially want to attack you. Me too very tired of this narrative that just bc someone is white skinned can not have an opinion or in fact any kind experience at all. You can generalise the whole US, dismiss HK people who explicitly said they felt offended that Karen brush off their struggles for freedom. So you do the same which if someone would do , you got offended. It’s the same if I say all Chinese are dirty, eat anything, and pollute the environment and the world with their trash products. Both generalisation. These are not even my words but many tried to tell you all that HK not safe, you claim you are afraid so you move to a place where the police can grab you and put you into jail..as the situation is developing there..
@@Erienna872 while I respect your right to exercise your opinion, respectfully, a non-Asian shouldn’t comment on how or what an Asian family does when we tell you we don’t feel safe. You don’t get to make that choice. Having Asian friends or relatives by marriage is not the same as being Asian yourself. It is literally impossible for you to understand our fear as Asian parents living in a climate of anti-Asian hate with a newborn. Because of that, your opinion is rooted in superficial observations while our opinion is reflective of our actual lived experiences. You are an observer commenting on circumstances that don’t even affect you...we live this everyday. Our focus on safety doesn’t mean we’re blind to what’s happening in Hong Kong. If you actually think about it, it’s quite sad that we feel safer there rather than where we bought a home and where I grew up. But that is our reality and our choice. I have zero interest in telling you how to live your life, so please respect my family by not telling us how to live ours.
don’t abandon Hero… He’s been with you so long. he needs his family. when you adopted or took him in, you made a promise to him to be with him through every part of his life. and the other dog too.. you gotta bring your dogs over. you can’t just leave them. it’s not cool. he won’t understand why his family didn’t come back.
We are not abandoning Hiro. That’s really harsh of a word to use. We plan on taking them but they will be forced to go through 14 days quarantine inside a cage and cannot come out to pee or poo. It’s very inhumane and I don’t want to put Hiro through that when we aren’t moving to Hong Kong permanently and will be coming back to the US eventually. This is a really tough decision and I know you only want what’s best for the pups but as his momma, I need to really think it hard what’s best for him knowing what I might be putting him through if he comes to Hong Kong. There is no easy choice here.
@@iamkareno I think this really depends on how long you plan to stay in Hong Kong. If it’s for over a year it would be unfair to leave him behind and then after he settles in with his new family to take him again once you guys come back. I also understand the quarantine POV as well though.
@@SammyP038 please read my pinned comment as to why we made the decision to not bring them right now. After you read it, you’ll understand this is the only option we have because of how inhumane the quarantine laws are for animals entering Hong Kong are.
@@iamkareno I read it and my opinion stays the same. It’s a difficult choice either way as the pups aren’t going to be the same after being left and they won’t be the same after that quarantine. You’re stuck between a rock and a hard place (if that’s how the saying goes), which is not your fault at all. I will say is that the quarantine is completely in humane and I’m not sure how they’re not making more humane options available. I honestly feel for you guys and I’m sure that you guys will do the best for the pups. This video shown just how much you love and cherish them 💕

This video shown just how much you love and cherish them 💕
Dude his name is Hiro not Hero wtf 🙄
