- Hey guys! After been playing some Deathmetal/Deathcore songs lately did i felt for some Metalcore, and what wouldn't be better than to record one of Wage War's new songs, Hope you'll guys like it!
Feel free to like and share the video, that would make my day, i also try to answer all the comments i get!

@@dnthrx Both has their nice things, the Big Black Steel ain't really made for higher tunings i would say, the tension screws are really long and i had to use tension locks for higher tuning, if not did it kind of got out of tune quickly, but since it's so deep does it sound huge, i thought it would have been better using that snare for this cover and the Starphonic for the Aversios Crown cover (if i had it then)
The Starphonice is sick, loud and crisp, it's my first Brass snare and me personally need to have the Hybrid head to get the sound i want from a snaredrum. I have always used 30 snare wires on all my snare, but the 20" that comes with the starphonic is amazing, really sensetive for ghost notes which i like to use alot, even though i don't use it that much for my covers..!
I would say that the quality overall is better on the Starphonic, but if you like to tune a bit lower than what i do and have a "huge" sound is the Big black steel "much snaredrum" for the money
Keep in mind that the snares on all my videos have samples on them, they are usually 50% real and 50% samples!
@@dnthrx If you like to crank the snare high would i go for the Starphonic with a Hybrid on, it sound amazing and CUTS a lot hahah! I like the snareweight a lot, it just dampening the snare but does not suck out the greatness from the actually drum, it's a minimal different though, so if you ain't that picky will a TrueTone work fine, i use those on my toms and they ain't sticky and all that which is nice!
The hybrid head if for sure more durable than a normal coated one, as well do they have amazing crack and depth in sound!
I have only tried the Big foots with wrong settings, but i tried a pair of used one and they did had a few lose parts (like worn out parts which made the pedal feel lose and make a few noises) Kopytos don't have that after a few years use, nothing beats the quailty of the Kopytos, but they could feel heavy for a few drummers out there compare to the Trick i think, but i found my way to make the Kopytos light but powerful for my technique!
Just popped up in my recommended. I'm not disappointed!

OH wow, thank you so much for the nice words buddy! Atm do i have a few songs i want to cover, but if i ever get stuck with chosing a song may i check out Faith Collapsing, Tyrant is my favourite album by AC but that song have never been a favourite of my to listen on, but i gotta say it's groovy! But it has some insane bursts on the kick as well which i'm not sure if i can nail haha..
But once again thank you so much buddy, after many years of practising and learning songs have i got better at taking out the drum parts of a track and tried to play them as close as possible to it!

Did you rely more on the natural tone of that new brass, or did you go with the normal blend of a couple other samples? Interested in knowing how natural that tone was. Had a great crack.
Douglas who mix my drums actually went with more acoustic sound than samples this time! The sample on the snare gives it a bit more beefy tone/depth, but the actuall crack you hear is from the snare itself! Really happy with that snare, loud and controlled!
