Yeah :/ In the books he dies on the ship after telling the Captain his story (and maintains that his creation is monstrous and horrific throughout the tale), and The Creature comes to mourn over his body as a son before committing suicide.
Frankly I find a lot of animatics to be fairly uncreative and just stiff, but these are so well done I could legitimately see them being the boards for an animated film.
Oh gosh ... this is wonderful. The character designs, the use of light and shadows, the mouvement! I love the choppiness of the Creature’s hair, the flashback scenes, Victor falling to his knees and the Creature so tenderly picking him up ... Oh my, this is so lovely and bittersweet. Thank you for this.
I love that you made Adam take Victor off the boat with him instead it feels so much more powerful than the original ending to me, as him and the creator both go off into the unforgiving dark together.
1:23 this is incredibly clever. the first time i watched this with my friend we both audibly went "DUUUUUUDE........." also i love how you draw the creature's hair and how you animate it. it is so tastefuly and yummy thank you for this food this is amazing
i like your style. it fits the story so well. most people (including me) tend to draw everyone (even the creature) cool & hot but your designs look more gothic and horror-y somehow
I am in love with you art style - its somehow so fitting for the Frankenstein universe in its starkness and irregularity. You also have a supreme talent in hitting those emotional beats within the music and your creativity with transitions and framing is uh *chefs kiss* so good! I have also watched your "Birth to my Creation" animatic and the energy and suspense you manage to build in it blew me away. I especially love how well you captured that moment where Victor truly realises what he's done, his delusion shattered and replaced with horror as he sees the poor monster lumbering towards him: yours was the first adaption I've seen that really did it justice and in such a short amount of time too! The little details: the size difference between Victor + the Monster; the Monster's hair movements giving him a supernatural feel and the flashback sequence just make it all that much better! Thank you very much for animatics!
Well, you've just broken my heart but I'm glad about it. Honestly, this is beautiful and I love both your character designs. The size difference between Frankenstein and the Creature was utilised well.
Wow! This looks like a storyboard for a film, I could quite easily be fooled that it was! This is my favorite portion of the musical, I really think you did it justice. This looks absolutely fantastic, the designs are great and consistent throughout, I am simply in awe! Great work! Edit: I just read the description on the symbolism, I love that take on it! I have been a fan of the book for a long time and I never picked up on that detail.
Holy wow, your art feels weird but also I can't stop watching it's so good! Also it's kinda nice that in the musical Vic acknowledges what I see as the real moral of the story "don't be a deadbeat dad"(i.e. don't run away from the consequences of your actions, such as bringing a life into the world)
I wanted to say how much I really like this animatic - I feel like this closing song to the musical is so important and you were able to pull off this animatic so well. I especially love your character designs for them.
HOLY FUCKIGN SHIT THIS IS ACTUALLY FUCKING AMAZIN I AM 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 I AM GOING YO CRY. THE ARTSTYLE THE EXECUTION,THE EVERYTHING. YOU EVEN GAVE A FLASHBACK TO VICTORS MISTAKES AND ALSO HOW WALTON SAW THE CREATURE LEAVE WHICH WAS CONFJSING INTHE PLAY. BRILLIANT FHCJIGN JOB
Oh man the way you drawn the characters is so uncanny yet I cannot look away. Your art really manages to catch the gloominess of the Frankenstein musical. Dude, the way you drawn Frankenstein's hair flowing in the wind is also a pretty cool touch.
wow, this is like so so cool stylistically. i adore your design for monster mash, he has never looked worse and i mean that in the best way possible. (this song is kind of funny because it is like fully the opposite of what happened with victor and creatch at the end of the book-more of a satisfying ending though, wouldn’t you say?)
This is so unsettling and beautiful T^T I love it, I absolutely love and adore how you showed their emothins, it's just-- it brought me to tears and it kills me everytime I see it
It's the same scene, but in the book Victor never acknowledges the creature as his son. In the book the creature gets the last word and Victor doesn't get to be a sympathetic character. I think that they rewrote the ending so that the entire musical doesn't end in total misery. I can get along with an ending where Victor realises his mistakes, but him calling the creature his son is a little much to me. Just my opinion. I think the musical ending is okay and I like this song.
@@cartoongoon0270 "I think that they rewrote the ending so that the entire musical doesn't end in total misery" To be fair I wouldn't exactly call this ending a cheery one, if anything having Victor and Adam finally realize their mistakes only after it's too late is even more tragic than the original.
It is not true. In the book, Frankenstein dies of exposure and exhaustion after hunting the creature down up to the North Pole. And creature most likely commits suicide afterwards.
Sleep paralysis gang
Lmao
here
This makes me want to cry. I’m so happy Victor takes responsibility for his actions and accepts The Creature as his son.
I dont think Victor ever really did that in the original book. So points to this for doing so
@@Graycata yeah in the book victor is kinda awful
Yeah :/ In the books he dies on the ship after telling the Captain his story (and maintains that his creation is monstrous and horrific throughout the tale), and The Creature comes to mourn over his body as a son before committing suicide.
ok when victor put adam’s hands around his neck.... holy shit.... your symbolism is palpable and your storytelling impeccable
Immagine if the roles reverse and the creature now wants to reanimate Victor
the flashbacks are so so so good, i wish this could turn into a movie
aw thanks owen

In all seriousness, this has a dark bitter-sweet feeling to it. Especially 1:24 holy shit. I got Over the Garden Wall vibes...

OAiuuGHH VICTORS LIDDLE NIGHTGOWN I AM I AM LOOKING
The doctor is just a smol boi
"Wimpy drop out"
Victor wasn’t a doctor. He was a college dropout.
He is a bloody shell of a drop out man
This is honestly one of my fave animatics currently. I really love the 1:23 part.
Dude, I never noticed how sad the creature's voice was even before Victor apologized.
i like your style. it fits the story so well.

I love how you draw faces and expressions. You are super talented!
WOWZA.. dude.. the character designs, the creature’s hair, the movements,,,, the STYLE.... Damn,, all of this is stunning
This is making me emotional about Frankenstein all over again,,,,
And this is super well made!
Be right back imma play this on loop for 20 minutes and cry
The character design really captures the horror essence intended by the book. The storyboard itself is touching.
That scene with the rain and the contorted expression...
It was so powerful. The hair movement was also a lovely touch.
Bravo 👏👏👏
This is wonderful! Beautiful art, amazing character design and Victor is just rather dramatic. Which is why we love him. (And creature obviously)
I absolutely LOVE the movement of Creature's hair!

You are an amazing storyboard artist. Marvelous work.
I...I have no words... The most beautiful animation I have ever seen! Almost cried at the end ;

This is like a punch to the gut in the best possibly way. Amazing job.
I love all of this but I especially love how you draw his haiirrrr
I have listened to this song like a hundred times, but watching your animation was the first time it legit made me cry

We need the other classical monsters as musicals like werewolves, invisible man, the mummy wouldn't that be awesome
Your Victor looks like the amalgamation of every version of H.P.Lovecraft.
im speechless omg this is just. amazing i don’t know what to say LIKE

This is amazing, your symbolism is amazing!! This is such a heart breaking and touching scene, and you did it more than enough justice! Amazing work!
This was actually amazing, your art blends so well with the tone and emotion of the song!
Oh my god, I adore this art style
Truly an amazing job!! I'm in love with how you drew them, the character shapes are so clear and unique!👏👏💕
I am crying at how beautifully this is done,,, Love your style so much 💕💕
I think the character design for the creature is accurate to the book description.

In the description you said you dont like the ending of the musical, so do you also not like the book ending? Cause it's basicly the same scene

Dude its scary shit. Its sab and SO good but to scary :₽
So does adam kill frankenstein or does he just die in his arms?
0:38 •_•
In the book Frankenstein's monster killed Frankenstein
It is not true. In the book, Frankenstein dies of exposure and exhaustion after hunting the creature down up to the North Pole. And creature most likely commits suicide afterwards.
Victor is awful. Why sympathise?
