I got trained today using the 8400 walker and I was hella nervous but I got over it and thought in my head I got this relax. And man I did pretty good just made 2 mistakes I keep forgetting you gotta use the tractor forwards ALWAYS and the other when i hop off the walker and trying to fix the pallet inside racks i forget youre not suppose to backup with it cause you might hurt you foot but in all I did good and didn't have to train that much cause I practiced alot and got it down pretty fast and man just feeling blessed you know ?
Edit: im 23 from Southern California and I reached my goal and now getting experience and go to union 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽💯

With the walky one you can sit on top of the box part and face away from the forks and put the handle part between your legs and drive it like a scooter.... or so I’ve been told lol

Got told off at work for standing on the forks and leaning over and steering it, but would probably get a mega bollocking (or sent home) if I tried that lol. I did try it with the low speed lithium ion ones that are low to the ground when I was just in the freezer unit by myself, but got off and walked as soon as I left the freezer in case of forklift traffic and the boss....

this thing is INCREDIBLY dangerous. these things go very fast, have no power steering, and there is nothing to hang on to. it's really easy to lose control and get flung off the machine.

I only use it when I need to move it out of my way. all though ours just got serviced and I think they retarded it or something because it goes much slower now which is no fun but at least it's a little easier to control now.

I can drive any kind forklift or reach truck, I have used all different types of controls for all of them. but these little pallet jacks are my kryptonite. Was stacking cheese when one went whizzing by carrying trays of cheese. I stuck my butt out when I was stacking the side nearest the aisle and was sent flying. Glad it a low speed Mitsubishi and not that high speed ride on Linde truck.
I find the Linde "walkies" a bit twitchy but they are good for crossing the factory quickly. The Misubishi trucks have 2 speeds so easier to get the forks in.
