Aliexpress DRSSTC Repair and Upgrades

After blowing up some components, I decided to revive the coil with some genuine parts from Mouser, as well as convert the coil to run at full power on 120V, rather than its original 220V.
Here are the parts I used:
Elec Caps: 381LQ681M250H052 680uF 250V
Tank Cap: 940C30P1K-F 0.1uF 3Kv
IGBT: FGA60N65SMD 60A 650v
Rectifier: GBU3510H_T0_00601 15A 1Kv
*This video was filmed before I zapped it with the big Tesla Coil. I had forgotten about it.

Curious why you converted from 240 to 120?

I converted to 120V so I can use it elsewhere than my garage. I have a vid of me building it, but I doubt Ill ever do an actual build guide. sorry.

When I have 240V sockets, I shouldn't have to convert them to 120V like you, right? And should I replace the primary capacitor with a 100nF one? And what about the IGBTs and rectifier, should I preemptively replace them even though the original ones are still fine?

You dont need to convert if your already on 240V. Switching out the capacitor isnt necessary either, but it helps reduce the coupling du to less turns on the primary. If you plan on changing your IGBTS, might as well give them hell while they are still functional ;)
