+Genat Haile New York values.
Lol
cuz you human
I was born and raised in LA and the only time I've been hiking was when I went camping when I was 9 and it was horrible. Ima stick to sitting on the curb and eating hot Cheetos with my friends.
Same
I just moved away from New York to Florida. Against my will. *Pathetically reaches for New York and whimpers*
I feel your pain...
+Michelle Evans i know that feel...
Florida is so great thoooo
+Michelle Evans did the same a few years ago. Can't beat the weather but no culture and lousy food
+Animal Jam not all of Florida is Sunshine state you have places like where I was raised it is humid and let's just say not safe
Why am I watching this, I live in Europe...and it's 03:56 am
+Caffeine we have it 05.12
Same! Omg I'm so glad its not just me😂😂😂 It's 4:19am now
+Hannah Sadikovic 11:30 pm 😂😂
Go to sleep!
+J Unicorn this is spiralling out of control
I hate it when I say I love in New York, and everyone automatic my assumes I live in NYC. I seriously live closer to Canada than NYC.
hallelujah! I'm not the only one 😆
LOLL that's hilarious bc I am from NYC and I went to Niagara Falls once a few years ago and they ask my family and me where we are from and we say NY. and they seemed unimpressed and they're like oh ny is just across the bridge haha. it's just funny bc saying you're from ny usually causes a reaction and this time it didn't. (we eventually said we were from nyc lmao)
Lolo Lin I grew up in Brooklyn before I moved to upstate NY and now I'm half an hour away from Vermont
that happens to me, I work out of town, meeting new people all the time. I live in Buffalo, I think people would laugh because of our winter weather @ 4 superbowl loses.
I live on Long Island but I wish I lived upstate
I just realized that buzzfeed just tried to introduce a whole new lineup of people....... y'all not slick
+naji jorden lmafaooooo
seriously.. we know what's going on here
😂😂😂
you just noticed...
I think I've seen the girl in purple plaid before
When you live in a small Canadian town in the middle of nowhere and the point of the video just flies right over your head

zakeriya abdi But where do you prefer?
+Graphic Design Guy hello
+Graphic Design Guy hello
This video was somewhat accurate. I've lived in NYC my whole life after moving here when I was three and honestly it is very stressful. All is literally, work, work, work to pay your ridiculously high rent for not much space and a very fast paced life. What I love, though, is that everything is either walking distance or it is ridiculously convenient. Everything in NYC is made and thought to be for one's convenience. You can't beat that! This is why I would never move. Transportation although annoying after years or dealing with it, is so convenient and easy to understand. The subway system is so well calculated and designed to get you ANYWHERE in the city + the bars & restaurants, shopping, parks and museums are just a blessing! NYC is awesome! Stress + bipolar weather? Not so much
Do people actually like hiking or do they just say they like hiking bc it's an "LA thing"
+SharmiS
here in LA theres a lot of hiking places that have really nice views, so we do actually like it
+Nhung Tran you've never climbed the Appalachian trails :p
+Nhung Tran personally from what I've seen of LA hikes on videos with the large sandlike paths, I wouldn't call that hiking. Try hiking in NH where your going up an actual mountain with thick green forests and huge boulders.
+Horse Lurver exactly. we are not saying that we are doing like mountain hiking, but just walking a nice distance around nature. like the malibu creek trail or just around the Griffith Park
+SharmiS Everyone should just live in San Diego. You know how you watch the weather and get a forecast for the week and see 7 days lined up? In San Diego, DAILY, you see 4 temperatures: beach, inland, mountain and desert temps lined up. I don't think there's a better place to live. Expensive? Relative to where you live, but yes, it's still Southern California. I'm still kicking myself for having moved away. And, yes, real hiking, if that's what you want to do. To snow caps.
Lol I'm from LA and I LOVE hiking. And the bottle of green juice look like what my grandma has every morning. Taste pretty good. I will say public transportation isn't very good. Most people here have cars.
New York ain't just the city...
YAY SOMEONE WHO GETS IT!! 😄😄😄
Hi
it's a state of mind right ?
lol let's be honest no one really cares about the upstate part of New York
Lmao you right
in a New Yorker that would love to move to L.A 🙌
I'm*
At least LA people don't have to struggle in a snowstorm.
You wouldn't understand
and we're eternally grateful
At least we don't have to worry about water
We don't have earth quakes.
Snow storms come and go quickly and they only come in particular time of the year.
It's nothing compared to years of drought..................mmmm... maybe not. I'm not looking forward to this blizzard.
talk about it. this snow storm is killing us rn
I was born and raised in NY. I lived there all my life until three years ago when my parents decided to move to LA for no reason (nothing to do with job or anything) we just moved and LA is really cool but I miss NY and all my friends and I can relate to this
lol I love it when la people say they're going hiking. I'm from Colorado and I'm like that's just not hiking but do you.
Lauren Rauh Wow you're dense. Again, the whole point of my post was that there are actual mountains within the city limits of Los Angeles. The entire city is nearly as hilly as San Francisco, but, most people are unaware of that fact as the city is so spread out. Its like you refuse to learn anything, even when presented with facts - which makes you willfully ignorant. Mt. Lukens is the highest point within city limits at 5,075 ft., and that is just the highest. Again, a simple google search would have saved you the embarrassment.
*"Also I never said denver I said colorado so lets take it down a notch."* Remember, you started all this by saying that people from LA don't go hiking, when if fact not only do we go hiking, we do it within our city limits, unlike Denver (the most comparable city to Los Angeles in the state of Colorado) whose residents have to travel to hike.
I don't know what you consider large, in terms of cities, but for example the city of Boulder has a population of about 103,000 people. There are - in fact - 70 cities in California with larger populations than Boulder. Some of which are "practically in the mountains"
So again, you need to get your facts straight: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_largest_California_cities_by_population#/media/File:LA_Skyline_Mountains2.jpg
Oh my god I'm crying laughing at the amount of effort you are putting into arguing with me. Like its a bit ridiculous. Also if you wanna get all factual the highest point in southern california is San Gorgonio Mountain. "San Gorgonio Mountain, also known locally as Mount San Gorgonio, or Old Greyback, is the highest peak in Southern California and the Transverse Ranges at 11,503 feet" I'm even being nice saying southern california which I dont know exactly where that is but I don't think its in La. the highest point in Colorados highest point is 14,433. Also the LA area is larger and you could travel longer then to just leave Denver or its suburbs to the mountains. But whatever, my whole original point was Colorado has better, more beautiful, hiking then any where else in America and espically California. Just my opinion.
Lauren Rauh ayyy👐 I live in colorado too. Here in Denver. Shout to you Lauren and yeah I agree with you statement about Colorado.
Lauren Rauh you don't think southern California is in LA? How woefully ignorant are you? Ppl in LA drive 5 mins and hike in Griffith Park or they can hike in Big Bear. The crappy weather right now prevents ppl from really enjoying their hikes in Colorado, whereas it's 65 degrees in LA.
Lauren Rauh I Also live in Colorado!
I GET THIS SO MUCH except i moved to florida instead of cali
SAME
I moved from Florida to los angles! It’s so much worse than Florida
I moved from Brooklyn to Fort Lauderdale and then Hollywood. I moved right back to NYC. But I miss FL. 😕
I feel bad that you guys had to move from NY...now I’m here alone........:(
New York City ❤️ not perfect but once you live here you'll never want to leave
James what did you decide?
NY sucks. It's too cold. I wanna move to LA
I know, I live here.
No, the winter is just cold, the others seasons are warm so stfu
Natalie_ Gamer it's pretty damn cold for 3-4 months. No one wants to do anything but stay in their apartments and you can't go hiking or to the beach. There are about 3-4 months where the weather is warm enough to want to be doing stuff outdoors, maybe 1-2 months where the ocean water is warm enough to swim in and the beaches are open. August and September can also get hot and humid af, better than winter, but again people aren't eager to be outdoors for too long due to the heat.
Suk MaDiq traitor
Only good for the buildings get ideas
Yeah, LA is sooo terrible. With our quick drives to either the beaches, mountains, or Disneyland. Don't forget our horrible line-up of vintage and historical food places like Pink's and Randy's Donuts. Oh dang, I forgot about the amazing hikes with killer views, amazing taco trucks, and In n Out. Yeah, it's super bad here, please stay away.
6FeetAbove "nobody cares about Disneland and beaches" LOL okay I'm sure hikes aren't limited to just people in LA. Also, if you want to believe that NYs mexican food is better than Cali's, which is right by Arizona and Mexico, you're living in a dream.
TheJellyWarrior Nobody cares about hikes outside of LA. And I didn't say NY has better mexican food- we just have better food overall.
Lmao New York isn't just NYC
Exactly! It's more than just a big city!
L.A isn't just L.A there's other cities
LA is also Louisiana(ik it's a state but yeah)
melisa d TRUE I'm in lower New York like rockland
+Ulit 8 Exactly like Burbank, Glendale theres a lot lol
Still waiting for her NY accent!
+Kary Bueno most new yorkers don't have that stereotypical nyc accent.
+SharmiS exactly I live in nyc and I don't have one lol
+Danielle Scheubel same. I live on Long Island
The accent depends on ethnicity, area you're from and age group. I guarantee an Italian guy in his 40s from Howard Beach will have one.
I'm from NYC and I have the accent.. But I noticed a lot of people try to lose it cause they think others will feel like they sound stupid
Being born and raised in NYC, I relate to this so much.
Where's the Chicago video
as a Chicago girl living in LA I agree
Represent!
+Bria Delaney (briiiyonceee) We just dodge bullets all day
Represent!
someone from naperville ate it. it got mistook for a cassero-- i mean, chicago pizza.
Ugh I need to get outta nyc and move to LA
Monica Lum traitor
To step in human feces all day. No thanks
@@tarapeterman4340 W
Hahaha
Jess's eyes are so bright and pretty at 1:50. Fantastic lighting. So beautiful.
The transportation one applies in ATL too. It literally takes an hour to go somewhere thats 3 miles away. If you dont live right next to a train station, you have to take 2 buses and a train to go anywhere
New York is the best state tbh
+Adam Acevedo i think they're talking about nyc tho and not the whole state because honestly the rest of it is pretty plain
+Surprised Patrick the rest is only good for ski resorts and hiking
Surprised Patrick NYC is the best also. (I live there)
Diauts true.
+Surprised Patrick There *was* Woodstock, but that was '69.
So, basically LA sucks in comparison to NY? But we all knew that already.
+cristian elizondo thats manhattan. That's the only place people know about nyc. There's other places. There are 4 other boroughs
+Chantel F Thank you. Everyone forgets about Staten Island 😂
+cristian elizondo there's plenty space. People in NY just don't like "yards" and having big open space. We would move somewhere else if we disc
lol u forgot about long island.. plenty of space here... plus upstate as well.
cristian elizondo its not just about space. NY is a more modern urban area. NY is busy place and holds lots of oppunorties for people to work and live life. It's gonna be crowded. It's a city compared to a more surburban rural place. It depends on what suits you or how you just have life. Everything closer to the city will be crowded. Where I live queens, it's not that crowded. It's pretty decent. People just want to be closest to manhattan because that's where people work shop and other things.
0:25 Stop, this is already accurate! I prefer to meet friends for breakfast around 7 am so I could go to work right after and then run errands :)
Same. Bro I'm from NYC and I really wanna live in LA
ive always wanted to live in NY......i live in TX.....
Hannahforever 18 why would u do that???
Hannahforever 18 where in texas did u live? if u dont mind me asking.
Ang actually i live in South Houston. and its nothing special unlike NYC that place looks beautiful.
Lydia Royal I've always wanted to live in Oregon, I live in Ohio
Lydia Royal ayeer
Why is this in my reccomended? This was made 4 years ago on 2016??
I'm from New York, and i moved a few years ago, and every time we get a new place for pizza, we always have to ask them to make it crispy on the bottom.
True tho like N.Y's always in a,traffic jam for no reason like
So is LA. and their smog is ridiculous.
+Anisha Renee Traffic is not as bad.
+George Delgadillo in some parts
Lol no one smart from ny would drive anyways so it's not a problem
+Anisha Renee la and ny have the most smog out the whole USA. Probably America
New Yorkers Unite!
I'm from New York. Spot on. I no longer live there and the pizza and bagel thing and public transport problems are my life.
Not being stressed is a good thing at times.
don't know why this girl was saying that there was ONLY a birthday party to go in LA. LA has plenty of night entertainment: concerts, clubs, bars, restaurants, and the beach; let's not forget all the universities there that have frat and sorority parties and football games (if you are young). this video was not acurate at all.
if LA was this boring the famous wouldn't live there.
Rosie Her LOL LA is the place for nightlife!!! So many concerts, raves, and clubs over here. Plus Vegas is only 3 hours away, 30 minutes by plane.
Why does the girl on the phone sound like KAT Von D ?
1:12 my brain can't comprehend the call duration numbers flicking right now
I live in Texas but I visit family in LA occasionally and I wish I could live there so badly. I just love LA so much.
Yeah... I should live in New York
Yall need to do a video about what it feels like for city people to move to the country.
When I was little I thought that NY/NYC was the same as L.A
Did anyone else notice that at 1:12 the phone's time thing that says how long you were on the phone, keeps switching from 133 to 134
I like that they can hear eachother without speaker at 1:11
This is giving me Seattle vibes. We always look like we're ready to go for a hike or run.
When they said MINDY KALING I was like "HEYYYYYYYY"
New York is wayyy better
Then stay there
Autumn De Plata glady
Ayyyyy
Better at? You must have bumped your head and damaged that little bird brain.
I'm in upstate New York, but below Albany, and I hike all the time
hahahaha I'm from Orange County California so not exactly LA but very close by, and it's funny too see someone react strange to my customs
+mackensey psaros Lol me too! The hiking part is soo true tho, we have so many trails to hike, jog or mountain bike on, why not take advantage haha
I'm from NYC and I can relate to the stuff the show.
i relate to most of these and I'm born and raised in LA
0:25 wouldn’t New York people be more used to waking up earlier than LA people?
I’m not from New York but I can relate on the no hiking/running one
I just moved from NY(about 30mins away from NYC) to Michigan... it's been a year and i'm still not adjusted.
Im a lonley 15 year old watching this from Fresno California at 3:00 am...i need frens
I literally just moved to Southern California from New York. Go figure!
+Riachanai How do you like it?
Have you hiked?
LA has this impression of a car centric city.
But in all my visits, I commuted most of the time and even walked!
Though I usually stay in Culver City where public transportation is more accessible.
And that, it is accessible to some of the major tourist and commercial spots of the city.
Of course LA’s public transport is not as efficient as NY.
And Greater LA has its walking enclaves such as Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, DTLA, Hollywood Boulevard, Melrose, Venice to Santa Monica and more!
As a New Yorker I can Relate
WHAT ABOUT BEING USE TO DRINKING TAP WATER?!
NYC for the win! It's amazing unless you prefer a more quiet subtle life. But I love the fast pace, and diversity!
Shajneen Akhter LA is diverse too.
I lived in L.A for 11 years and it was great. Weather, beach, and hot girls everywhere plus you can do just about anything at anytime. Move because it got to crowded everywhere and cost of living not for me.
Since weed is now legal in California it's not even a race anymore.
I'm in DC for college and even though I'm from rural New York..... CAN RELATE
You know at first you kinda had a love hate relationship with NYC but then I realized I love New York, especially Brooklyn (where I live). Like it's somewhere it feels like home and never lonely. (It's been only 2 years I've been here)
nobody says “we started in brooklyn then went to manhattan”
honestly I've been to both places, and I like LA way better. The only thing I like better about NY is the public transportation.
L.A. seems pretty chill
1:20 The phone is meant to be on speaker but if you look at the phone screen it says it's not on speaker.
I hate hiking so much! It’s hard to enjoy nature when my legs are killing me.
1:25 that balding head though
I have that blue R2-D2 shirt that dude is wearing. YEAH!
I'm from Maine and I live in Florida oh what a heat difference
for me 11:30 and 12:00 is super weird too.i eat at 2-3 am
i'm from nyc and i don't get why people hating on LA. they live healthier and are less stressed. isn't that a good thing? nyc ppl are over stressed and eat pizza and chinese food. what am i missing here!!
Did anyone else notice the phone kept going from 1:33-1:34 on loop
Nothing beats a night out in NYC
Wow, no mention of how insanely easy it is to find parking compared to NYC?
I am not sure if you got if got the pen-pineapple-apple-pen ad but that was so funny!
You should make a video about people trying the nervana music stimulator
I thought the pizza and bagel thing was more of a new yorker thing, since they have no time during the day to eat proper food, and that in L.A it was all about being healthy, and eating vegan etc
Watchin this in this blizzard rn
Pizza and Bagels are not a standard to achieve in LA. However Sushi, Tacos, Korean BBQ , Thai, Ramen, Burgers, Pho, and Fried Chicken are.
Hahahaha the ending had me laughing hard. I'm moving to CA at the end of this month. Thanks for the video!
Did you mention how much chill and slow la is compared to New York oh they did
PLEASE DO MORE NEW YORKER VIDEOS!
New York babyy💯live in ct but love going to visit my city❤️
I live in CT. I wish I lived in New york, maybe the city, maybe long island. Idk.
Make one about being a Londoner in L.A/N.Y?
OMG I live in New York and I'm in la for spring break this video is 100% true
I live in New York, I can't imagine living in the city and hiking regularly
never been to cali and this vid just reinforced my instinct to move there
I haven't been to LA but I'm sure I prefer New York. LA is too dry and sunny and *connotations of summery warm things* for me.
Someone else noticed that she's talking on the phone with Killuweni (did I spelled it correctly), who played also one of the LA friends?
I moved from Boston to Florida and it’s a similar thing. and I’m moving back to Boston in 2021 because I don’t like Florida at all.
This is relatable for anyone who moved to LA though
Did anybody notice that at 1:16 she was talking on speaker but the actual phone wasn’t on speaker...
I thought the thumbnail was her sniffing a bottle of bath and body work's stress reliever lotion haha
Totally relate !!
Sister James need to see this
