I wish there was money in it for you to make videos like these haha. I could probably watch one for every machine ever made. Interesting pinball machine and really great video. I like the background/history part a lot and wouldn’t mind a little more time in the video dedicated to that - sale price at the time, reception, few more snippets from the designer.
Twilight Zone will always be my favorite machine of all time. The first pinball machine I ever played and the first machine I ever reached the wizard mode on
This is my all time favorite pinball machine. I haven't played it in decades, so thank you for recording a playing session. One of these days, I'll find one and get it...
Hi André. Finally a new video from you! And 45 minutes, Yippee! I don't know any other pinball channel who has such high quality videos of pinball machines like yours. You're doing an amazing job. And this game is an absolut classic. Back then, over 15 years ago, when I got mine, I didn't like it. Everyone had one and I thought I should buy one too. But I didn't get warm with it. Today, It's part of my standard setup and it will never leave my game room. Pat Lawlor and Chris Granner, an absolut dream team and my favourite combo for pinball games. Thanks again for this beautifully made video and history and I wish you all the best. Greetings from Luxembourg.
Thank you, Kenny! Love your avatar :) Sorry the videos are so infrequent, they take a TON of time to make and I have a real job already hahaha! I do love making them though, so more coming. The next game overview won't be anything anyone would be able to predict, I'll say that much!
After moving from virtual pinball on my xbox, Twilight Zone was the machine I first fell in love with. This video was great and I really enjoyed watching you go over it :)
Thank you! After you are done watching, my advice would be to head over to pinballmap online and see if there is one on coin play someplace near you, and go play it!!
@@abpinball Thanks but there is none nearby i live in germany and right now i only have access to virtual pinball on my pc. There's almost no arcades over here at least where i live. However i do have a access to a virtual version of this. Virtual Pinball got me interested in videos such as this one, i stumbled across it by accident as i read an article of Pinball FX being ported to unreal engine 5 featuring ray tracing. Since i'm into Computers a lot and like RT i downloaded the game and gave it a try. I now got 270 hours on record. I plan on playing real tables eventually it's just not available to me as of right now but that might change in the future. The video helped me understand the layout and gameplay a lot! Thanks for putting in so much effort. Edit: I just checked Pinballmap i have to drive 211 miles to the closest arcade that has this table. If i get the chance to do so i might give it a try. Although that would be someday in the future. Thanks for mentioning it. I only knew about the stern insider programm, i think that's what it's called.
Fantastic video 👍 thanks very much for creating it for us to enjoy. Now I miss TZ again, I’ve owned it twice and will probably get it again 😀 By the way, nice game you played too. Cheers Gav
Thank you! Yup LED OCD is a must if you do put LEDs in this generation of game, but I decided to go for a hybrid look on it - LEDs for General Illumination, but incandescent for all the controlled lamps! Glad you like how it looks!
I'm no Keith Elwin, but I think the modes just don't end up worth the risk as a lot of them involve dangerous shots (stand up targets, slot machine, dead end etc). Multiball is fairly safe to get into and worth decent points, plus progress towards Lost in the Zone is also all fairly safe shot, so those things put together is my usual strategy - pretty much what I did in the gameplay section of the video. Good luck, thanks for the positive comment and thanks for watching!
I'll add a pinned comment mentioning of the modern era, not pre-flipper games. Also if you're going to nit pick: Bally Hoo sold only 2115 units according to IPDB. What you meant: Ballyhoo, current estimate 50k units.
Don’t get me wrong, but Twilight zone isn’t for everyone. I’ve had the privilege of helping to restore one and this machine is not for me. First of all, the theme isn’t the greatest, especially if you never cared for the show that much. Second, there are so many toys on the playfield, it’s a bit crowded and cluttered, which limits the action on the playfield in my opinion and a steep learning curve. It’s a great game, but don’t think that just because it’s popular, it’s for everyone. If there’s anything that I’ve learned from purchasing and owning pinball machines, it’s to buy the machines that interest you, not what everyone else likes. This machine is a bit overrated in my opinion.
I've met tons of people in the hobby that really don't like Twilight Zone! Definitely agree it is not for everyone. And re: the steep learning curve, the designer of the game agrees with you ;) The irony about the complexity of the game is that one of the main strategies playing it is actually very repetitive - ramp piano, ramp piano, ramp piano, all day long. Thanks for watching!

The good news is they're not that hard to find! They made so many of them, they often come up on the market. Thanks for watching!

Your videos are so sincere and plainly convey you passion for these machines. Thanks!
Thanks Kevin, I do love pinball and I'm glad to hear that comes across! And thanks for watching!

Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the compliment!
Beautiful. I needed this breakdown besides. Such a great channel. 👊👌
Awesome showcase video. Well done. Good game.
Glad you liked it and thanks for watching!
Awesome video!!!
Awesome i just found this in my recomendations. I wanted to learn more about this table someday and i feel like that day has come :D

Great video! Best video I've seen on TZ
Great tutorial and video
Thank you! :)
Nicccee video! Also cool that you use incadescents, cause they are way more smooth!

@@abpinball yes your totally right. Smoothness is everything, i dont like this hard on/off switching. led ocd boards are also very good.
Well, if it isn't the best game ever made, I'd like to know what is. Absolutely superb!
What a great video. Love your channel. I'm interested in the strategy for tournament play. Loop multiballs? Are the modes worth much?

It's not rod "sterling". It's serling
Indeed it is - thank you for the correction!
Well I'm not 3 min in and I already don't trust your research. The number 1 selling pinball of all time is... Bally Hoo
I'll add a pinned comment mentioning of the modern era, not pre-flipper games. Also if you're going to nit pick: Bally Hoo sold only 2115 units according to IPDB. What you meant: Ballyhoo, current estimate 50k units.
