For our sudden trip to Virginia, we booked a hotel on the way. Graves Mountain Farm & Lodges is situated in Syria, Virginia surrounded by the Graves Mountain. It's a hotel where you can go to run away from the busy city life.
We drove from Skyline Drive to the hotel, which was approximately 40 miles drive, but we found no restaurants or stores on the way. It was pitch black with only the car headlight lighting the road. As we arrived, we found that there was no cell phone service or hotel staff at that time.
They did leave our keys for us. Sadly, there was no dinner service at that time. Wish we had thought about it earlier and informed the hotel or packed something to eat.
So anyways, after reaching at 10.30PM we freshened up, unpacked and got off to bed to enjoy the beautiful sunrise in the morning.
