Can we all just, for a moment, appreciate the fact that the Astartes are so dedicated to getting safely onto the battlefield, that they actually went through the effort of sticking *window wipers* on the Thunderhawk?
a few years ago i bought one of these on ebay (still have the photo's somewhere) and it weighed a ton. when i finally had to sell it the postage was horrendous, but it was worth owning for the couple of years that i did. a truly awesome model for its time, and the box was a sight to see with brass aquillas on all the corners.
a little addition to that list: - Peter Jackson as a Hobbit: only 2 models ever produced, one giftet to PJ personally, the other one still @GW's HQ - Uruk Scout with Axe: dont know a number but its selling for 200 quid on ebay (also 28mm) Great Video man.

One of my fav models ever is the Games Day 1998 Gorkamorka Nob, its still somewhat available for around 30gbp and up. I managed to pick one up in a trade back in the early 00s and ive had Wurrkop Da Morker leading most of my Gorkamorka Mobs.

This is completely overlooking the entire line of "Unseen" Battletech miniatures. The designs that were originally from robotech and lost the the merry go round of lawsuits between Harmony Gold and other licensees.
I'm 13 years old I've just started Warhammer 40K, I cant afford brushes since they cost around 30 dollars in my area and getting these would be a welcome surprise :)
Brushes are important, but there is no point getting expensive ones unless you know how to look after them (most of us have to learn that the hard way), and really need them. In which case you will want a set of 'OK' brushes anyway for dry brushing and other stuff that can be hard on brushes, bulk painting, when your mate wants a try, etc. As a beginner, I would suggest two medium quality sets would be better value than one good one. As you get a feel for which brushes you actually prefer you can then buy fresh good brushes for particular jobs. This way you will only need one or two good brushes and they will last much longer. All the best with your new hobby!
When I was a preteen/teen in the late 80's early nineties all I did was paint D&D minis. Mostly Ral Partha, Grenadier, and a few GW. I had over 250 minis, and a lot of Dragons (2 of which you listed here). Long story short in 1997 my roommate kicked me out. While I was away visiting my father, who was ill with cancer, and out of state. They threw all my belongs into the street (at least the ones they did not want for them selves). Everything I owned including all my minis was stolen. This not only ended a friendship, it knocked the wind out of me to ever paint minis again. It would be 10 years before I would paint another. I still have not restored my collection to anywhere near what it was, and I have researched a few of the stolen minis, and almost all of them are no longer in production, and its a punch in the stomach every time I find own and see how valuable they are now. I am slowly rebuilding my mini collection. I am interested in the Brushes.
I'm running low on brushes because I am too inspired to keep painting from watching your videos! This was awesome, man - I love these classic old school minis!

Love a good oldhammer throwback! Just finished painting up a bunch of metal House Goliath dudes from the old Necromunda, to use in Kill Team. I even modelled one of the new Ogryn models to match his buddies, mohawk and all (see display picture)!
Some of the designs of these dragons are actually pretty awesome. I'd love to have one but not sure I could do it much justice yet, need to practice more painting XD. Also, I love tis channel so much!!!
Yeah they don't do much risky stuff like naked slave models anymore. Even while most fantasy and sci fi lores still support it. Dark Elves(Drow) and Dark Eldar (Drukhari) would come to mind in that regard.
The only one I would really be interested in is the Chaos War Mammoth Especially if it was made of metal. I would much prefer all my models to be metal, plastic is super bad for our environment. You can currently buy it on ebay but its going for $1,000 all the way up to $2300 plus an additional $260 postage from the US.

What about the old citadel chicken dragon? I've got a few staff only 54mm models and (I know they aren't models) the slaves to chaos and realm of chaos books. I don't need more brushes though so give em to someone else
Rare and OOP miniatures, you could do a whole channel just on that, especially going into some of the productions for not so house hold name things like the Ral Partha Elfquest miniatures or some of the early/first run Battletech/battledroids miniatures. And yes, of course I'd love to get the brushes, my collection is wearing out and I've never had the chance to use Army Painter brushes though I do use their primer.
Fun fact: the Slave Auction set went back into production via the original artist / Iron Wind Metals in 2011 and has been available ever since. Questionable Taste can be had for only £75.
Warhammer Quest 1995 core box as well as the expansions should be added to this list. You won't find an original core set box with nothing missing for less than $450. The expansions run $300 to $600. The solo expansion figures go for $50 to $125 each. It was and still is the best game I've ever played. It blended 40k and D&D together perfectly. The new Warhammer Quest is good but way more difficult and rules heavy than the original. Longing for a reissue.
I have quite a few minis from the 1980s. I was such a frequent mail order customer for Citadel Miniatures that I was sent a Limited edition Citadel Miniatures mug one Xmas. I'm sorting out my small room in preparation for starting painting again after many years and would love a new brush set to get me started.
I'm so disappointed they were discontinued. I keep hoping that they'll be put back into production since Apocalypse was brought back. Even a limited run would be nice.
I have a jester miniature from the video game Gauntlet Dark Legacy that was made by reaper miniatures. Apparently it was never sold in stores and was only released as a gift for the developers of the video game. That would probably be the rarest miniature I own.
I just started getting back into mini painting. I have one copy of the Great Red Dragon I bought back in the day. Never put it together... painted it with a red base coat and walked away. Maybe I'm worried I wouldn't do a good job. I'm going to have to pull it out again and take another stab at it. I'll have to send you pictures of the final result. Maybe after I finish my AoS Army.
Ral Partha Lord Soth's Charge, Forge World Marianburg Land Ship are 2 of my FAvorites. And we won't even get into some of the old Confrontation models.
Have been out of the hobby for about 4 years and desperately want to get back into it. I recently moved countries to follow my heart but one of the things I had to leave behind was my neglected modelling hobby. The price of reentry is more now than when I started *cough* -teen years ago and this would be a great step to replace what I left behind. Regardless I love your work keep it up.

Fun little video, I wasn't big into war gaming in the past. Only recently, with my son, into Bloodbowl and Warcry. That said I still have a copy of Hero Quest and Battle masters sitting up in my closet from when I was younger. I still don't totally understand the following behind those games, so they continue to sit collecting dust LOL. I should open them up and take a look at their mini's
The one old miniature model I have wanted for years is the Marauder model: "Thaindon, Elf Lord of Caledor riding Kargos the Despoiler, Fire-Drake of the Red Dragons" (they had long names back in the day!) it's just such a beautiful and classic sculpt.

Oh my god i had the Cheerleader model and doesn´t know that it is a rare one. Have sold it for i think 5-10 bucks or so? Had gotten it in a large collection of old Lizardmen models i shot on ebay back in the days... I feel so dumb now!

My buddy and I were talking once about Warhammer and how crazy the game itself and all of it's rules are. My buddy's older brother and his buds were into Warhammer at the time & how much the whole game setup, figures, props etc. cost. I always thought the figures and models for tabletop games were cool, but bloody expensive
Years ago i got my hands on a Warcast Reaver titan for under 350$, converted into a Chaos Reaver. ALso bought a box of 3rd Ed Metal Legion of the Damned box for 70$... the GW hobby is a very strange hobby...
You forgot the most collectible stuff the Lord of the Rings miniatures how many companies have Dunham there are four I know Heritage miniatures Grenadier models send it out that I'm two different times in two different scales mithril miniatures the Lord of the Rings fans they hunt them down don't forget Superior Miniatures also don't forget heritage did them off the movie by Ralph bakshi did the 25 and 70 mm Persians Grenadier I guess they had their own free rights to do whatever Fidelis 28 mm versions and now the true 25 millimeter scale Games Workshop based off the newest movies plus there's other companies who have done some not under license far as I know and you forgot the limited production figures from Citadel the wizard with submachine gun Santa Claus don't forget prices Lumber production figures and figures they were sued over like they're mad Matt there's serapis figure they made another figures and if you liked it any more information about grenadiers I used to be one of their painters all right cheers with a beer

I'm not entirely sure as to the reliability of this but I remember reading that the lizardman cheerleader was an exclusive mini that came with the lizardman Blood bowl team for a Games Day back in 2000 or thereabouts. I'd assume that so few were made because Blood bowl had a fairly niche audience at the time and didn't want to bring too many things to Games Day to sell in case no one bought any. I've seen a couple appear on ebay for about £10 here in the UK so they are still around. It might be the same one constantly being resold though.

You don't need the expensive GW ones mate look on places like amazon and you can pick some up for way cheaper. :)
Cheap synthetics from an art store are less than 2€ a piece where I live. You need a few.

That Ral Partha “Dragon of Dragons” came out the year I graduated high school. Wow, I’m old! And so are many of my brushes.
I picked up that set a few years back for 30$ at a flea market.

I have a jester miniature from the video game Gauntlet Dark Legacy that was made by reaper miniatures. Apparently it was never sold in stores and was only released as a gift for the developers of the video game. That would probably be the rarest miniature I own.

I just started getting back into mini painting. I have one copy of the Great Red Dragon I bought back in the day. Never put it together... painted it with a red base coat and walked away. Maybe I'm worried I wouldn't do a good job. I'm going to have to pull it out again and take another stab at it. I'll have to send you pictures of the final result. Maybe after I finish my AoS Army.
Ral Partha Lord Soth's Charge, Forge World Marianburg Land Ship are 2 of my FAvorites. And we won't even get into some of the old Confrontation models.
I remember the old Ral Partha minis. When I first started painting, Ral Partha paints were what I had to work with as well.
Have been out of the hobby for about 4 years and desperately want to get back into it. I recently moved countries to follow my heart but one of the things I had to leave behind was my neglected modelling hobby. The price of reentry is more now than when I started *cough* -teen years ago and this would be a great step to replace what I left behind.
Regardless I love your work keep it up.

A friend of mine just received an unreleased Epicast Paladin Knight Titan with its certificate of authenticity. N°0005 of a limited run pre-production release model just before the license agreement ended between Epicast and Games Workshop.
Fun little video, I wasn't big into war gaming in the past. Only recently, with my son, into Bloodbowl and Warcry. That said I still have a copy of Hero Quest and Battle masters sitting up in my closet from when I was younger. I still don't totally understand the following behind those games, so they continue to sit collecting dust LOL. I should open them up and take a look at their mini's
The one old miniature model I have wanted for years is the Marauder model: "Thaindon, Elf Lord of Caledor riding Kargos the Despoiler, Fire-Drake of the Red Dragons" (they had long names back in the day!) it's just such a beautiful and classic sculpt.
I have a limited edition Ral Parthia dragon. I started painting it in my youth. I need to strip the paint off and paint it now. Love Ral Partha figs. I guess that is one advantage of being old and picking up gaming in the early 70’s. Haha.

Oh my god i had the Cheerleader model and doesn´t know that it is a rare one. Have sold it for i think 5-10 bucks or so? Had gotten it in a large collection of old Lizardmen models i shot on ebay back in the days... I feel so dumb now!

My buddy and I were talking once about Warhammer and how crazy the game itself and all of it's rules are. My buddy's older brother and his buds were into Warhammer at the time & how much the whole game setup, figures, props etc. cost. I always thought the figures and models for tabletop games were cool, but bloody expensive
Years ago i got my hands on a Warcast Reaver titan for under 350$, converted into a Chaos Reaver.
ALso bought a box of 3rd Ed Metal Legion of the Damned box for 70$...

You forgot the most collectible stuff the Lord of the Rings miniatures how many companies have Dunham there are four I know Heritage miniatures Grenadier models send it out that I'm two different times in two different scales mithril miniatures the Lord of the Rings fans they hunt them down don't forget Superior Miniatures also don't forget heritage did them off the movie by Ralph bakshi did the 25 and 70 mm Persians Grenadier I guess they had their own free rights to do whatever Fidelis 28 mm versions and now the true 25 millimeter scale Games Workshop based off the newest movies plus there's other companies who have done some not under license far as I know and you forgot the limited production figures from Citadel the wizard with submachine gun Santa Claus don't forget prices Lumber production figures and figures they were sued over like they're mad Matt there's serapis figure they made another figures and if you liked it any more information about grenadiers I used to be one of their painters all right cheers with a beer

I'm just gettin back into painting minis and my new Vallejo paints will be here tomorrow.....Just the basic game colour set because that's all I could afford......So I could do with winning a new brush set to go with them....Seein as I'm a broke arse bum with heaps of time to paint but no money to buy stuff with haha
I'm not entirely sure as to the reliability of this but I remember reading that the lizardman cheerleader was an exclusive mini that came with the lizardman Blood bowl team for a Games Day back in 2000 or thereabouts. I'd assume that so few were made because Blood bowl had a fairly niche audience at the time and didn't want to bring too many things to Games Day to sell in case no one bought any. I've seen a couple appear on ebay for about £10 here in the UK so they are still around. It might be the same one constantly being resold though.
