    I made this and it was unreal. I didnt strain out vegtables. It made a nice taste amongst the sauce. Highly recommend leaving them in.

      What I do is strain the sauce to still reduce but reserve the veggies for the end

    What makes it even better is to mix in an egg yolk as soon as you turn off the heat after reducing the sauce.
    It creates an emulsion so the water and oil don’t separate like they are in the video, and gives it a much better texture/flavor.

    What would happen if you didn’t strain the vegetables out before reducing the sauce?

      The veggies are there to impart the flavor. Straining the sauce is just something you'd do in a restaurant or fine dining setting for presentation and consistency.
      Leave em in if you want :)

      @@Liquidglitch Cool thank you! Yeah I was hoping I could leave them in to avoid wasting them. But wasn’t sure if there was a reason other than presentation value for discarding them!

      It's resting on bed of mash, so yes you can.

      Why lie? A vegan hotdogs is a carrot in a bun... just call it was it is. I prefer honesty and could never live a life f lies like your average vegan.
