so stoked for you guys to have been able to create another album together, the wait was more than worth it based on this song alone!
this will be lost in a sea of comments, but my closest friend passed from suicide on march 11th of this year, and you guys were her favourite band. i introduced you to her a few years ago and we had a pact we'd go see one of your concerts some day, fly to england and see you on stage. death rattle was her favourite song. maybe i'll see you with her in spirit sometime in the future. thanks for all the memories.
im not sure if this is out of pocket or not but. i was very close to giving in to suicide in april this year, death rattle is my fav song too. Im so very sorry about your friend, and i hope its comforting that someone like me can see themselves in a situation like yours, and see how much you loved your friend. I need to remember how loved and missed i would have been. i hope you make it to england some time, and ill hope to do the same.

@@WaffleBoiStudios kind of yes, in the sense of having it on streaming platforms / cassette as an EP, but we knew those songs anyway because they're bonus/discarded tracks from the Hello Sadness sessions and the mp3s have always been floating around the internet. I think some of them were in Heat Rash, etc

What really comes through is all the themes from their old albums, the strings remind me of the hello sadness days, that familiar melancholic optimism with a burn it all down overtone.
