I've been to this mall several times during this week: most of all shops that are closed in the video are open now and even entertainment area with a foodcourt on the 2nd floor. And it's definitely weekend mall, you can't even compare how many people are there during weekend.. Now I would say that it's 70-80 % amount of people that was before the war.

I was here on Friday and I was so upset to see so few people there. But your words make me a little bit cheerful, I want visit it on weekend to remember how it was in normal life before the war when there are so many people in malls. Even still, when there is so high risk to being bombed... sad... but wanna fell even an illusion of previous normal life.

Many people would imagine seeing a horrific war zone, as the media are portraying it, but your video is showing a peaceful place, a desirable site to visit and enjoy life. This is hard to explain, but if some people after seeing this video would say that it is not so bad in Ukraine, this would be difficult to hear by those directly affected, wounded, and killed, and for the family members who survived.

I’m glad some stores are open to keep the economy going as much as possible. I’m always amazed that somewhat normal life can exist a few hundred miles away from total chaos and war. It would be easier if the Russians weren’t sending missiles occasionally into far parts of the country.
It may be some stores are closed for lack of trucking to bring in merchandise and because the ports are blocked. I imagine most trucks are being used to bring in ammunition and supplies from other places for the fighting

Sad about the wood-working art-craft store. I can understand Ms. Reznikova's desire for one of those unique-made map-creations, desiring one to hang on a wall in her future-settled apartment. But if machines are destroyed, production site bombed by barbarian invader-occupiers, the craftsmen and artists are temporarily unable to earn income by producing their fine-product in peace. (Real future profitable export potential in those handsome world Map creations, along side whatever else the company made. Heaven willing, when peace is secured, would be great if they could not only return to normal business, but successfully expand abroad!)

The modern shopping malls in Ukraine look as impressive as any in Europe. It does seem surprising they are open given the reports of cruise missile attacks being fired at civilian targets anywhere in the country plus it is hard to believe it is viable for the shops to be open with so few potential customers in the mall. I know people have to buy from somewhere in a conflict but I doubt if shopping malls would be open in the UK in a similar serious conflict situation with the immense power of modern weapons.
