You're forgiven, even though there's nothing to forgive! Somehow Richie flew under my radar! (I'm from 1962 and a dedicated shredding Michael Schenker adept, started playing when i was 13 years old! 1975! ) untill a few months ago! ..How? I honestly can't recall ....Imagine..30 years of Richie Kotzen walking on the same planet (open for debat) at the same time
i was! My life hasn't been a pleasure ride (aux contraire). More than once pulling the plug wasn't a imaginairy option (...). I consider it an unearthly gift realising.it has been worth to endure and to survive, "mission impossible" without any cause, all the hardship. As a pretty decent axe-man myself sensing this unspeakably incredible ode to The Muses I humbly resolve.

Yea Gods, I think I would have given a kidney to see a young Richie Kotzen solo like this! I saw The Winery Dogs at Variety in Atlanta--where the whole, mainly musician crowd stood up for the entire concert!--and, yes, they were superb! But the whole time I kept thinking how much better it would have been to have heard Richie solo, without all the bass and drum flourishes, so you could hear more Richie singing and playing, more pure Richie raw talent and soulfulness! Not that I don't love Sheehan and Portnoy, mind you--I just know the "Shape of Things" I could have heard!

I saw RK recently with the Winery Dogs. He was magnificent. His singing and playing was totally on point. Utterly brilliant. No guitarist sings as well as Kotzen. No singer plays guitar as well as Kotzen. Having said that, his performance here is poor in comparison. His singing is a mess as is his guitar playing. Kudos to the man for kicking the drugs and achieving his true potential.

Plus, the dis-ability to perform with his "fender" "stratocaster signature"....i'm noticing that anytime he's playing with the strat', the Set is desastrous as far as the guitar is concerned....

think that in this concert he is more set as the main star plus want to show what he got, so he was all over the places and even his singing is much full of energy compared to his latest performances which is more laid back and enjoying the playing.

He still sounds great even on a bad day.

Totally agree. He's performance is messy, to say the least.

Is it mainstream knowledge that RK had any sort of drug problem? Never heard that before this comment
