Wow, Miss Sato. You are funny and full of surprises. I understand you play the electronic drums. Drummers are prone to be the first ones in the band who get a hearing defect. I mean in a normal band. There are some bands where the guitarist gets in trouble first. But usually its the drummer. Even so I have to say, I’m most impressed about your performances on acoustic drums.
I confess, I do not always love Kanade's recent choice of music - sorry, I'm an old fart. I do concede that she is technically outstanding and can perform in any genre - she is, perhaps, the most capable and versatile drummer on the planet. On top of that, she is recognized, successful, and has no lack of work. Her love of what she does and her relentless pursuit of perfection (almost since she was born), has brought her to where she is today. I love her and anyone one else with such devotion to music.
I understand your point, but all this proves is that she can play any genre of music, not just jazz fusion, and notice, she still maintains a high level of rhythm and syncopation, which a lot of drummers today lack!
