Speaking Nagamese in Jakhama Village | Nagaland | Bodo Travel Vlog | Amar Brahma

After a tiresome long hiking to and pro from Dzuku Valley, I felt such relax and mesmerising to stay in a spectacular village called Jakhama which is just 15 km away from Kohima. We had spent such a wonderful time amidst the beautiful village surrounded by mountains and covered with golden crops all over the valley and the best part is the lovely people with whom we have interacted and spent the whole day in the valley during their harvest season.
The homestay (Athou Homestay) where we stayed is one of the best place to stay where you want to experience the homely feel away from home and also to taste they real authentic cuisines of Naga. The host was such friendly and informative that he help us out with all the necessary needs that we need to carry while trekking to Dzuku valley. The price of the homestay is very reasonable and worth every penny to experience the real taste and homely feel of Nagaland.

October was the month when we travelled and it is best month as it is a harvest season. The homestay cost us just 2000 INR and food is extra according to your requirements.
