This is a great, straight forward set up. Thank you for building it from scratch with the correct attributes created in a wrangle. Super clean.
Thank you for this nice response! I am glad it helped!
@@pizola3285 yeah, this still holds true.
@@simonvandenbroek6384 thanks!
Mate, keep it up! these are great! It's hard to find in depth tutorials on Houdini on UA-cam. Give it a few months and consistent uploads, your channel is going to explode. Cheers!
Wow, you are so kind. Do you really think so? 🤩
superb really nice
Thanks a lot
very effective, congrat🙌✨
Dude, your channel is amazing - so much useful tutorials !
awww such a nice comment! Thanks!
Very Nice tutorial
Thanks a lot!
Great mate :D
Awesome master!
Thanks it helps alot to me.
I am glad it helped!
Amazing!
Thanks!
Such a great tut! I cannot believe you started doing them in English! So great, plz continue.
Every friday I will be posting a new tutorial... IN ENGLISH! :D

Hello, great tutorial, I'm having a problem at the final part, I'm in 19.5 and the sopsolve is different, we don't have a merge object of the relationship geometry, but a dop import, I know it should work like a merge, but it is not. Normally I don't care about it and find a way, but looking through tutorials around youtube and internet in general the sopsolver is very important to advanced control of sims. Have you some tutorial using this new one?
Thanks! I am working in the 19.5 and the setup is pretty much the same.
You might want to ask this in the discord channel under #help
I just gave it a try and it is the same workflow. Just make sure that your Output node is connected properly
@@pizola3285 sometime the simplest thing, thanks for the answer.
@@jefflhama np man. I am glad it helped!
At the end u use the quickshade node after Out_RBD. How do you apply this shading to the final simulation?
The quick shade node is just a texture applied to the vieport. It depends on your renderer but you should texture your material with substance painter AFTER having your fractured object
Nice, do you plan on doing more English tutorials?
Yes, from now on, English! It is more accesible for everyone that way.
Hi
followed your tut but my glue constraint isn't working properly.
Whats the issue?
@@pizola3285 can I share the file?
drive.google.com/file/d/1LhUc-FuRPJOlMVUn4zeBSDaNvFXd0isg/view?usp=share_link
in DOP network before collision its falling down
hey, may I ask what version you were using here? I'm wondering why you wouldn't use the new RBD material fracture nodes workflow
Hi! Since I want to have full control over what I do I preffer to to most of my setups from scratch. rbd material fracture is good, dont get me wrong. But it is slow andmost of the times just not what I am looking for.
Thanks for commenting.
Hey, I had the same experience. RBD with wood is insanely slow and the amount of settings youre able to change is very limited. Thanks for putting this up man! Youre doing a great job!
very nice tutorial! now i have a question: how would you go on to duplicate the wooden plank? im getting a bit clueless trying to do exactly that... im a noob still :((
Well, I would start by merging different woodplanks BEFORE fracturing them. Same as the setup shown in the video. Unless I havent understood your question.
@@pizola3285 yes this is it! amazing. i thought i was supposed to use the fractured one... im very curious how you learned all of your houdini skills in 3 years
@@nownezz believe it or not, all my experience comes from UA-cam!
There was an error while I was copying your tutorial. But I don't know what that error means. Can I tell you the answer?
Error/obj/box1/dopnet1/constraintnetwork1/relationship:Required attribute constraint_name is missing
Hi! You probably have your constraints in name and not on primitives.
Hi! I've been following your tutorial, but at 3:48min, I couldn't find the OUT_RBD under RBD Packed Object. Could you give me some hints about that? Thank you!
Never mind, I figured it out😂
@@boyazhang29 It was a null, right? jajaja
@@pizola3285 Yes🤣
Really awesome & hey btw how long you've been using Houdini?
Thank you. I am glad you like it. I belieeeve I've been using Houdini for around 3 years top
for some reason the connect adjacent pieces inside the for loop is not working. everything disappears?
Any suggestions? I followed along with everything. Thanks!
Hi!
Have you checked that your name and cluster attributes are correct. The connect adjacent pieces works with prim attributes and point attributes?
@@pizola3285 thanks for the reply! I switched the connection type to Adjacent Points and that did the trick :)
@@pseudopod77 i am glad it worked :D
@@pizola3285 sorry but encountered another error/ In the dopnet at around 9:37 in your video it says "required attribute name is missing" yet I did the attribute wrangle in the for loop with the name 'Glue' and copied and made sure the glue constraint relationship name and $OS pulls in 'Glue' name? Also in the for loop Connect Adjacent Pieces it only worked for me when I set it to "Adjacent Points" which is different that your video. Could this cause the issue? Please help thanks!
@@pseudopod77 Perhaps your problem is at the very beginning when setting up the names in the wrangle or when packing the geometry with the assemble node. Check that you have everything. Remember that you should have the resource file in the description if you want to check.
Thanks!
thanks man. Your Way of teaching is clean.. I'm definitely gonna sub. But you should to explain it slowely. you explain too fast. cant keep up with you
Thanks a lot!!!
Next tutorial might be on sandstorms. Ill try to be even cleaner!
