Former phlebotomist here, PPP or platelet poor plasma is used to make many medicines such as asthma inhalers and blood thinners, we extract it with a plasmapharesis machine, which is just a fancy way of saying blood goes in spinny thingy and plasma comes out. Centrifuge with an outlet line combines your now plasma-less blood with saline and a touch of an anticoagulant called sodium citrate, then sends it back into the body. Imagine platelet rich plasma being pretty much the opposite process, where the extra platelets means extra oxygen for increased anabolic function in the muscles, which shares a few things in common with doping but isn't the same. His body will naturally excrete the extra platelets over time via the intestines. Fun fact, platelets contribute to the brown color of poop!
As a Sabres fan it's so frustrating. The Toronto loses its best player. Don't really miss a beat. Buffalo loses its best player and it's like the season over lol
Leafs can join in on the CAP SHENANIGANS with this one...no one will ever know if he is ok or not since there is no projected time line for an injury they refuse to disclose
Just a narrative ploy to re-direct the negative press he was getting pre-'injury'. A vacation under another name. When he comes back then its a fresh page. Also goes to show you why when he was initially taken out they made a point to say he was already struggling with it (i.e that's why he was playing badly, cause he was playing 'injured'). I just find it hilarious how they can never disclose what injury he has. Still waiting to find out definitively what took him out of the playoffs last season.
It's his wrist germans sports therapy are good at recognizing deep tissue and muscle therapy...I'm guessing his wrist is acting up again ...hasnt truly recovered from it also guys a hockey player the wrist is over used
Someone else stated he had gone to Germany in the past for his back. But yes, it could be his wrist, and whatever this german doctor is good at could relate to helping diagnose and treat whatever this injury is
Get rid of Mathews, I don’t care how many points he scores the guy is useless. Can’t take a check without getting hurt and his forecheck reminds me of Ingmar. Leafs could probably sucker Kyle Dumbass into giving up half his team.
The Leafs are playing great without Matthews. Did the Leafs make a mistake by resigning Matthews? If not, then what is the argument for not resigning Marner?
Matthews seeing any specialist should be a concern. It means his injury is worse than what the organization wanted everyone to think. IMO, he's a bum that the team doesn't need, and the team has proved that over these last few games, but, their center depth has also plummeted. Tavares, Holmberg, Minten, Lorentz is what daily faceoff has down the middle. I don't think that is sustainable for any stretch. There is also a minimal amount of teams looking to sell off roster players at this point. Like the Leafs might be able to pry Donato from Chicago or Lundstrom from the Ducks but they'd be paying a premium for it. The team could also attempt a blockbuster with the Penguins acquiring Malkin for Marner (plus added pieces) but that'd be a real desperation move.
You must be smoking some bad stuff if you think Matthews is a bum or for a fraction of a second that the Leafs should trade Marner for malkin, come back to reality
I don’t know man I wouldn’t say a 60+ goal scorer twice is a bum. Yes the team has had some success without him but to say he doesn’t deserve to be here is crazy
@@BurgerBoss44 sure. Let’s do a Leaf fan trade instead: Holmberg + Robertson for Malkin at 50% retained maybe throw in a 7th so Dubas doesn’t feel completely robbed. Fact of the matter is the team needs to decide what it is going to do with Marner. With Matthews injured, his price tag is going to sky rocket as he carries the team. The Leafs can either sell high (I am not proposing a 1 for 1 for Malkin), pay him along with Matthews and Nylander and be in the same position they’ve been for the last half decade, or lose him for nothing in the offseason. Knowing this franchise, they’re probably going to pay him more than Nylander.

The best Doctors are in Europe 🌍
Sing the anthem!
Both of them!
😂❤💙
Ultimately if genuinely aren't worried about matthews injury and actually think he can come back soon doesn't really matter what the injury is.
Domi out IR now too, retroactive
I love how Steve shut down Jessie’s counter point he wants none of it cuz he’s freaking out about Matthew’s
I agree however Matthews will be fine and back before we know it

It may be a problem with his rockets and Wernher von Braun Jr. moved back to Germany.
Can take Domi off that 2nd line now, too
Domi is on the IR
maybe he's going to see the top scientists at "HYDRA"

What is this secret injury?
Matthews in Germany for a labiaplasty!
It’s not about the doctor, it’s about what’s legally allowed(stem cell)?
Matthews is a bandaid

There is no argument except by some UA-cam dummies.
No resigning Matthew's was not a mistake, and yes they should resign Marner. They're the teams 2 best players don't overthink it
