It is! I actually have a few friends in the animation department, it is one of the best in China. I believe it splits off into 2D animation, 3D animation, Game animation (and there might be one more, I'm not sure). Though I've heard the best school for animation is CUC (Communication University of China), and the entrance exam wasn't as difficult (when I did it at least, I actually also got into animation at CUC but chose art at BFA). I think both are really good options, and if you ever choose to apply to study abroad for animation, I would suggest applying to both.
