Robin has been quite open-source in the whole process of this album. He's revealed a lot of details on his social media, taken part in a huge number of discussions amongst fans, and now - of course - he has made the whole album available on UA-cam.
I love how very rooted in the music and literary traditions Robin is, while at the same time being completely in touch with the digital pulse and the new music industry.

The melody that runs from 4:21 to about 4:38 feels like the sun breaking through the clouds. This is quickly becoming one of my favourite FF songs.

I'm pretty sure Robins new kink is to whisper so quietly into the microphone so that it sounds like he's standing right by you and scares the shit outta you if you're wearing headphones.

Their best album. I love their most recent work but this record transcends everything and you can tell Robin put his heart and soul into the record especially during the hiatus. Beautifully crafted songs that took time and effort to execute.

    So the mind won't lie
    And the arm won't set
    And the bright red eye
    Isn't off you yet
    So the words won't come
    And the hand won't touch
    And a midnight sun
    Doesn't look like much
    As an iris contracts
    Facing the day
    (I can tell you've cracked
    Like a china plate.)
    When the world insists
    That the false is so
    With a philippic, as Cicero
    "The tighter the fist
    The looser the sand"
    [If I don't resist
    Will I understand?]
    Ooh, ooh, ooh
    All things change
    Dividing tides
    Far as I can see
    All fades through
But a (light / lie) of you
    As Eellllyyaaalliiiiiyyy
    [Outro]
    All I see-
    Dividing tides-
    Rising over me--
    [Exit]

I tend to listen to this, I get the purpose of the song but I have this feeling of wanting to leave for a while, I don’t know to where but I know I’ve stayed in place for too long. “If I don’t resist, will I understand?” pushed me to think of this crazy idea. It may be the worst it may be the best but it’s my only time where I can ever make such a decision…
