It is true we don't know anything about them outside of this 1 moment. However, being blunt is not a license or excuse to be hypercritical. They were in a space, that was meant for couples, to see if they could notice the gradual changes done to beautify themselves. This was not the time to be giving scrutiny while the other 2 ladies are being lavished with affection by their gentlemen. It wouldn't kill him to solely look at and point out the pretty stuff and just uplift her in the moment. There is a reason so many people are pointing out the differences.
