I really love this 😢 ❤ it really says a lot about what society expects of women and how we are always told to do certain things and look a certain way, or the right things to say , to be and feel accepted by society ! It also says a lot about what men expect women to look like BECAUSE of society’s standards. This is why I always teach my son that it’s okay to have preferences (everyone has preferences and some don’t either way it’s okay ) but to always love someone (whoever he decides to be with ) for their heart and their personality and not just their looks ❤. I always also do positive affirmations with my son, so that he knows he is perfect just the way he is! That he is beautiful and handsome inside and out ❤ so that he knows that he’s loved and cared about no matter what he chooses to wear, or what he decides to do as a career etc. ❤. I really love this 😢 ❤ it really says a lot about what society expects of women and how we are always told to do certain things and look a certain way, or the right things to say , to be and feel accepted by society ! It also says a lot about what men expect women to look like BECAUSE of society’s standards. This is why I always teach my son that it’s okay to have preferences (everyone has preferences and some don’t either way it’s okay ) but to always love someone (whoever he decides to be with ) for their heart and their personality and not just their looks ❤. I always also do positive affirmations with my son, so that he knows he is perfect just the way he is! That he is beautiful and handsome inside and out ❤ so that he knows that he’s loved and cared about no matter what he chooses to wear, or what he decides to do as a career etc. ❤. This also says a lot about how eating disorders and body dysmorphia and mental health come about ❤ this video and this song is so deep. I struggle with loving myself and with body dysmorphia and mental health so much, not only because I am a women but because of all the trauma and abuse I have endured through out my life 😢 I feel that my body is ugly (I’m working on changing it bc only I can ) and that no matter what I do it will never be enough 😢. I get told on a daily how fat, ugly, disgusting, and unattractive I am 😢 and it doesn’t help.
