Hello,
I passed my test today here in Kentucky. I watched your videos and it was probably the best tool I've used as an electrician. If you flip through and follow along with these videos, it prepares you for the test so well. Thank you for the time and insight. Let's get to it!!!
Chris
Congratulations!!!!!!!
This 10 week course has raised my confidence in doing calculations, services, overcurrent protection, grounding and bonding and motors which is 80% of the 02- residential NEC exam. I appreciate you coach! Stay Grindin!
You can do it!!
I paid $1750 for a master electrical course and I got the same thing if not more. The only thing they covered that you did not was series and parallel circuits for dc
Hey coach. I got my license on Tuesday in the state of Rhode Island . Your videos were excellent!!!!!!
Congratulations!!!!!
Your videos are awesome! I appreciate you putting these out.
Glad you like them!
My birthday is March 17th, St Patrick's Day and I just turned 67...This is by far the best way I've found for me and my other classmates from TAIA, The Academy of Industrial Arts school in Philadelphia to study for the Master Electrician test...Thank you Perry...
Happy belated birthday! My dad is on the 18th how funny Go get them!
Thank You !!! Watched all 10 in one day crunch before test
Did you pass or fail?
Hey man!!! Just wanted to say thank you!!! I’m going to rewatch this whole series over and over until it’s as easy as 1,2,3!!! Thanks again, the info you’ve shared here will make everyone here including myself a better electrician because of you. Thanks again!!!
I graduated the IEC in 2006 and am finally coming around to getting my license…. Better late than never I guess. Just needed to refresh on everything.
You can do it!
Please keep this up. This is very helpful. I've been out of IEC for a while now and I'm trying to test out before the new code. Limited income so these free crash courses are perfect. Thank you!

My next birthday is in a couple of months. The most difficult part for me so far has been calculating loads for new buildings. I think I'm going to review that section again before I take the license exam. Still on target. Thanks, Perry.

Hello. I'm on week 10, been watching your videos very closely for the past 2 weeks, which has helped me get a better understanding on how to use the NEC, I'm very grateful for your efforts. I would like to know for this episode. How did you find out why we only use our FLA for overloads, and FLC for short circuit, ground-fault protection. I only know how to use those factors, because you said it on the video and you made it clear on how to use them. But how or where in the NEC does it mention it?
@56:28
Why are we listening to the terminal rating, before you said we never listen to the terminal rating.
great videos!!!
Thanks!
Hello Coach does 220.5(B), which tells you to round up at .5 and up, applies to motor conductor and overcurrent protection sizing? I noticed you rounded down 30.25A to 30A which would have changed the wire size if you had rounded up.
It's a classic bad example you will never have a question that will be a quarter of an amp it's being taken out in the revised program.
Thank you for this awesome resource! Incredibly helpful. I have a question about motor overload: 430.32(c) seems to say we can size up as long as the protection is not above 130% (for all other motors). So, for your example with a motor FLA of 54, overload calculates to 62.1 which is between our options of 60A & 70A breakers. 54(1.3)=70.2A, so a 70A breaker is within limits. Can you clarify this for me?
What table was used to find the wire gauge?
Hey coach. Exactly where Is the video about voltage drop? I’ve seen all your videos on the 10 week course but haven’t come across voltage drop.
What page is our primary ampacity table on the nec 2020 just a little confused.
I don't have the book with me but it's going to be table 310.16 in the 2020
Thanks coach!
Of you want to pass take his course
Let's go get it!

which one of your videos has how to calculate power factor for motor?
I think I only cover power factor on the pro version testing center I don't think I have a video
Hardest subject you’ve taught us?? Whole house load calcs for sure
Multiple units, especially if the units/multifamily= different square footage
In your 3rd example of 30.25 amps on 60 degree terminals, you should pick #8 not #10. 10s are only rated for 30. Am I missing something? Rounding? Thanks
Round down .49 or less
