Depends what state you are in. Most states with Republican governors are open, no masks or at most in closed arenas for large sporting events. Or places like California where they pretend Covid is still killing thousands daily and are trying to make folks not visit home for Christmas. So most likely this was filmed in Texas or some other southern state.
@@chetstevens4583 It was filmed in North Carolina I believe. From what a couple people who were in the video said, all of them were vaccinated and they had to get covid tested the day before filming started

I just came back to Texas from California and New York, and it's a stark difference. It's like nothing ever happened here, business as usual. 🤷♀️ It's weird. I also went to the sold out BTS concert in L.A., so all-in-all, the U.S. in general is open for business. However, most Republican states just pretend it never existed to begin with.

i’m not sure if you guys have seen the making of this video but the tug of war, glass steps, and most of the sets of the outside games were edited so they weren’t really up that high it was all editing! so no need to worry:)) they were all safe

I watched a video of someone who was in a Mr Beast Video and she said they were all required to be vaccinated to participate and even then they still quarantined 5 days prior.

Mr. Beast is the best! I wish he’d host a game or event near me so I could try to join in! 🤗 This is the most expensive game he’s ever put together because all the sets together costs $3.5 million. The prize money is NOTHING compared to past prizes he’s given though. I hope he host several more squid games, but he hasn’t committed to doing it yet. People DO get upset at his games because people really do need/want that prize money and if your friend does not agree to share if they win then you are just broke and heartbroken. Haha

I didn't watch the tv series, but this really illustrates that the squid games were kinda rigged in mens' favor. Men have a stronger upper body strength- and more strength in general -so the rope pulling game is far more likely to get rid of women. Any team with more women on it than their opposing one would be pulled over simply because they lacked strength. The majority of contestants also seemed to be men. Both make it more likely for a man to win the games.
The show actually touches on this, though mostly in the tug-of-war episode. The contestants made their own group, and without even knowing the game they assumed it would require strength so many teams were stacked with muscular men. Even some in the protagonist's group were hesitant to let women join them because they feared losing. But I felt the show did a good job is showing that even when something appears to rely solely on physical power it also requires strategy and cooperation. I won't give any more detail in case you were planning on checking the show out on your own time, but I just wanted to comment on how spot on your observation was and how it actually relates to the show

@@ascarletmoon17 I watched the original Mr Beast one and came to the same conclusion. A lot of what his channel does ends up favoring men.
@@jenhofmann Well that's pretty much the point if you are talking about anything that requires athleticism. Hell if they played all the same games the squid games did it would favor men even more. They switched to musical years from ojingeo because let's be honest how many women could beat a man in a game like that? Unless straight up changed tug of war to a new game then it would've always favored men because that's what the actual show is about.

There are some breakdowns videos showing how they did the video and the players were not at risk at any time, all the dangerous scenes are cgi.

I felt so frustrated when I saw the video and they let everyone pick their own teams for tug of war and the guys wouldn’t let girls on their team. I guess some people feel comfortable being jerks if it means they might get money

@@Bestla9900 Nightfox did say that through random luck the teams got set up evenly matched. There was two female teams which went against each other, and the team that was yelling no girls allowed lost to the strong looking team, which had a girl in it

The issue is that in the US (and Canada) you basically pay half of your winnings in taxes and often have to pay to receive winnings upfront. Like when people win stuff at Ellen’s 12 days of giveaways, they have to pay taxes on everything and often have to pay fees upfront to take things home. If you win a car, you likely have to pay around $7k to even take it off the studio lot!
So while I’m happy this kid won that much money, he will likely only see a portion of it and will also become ineligible for many state benefits because of his new tax bracket.
If Mr. Beast gave a smaller amount and paid the prize tax that would be much more valuable!
in north carolina, where mr beasts lives they would take 25% in federal taxes and 5% state taxes, the kid would keep about $316,920 still life changing money. How in the world are state benefits more valuable than $316k lol
