A day in the life of the Dean of Medicine was probably a lot like a day in the life of Alison Cameron in an ER somewhere in Chicago. Mundane, boring, and not all that entertaining.
@@peachydarl They absolutely were. And many of them *still* are. 😉
What a fucking boss, I loved her character so much. I love seeing powerful women in series, like cuddy in House or Jessica in Suits
Jessica could be ruthless and selfish. Cuddy was always gracious, classy, and ethical.
@@justincase7848Jessica was working amongst the ruthless and selfish. Everybody in that firm had to be to play that game.
@@2EKgn16definitely true.
This show direly needed a few more episodes like this to flesh out Cuddy!
8:20 onwards... It went from me watching house to me watching scrubs without changing video... I'm impressed and now I'm sad because scrubs isn't a thing.
This episode was so great. It showed everything that Cuddy had to go through while dealing with House’s and Lucas’ insanity. I also loved the opening song, “Break Up the Concrete.”
Except there was little to no ''house insanity'' in this episode, and what's so ''insande'' that Lucas did at all?
Cuddy is like the ultimate.. quintessential cougar superbabe😍😍😍 and obviously a superb actress! Love her character and the zinging chem between her and House.. main attraction of a standout cast and writing team! House ruled/ rules and Lisa Edelstein is the shining co-star of the show IMHO..
I've been watching these episode recaps for the past couple weeks now. I've yet to see a full episode of the show. That being said, this was significantly more interesting and enjoyable than I suspected it to be.
Dude, same. God bless the admin, wherever they are.
Fine example of a strong female character done right!!!!
Love Lisa Edelstein❤
lisa a strong independent black woman who dont need no House
One of the single best episodes in one of the single best series.
Stand for what you believe in even if you stand alone.
If there are Lisa Cuddys out there in this world, they're superstars. Plus, this Cuddy has to deal with House.
Nice to see Jonathan Turner doing something other than school teaching after that motorcycle accident
Oh my gosh, YES!! Thank you, I couldn’t figure out why he looked so familiar.
Heck... I miss her and entire team. Man, I love the whole series of Dr House
An attorney for a patient would never speak directly with the dean of medicine, or rather, the dean of medicine would never allow herself to speak with the attorney
i LOVE this episode
this stressful side of cuddy's daily life, it was really well done
we know usually it isnt this extreme but compared to House stresses this was on par
8:27 I wonder how many takes it take, just for Cuddy to say "Yess!!!" in this scene.😁
"Yeah right, all you doctors care about is healing. That's why there all those BMWs and Porsches in the parking lot"
coming from a lawyer
That yes, was so wholesome.
its the "cheaper option " for me😂👌truly shows how doctors are everywhere and they still complain for not getting paid enough
Id give anything for a Woman like Lisa Cuddy. Smart, driven, ambitious, great personality, and my gosh can she rock a blouse and skirt.
That is why House is calling Cuddy
"Sunshine"
She is my fav of the show ♥
Eric Bibb's "Shine On" is perfect for this ❤
Wow, what a clip...Probably one of the best you've uploaded thus far!
When Cuddy goes all protective House on people
Cuddy channels House's energy for good 🤣
Such a great episode and a solid performance from Lisa Edelstein.
But I feel like one of the darker and more subconscious meanings behind the episode, like a few other House episodes, is the fucked up financial and insurance systems of the American healthcare.
when Cuddy rent that check was absolute gold
8:01 I love how Chase is still tryna fight
She campaigns for the patients, takes the heat for Dr Chase's actions and deals with that lunatic House. Good bosses and administrators are rare. If you've got one, count yourself blessed.
In the first scene I hated the insurer's lawyer, but by the end I could tell he wasn't personally trying to screw her over but rather warning her that the company would screw her over. He seemed genuinely happy that she got her deal.
Is nobody going to mention she looks drop dead gorgeous?
That lawyer was a complete ambulance chaser
Most people dont' understand what People in Cuddy's position do and what they have to go through
and the pressures of keeping their job.... and the things that have to make happen to keep things running!
When the guy was talking about loosing the thumb was better because Bill's I was hoping for cudy to walk him to the parking lot to show him lots of the dr still drive old cars .
At 8:33 I thought it cut to Carla from Scrubs. Also, I feel really sorry for the the guy that didn’t want his thumb. He shouldn’t have to pay for something he expressly said he couldn’t afford. I’m so glad I live in England with free health care.
Free limited healthcare
@@doctorfate6414 Oh it's limited here, too. Some people just never even have a chance to get in the line, so it seems like there's more to go around for those who don't have to think about that.
@@TiaKatt We are given instant admission for emergencies and are given operations for fatal or deathly conditions. Payment can be arranged or dealt by insurance. We have people in England who migrate from there to here for that factor alone. Not to mention that we have a more vast amount of operations including services of medication and medical then England goes.
@@doctorfate6414 don’t forget the much, much, much more advanced technological advancements the US sees because it allows its corporations to more or less do what they want with their own money. Granted, plenty of corruption and corporate bullshit still occurs, but that’s in part because of the corruption, which all nations have. Ours just isn’t nearly as phased by it.
If/when the cure for cancer is created/discovered, it’ll probably be in the United States of America.
@@doctorfate6414 do you think England doesn't have instant admission for emergencies, that they put you on a waiting line while you bleed out?
Or that they don't treat deadly conditions?
What are you trying to say?
What a magical episode, untainted by all the shenanigans promulgated by house :-)
3:13 A gentleman stands up when a lady joins them. What cads!
A real strong, empowering female character. No bullshit, holds her own, never backs down. Does not constantly tell people she's strong, let's her actions do the talking. Cuddy is a g🔥🔥
“Cuddly” ❤ this episode shows her perspective
Hilarious how House bribed the superintendent to crank up the AC just to make the attending surgeon hurry up.
A good example of why we need universal healthcare.
love how at 8:51, everyone is so hyped except the 2nd to last row...w/ house and his team
and his lips curl into an appreciative smile. High praise, indeed!
When I saw this episode I lost hair for the stress. What a hard position. I couldn t being in Cuddy s shoes. What a strong woman.
Finaly they mention the cost of those procedures.... it was time for the us to hear the $ cost.
commander hicks went from swat teams to insurance companies such a nice promotion lol
vice versa
i love how this ep shows why Cuddy is the boss
House md is the 🐐
Rich hearing the lawyer talk about BMWs
That is the game played at the highest level and even though this is a fictional series, you can tell just how intense those negotiations are. The weight on those shoulders are heavy. House and his antics are really the least of her worries. Lol
I'm sad that Cuddy didn't got to the end of series. She's amazing character
Dr. Lisa Cuddy has gotta be the dream of every women 👩 in this world. A career woman 👩⚕️, a boss, a mom 👧, everything 😊
I think she is stunning
Man, I love Cuddy
"We earned this money, and if we have to take your house to get it, we will." - what a powerful line!
The way she ripped up that check said everything there was to say about her character
Badass move
If anyone was wondering about the music the song is called Shine On by Eric Bibb. I had to look for it.
Now that's a good day at the office!
