    I mined on my mere R9 290 in my sophomore year in HS. I stopped in 2015 for the reason that the coin crashed, and just deleted my seed/wallet program.. Again, when I started going to college in 2017 I started mining. It really popped off in 2018, and I sold my GPUs because the sheer profit I saw was "great". Wow was I wrong..This time I'm going to do it big

      Theres a video explaining why we dont go full solar energy.. basically u need TONS AND TONS of solar panel for a single machine to the point that it isn't practical.. please remember the S9 consumes 1200 watts and the T17 consumes up to 3000 watts...

    • @1stMjolnirMarkV
      @1stMjolnirMarkV 4 роки тому

      Solar is extremely expensive to set up and maintain. On top of that, it’s not reliable and doesn’t produce power 24/7. Batteries like the Tesla power wall wouldn’t help because you would need another whole set of solar panels to charge the walls to have the system run at night. It’s just too expensive.

    • @ThatOneGuyYMK
      @ThatOneGuyYMK 4 роки тому +1

      @@2000jago People like you don't realize there's more way than one to utilize solar without slapping panels on your roof.
      There's a company in my location that sells panels on solar farm. The power it produces gets credited to my my electric bill. Before, my rate was roughly .115/Kwh. Taking off what the farm produces, then adding back on my my payment for the panels, my rate becomes .089/Kwh. I'm saving more than what I'm paying on the system.
      Not to mention that there's a 5300$ state grant that comes off the principal of the system, along with a federal tax credit of 8500$.
      Even on your roof, if you're not off the grid, then the goal is to be saving more on electricity than you're paying on the solar system. In fact, a system on a roof here that's tied into the grid gets accredited at a ratio of 1/1 Kwh as compared to a farms .8/1 Kwh, so your rate has the potential to be even lower, but thinking about it, it would level out probs as the cost of a roof system is typically more expensive.
      Another benefit of my panels on the farm, they aren't tied to my house. If I move, as long as I stay within the territory of my power provider, then the benefits follow.

      This is my company. I have a few models of 3-phase PDU available. 63A 3-phase (189A total).
      480V/415V/380V down to 208V, 240V or 277V automatically, without the need for a step-down transformer.
      On the front, there are 3 breakers. One 2-pole breaker for every bank of four C19 receptacles for a total of 12-ports.
      On the back, there is a cable gland/strain for the power cable to come through. Inside, there is a terminal block to which you would connect bare wire (4-5 gauge, 4-wire or 5-wire) from your transformer.
      I can customize the PDU however you wish. We even have one that is a PDU/Switch Combo unit.

    man i love the idea, makes perfect sense from a first principles approach perspective - of course liquid is more effective then air cooling - just that this can be optimized big time. Why only 1 layer of antminers? .. if is like a server environment and you have bothered to build the tank .. then make it like a walled garden, have 5-10layers of antminers at least.. per container.. i mean that tank, materials and pipes and everything.. so much money invested and a higher density can easily be obtained. 5x density at least. It should be more cost effective if you do it this way.

      Because BitCool is 1500x better at heat transfer than air, it allows for the "effort" necessary in order to transfer heat away from the chips to be much less. Across the board we're seeing Watts per TH decreasing by 20-35% while at the same time increasing the hashrate by 60%. As an example: We have gotten the S17 50TH that runs at 50 watts per TH to 80TH at 42 watts per TH. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions!

    I just realized at 0:18 that's some slim profit margins! Luckily the price of bitcoin rose a lot since a year ago. I'm guessing that was the assumption all along. Is there anywhere I can get info on this sort of setup to assist in my own build? My goal is to have a tub with all my GPU's in it (open top), and pump the liquid outside through a heat pump unit (no compressor, just the fan) to radiate the heat. I'm basically researching everything from scratch right now and it's a long-winded process. What liquid to use, pump, pipe, etc. Any info would be really awesome, even if the info is telling me my McGuyver setup is a failed mission.

      Kash Kash depends how big. Global EMP would destroy crypto. I imagine it would restart. if you just fried some miners then it wouldn’t work because the network is distributed.

    Great Video and finally a legit explanation on how the mining is facilitated! I would appreciate some advice on if it is possible to install POWER Current in my apartment by an electrician as I have 60 kW Mining Power available as I now ONLY have LIGHT Current. So if anyone could please give me some advice on the best solution with that much of kW power, Thanks!

    You didn't ask him any technical info... What density of miners is he getting ? what temp are they running at? why that fluid and not the 3M Novek? why does he not have hoods to capture the evaporation of that expensive fluid? the fluid was perfectly still - its should have been rapidly boiling if he were running at capacity. hes probably just ramping up ,just getting started..

      @@VoskCoin Sorry about my tone earlier.. AS a full time miner in the south, I have been looking into immersion cooling for the last couple years. So the questions I would ask are probably too involved or technical. In a nutshell, i really want to know if he is seeing real savings like they claim. Immersion systems claims 80% costs reduction. Is this realistic?

    May I ask: how much time and power do I need for one Bitcoin? Can someone give me a little bit more info?

    • @NatorDM

      An ASIC is the ultimate Mining tool... built only for mining, and some of the most powerful yet expensive ones like the Bitmain S9 would take between 800 - 1100 days to mine 1 Bitcoin, but because of changing variables like price per coin, amt (# of miners and blocks to mine), power, frequency, and several others. You won't be making back your money for the asic for several years to say the least. - I don't mean to sound depressing... I was heavily invested into mining, but after I learned more about the buying and selling of crypto I sold most of my hardware off and used the money and reinvested it back into buying coins. Signing up for a crypto wallet is free and trades and sell fees are pretty cheap. So, all you really have to do is acquire the knowledge and that's really it. Just for fun rigs like mining off of your personal PC (if you have a lower powered mac don't do this) are a great way to learn more about money, but trying to mine 1 entire Bitcoin with your personal PC, isn't possible you'd probably burn your hardware up before you even got 1/4 of the way through a full coin. Again...I'm trying not to be depressing but it is the current reality of it. - Hope this helps.
