Reminds me of the 70's one Christmas receiving the obligatory suitcase of hand me down model railway items, which were old Triang but.... the nostalgia.. I still buy the odd Triang bits just for well me. Great Vids thank you again..
Yes, the memories. My first trains were Dublo 2-rail. But my earliest memory is of the 3-rail layout in the basement of the local chemist shop ( of all places ).
Very good Keith very enjoyable,I’ve still got some of that in a cupboard,if I get it out connect it up and I’ll still run round that’s pretty bomb proof !
Nostalgia in spades! I couldn’t afford most of those, but I could dream! By the way, it’s Hornby Dublo (Double-O). Duplo is the junior version of Lego.
Brilliant, got a couple of boxes in the attic, I get it out to play on the dining room floor once in a while if my knees can take it. Stay safe. Cheers
I love the great long trains with presence - there’s a lot of metal hurtling past with Hornby Dublo. The Garret made with a pair of 2-6-4 chassis (?) is worth a video in its own right. Love the Deltic repainted as a prototype too; it looks so good WHY didn’t Hornby do one?!
Oops! I should have known better but you are the only person to have brought this to my attention. I have updated the UA-cam title and description but the details in the video are still incorrect.

I expect this kind of layout brings back memories for many of the 60s/70s.

My first experience was with my brother's layout which was Trix Twin (3 rail) but I do remember Hornby-Duplo quite well.
@@KeithTucker45 DUBLO!

We can all dream! That's what I do when I see the great layouts at exhibitions.

Thanks Paul. I know what you mean about the knees!! Mine can't take the kneeling much now.

Pleased that you liked the layout and video. Good to see a Hornby-Dublo layout in a scenic setting.
Hi, great video, but why do you insist on calling it Duplo when it's Dublo?????

What ever one does do not join the HRCA and keep your sanity!
Maybe they are the sane ones!
