Hi Patrick, new lacrosse mom and dad here. Is it possible to do a video on how to be a good lacrosse parent? My 10 yr old loves lacrosse and it’s new to both my wife and I. I want to encourage without being “that parent”. I’ve studied the rules and tried to learn the game. I let him practice but don’t push. I also let the coaches coach and keep quiet on the sidelines. Specifically, what are the traits of parents you enjoy and the things that are “no-no’s” when you deal with lacrosse parents? Honestly curious - the sport is amazing and my kid loves it. Thanks from new lacrosse parents in Michigan.
@@POWLAX Thank you, I will absolutely share with our team parents. We love our coaches, the programs are growing here in Michigan and the kids are just having a blast.
Hi Patrick, I loved the video, but I was wondering if you knew any good long poles. My brother is just getting into lacrosse and I don’t know where to even start.
A good complete stick is The ECD Rebel D CF5 it’s a bit pricy being $225 but it’s really nice and the Head is very strong and reliable and on the Cheaper side is the STX stallion it’s also a complete stick it’s about $60 And Everything I’ve heard about it was good
How old is your brother? If he’s just getting started, I recommend the String King Completes because it’ll have a good pocket and it will serve them for the beginning of their experience.
@@POWLAX it’s a mid high/ high (depending on your definition) with a smooth quick release. I have only passed with it I haven’t taken shots with it yet.
Hi Patrick, love the channel. I read some bad reviews of the All Ball Pro, apparently on the Stringer model the angle of the rebounder doesn’t hold and needs to be constantly readjusted. Have you seen that issue on the 5x5 model? Or once the angle is set, does it always hold? Thanks!
@@seangilbride2888 same issue. It can be tightened so that it doesn’t move, but it’ll get lose after too long. It’s because of the cylindrical design of the shaft through the middle. It’s a simple readjust and tighten after. It’s worth the ability to change it to Fit anything you need, rather than steps of tilt.
It really depends on why you want it. I don’t like them, but it’s a personal choice. If I need a ball that isn’t as hard, I’ll go with a tennis ball. I’ll never use them in practice. They should never be shot on a live goalie. They can be decent for cradling practice or just passing back and forth, but that’s about all I’ll use em for.
Personally, in the backyard when I want to do long range shooting and it not go over the fence and hit my neighbors window, house, dog, or just straight up my neighbor, They’re great, but for everything else like ground balls and hitting the wall I would still use rubber balls. The whole purpose of them it’s just to have no bounce, so if you’re in a situation where you need a ball that you can throw with the same weight but you don’t want it to go into a street and hit a car because it becomes a bullet whenever it hits concrete, I would suggest getting at least one of them

Honestly just like whenever he says I’m bored or something encourage him to play wall ball or go shoot.
I will be making a video on this shortly! I asked a bunch of other coaches for some input, but it’ll be out in the next week or so!

What’s your budget?
@@Muffledbox no more than $300

I’m stringing a QX-D with iso mesh today and hopefully doing a currier replica in it
Nice! How did it come out?

Isomesh make any sense for an LSM for ground balls?
It's all preference. It definitely can be.
Thanks Patrick - great timing for the Xmas season! Regarding the All Ball Pro - did you have a recommendation on size? Thanks!
I bought the 5x5. Would have went bigger if it wasn’t for the ridiculous shipping. All in, mine was $1500. The smallest I’d go is the new Stinger, 3x3
@@POWLAXThanks Patrick! FYI All Ball Pro is currently running a discount of 15% and including a goal for $100!
@@mikechao7649 Is that discount still going on and how do I get it?

Would a swax lax ball be a good purchase I’ve heard mixed opinions on it
after awhile they turn to hacky sacks

Love the channel. Get a helmet on your boy though man. No need to take a chance
We have one, he’s resistant, but I’m with you, we gotta get it on him with the real balls out there.
