Minoxidil is actually really great for growing a better beard. Wish i had done it sooner! I didnt have any hairs on my cheeks. 3 months in and im rocking a steady beard and theres still black hair popping up every week making the beard fuller and thicker
Just make sure you don't stop too early or you'll lose your progress. Give it a year, a year and a half perhaps so the hairs turn terminal (dark, thick ).
Hi there Eric. About 5 or 6 weeks or so or maybe around 7 weeks ago, the goatee area grew faster than the rest of my beard. Now, as one who has autism, I like things to be perfect, and because the hair in my goatee area grew quicker than the rest of my beard, I wasnt happy with it, so I took my barber scissors which came with my beard grooming kit, and I started trimming. The problem however was that I was doing so obsessively, and I ended up butchering it and cutting it too short. For a while, I had thoughts about shaving it all off and starting from scratch. As time went on and I thought about it, I reasoned with myself by saying "Look, Andeew, you do not need to start from scratch. The goatee grows quicker than the rest of your beard. So give it time and it will fix itself." From that point on, I came to love and embrace my beard and just accept it as it is. It is my beard and I love it. I even have a moustach growing now. I groom my Moustache a certain way because I like its shape. It is my own and I will take great care of it.
The first thing Eric mentioned is the basics. It is absolutely true, not even a single doubt. You just need to give your beard time and you'd see amazing results. It is absolutely absolutely a 100% true. p.s. nice to see you Eric.
My beard grows like a natural Hollywoodian style, low cheeck line but robust chin and lower bushy jaw plus a regular mustache, i am pleased with my beard, many guys want a natural hollywoodian like DiCaprio and actually that's how my beard looks. Thanks to beardbrand i can now grow my beard with confidence. Eric and the other guys are really amazing.
Growing one myself and love this mans attitude! Got bottled back in my teen days and have a 2" scar on my chin but went to a Turkish barber's and the way its trimmed you wouldnt know!
Just hit the 3 month mark on my first yeard. I've grown my beard out before but never made it a full year. I really wish I had taken daily pictures to document the journey.
How long should you wait to start putting beard oil in your beard? I’ve grown it out for a month and I haven’t trimmed it or put any oil yet. Please any recommendations
I've been trying to grow a beard for 25 years. I never let it get past a few stubles because it was growing in patches. During qaurintine I stopped shaving for 6 months and I grew about 75 percent. So you're right about the time. Haha
What do you do for an unruly beard ? One side grows nice, but the other looks like I stuck a finger in a light socket. Hard not to want to trim that side, which then makes me trim the other side to even it out. I never get to the point of a long beard. Just a shorty.
I've had my beard for quite some time now but as of lately I've noticed some.....white spots??? Not sure what they are....my beard is starting to feel dry and brittle around the goatee area. Any tips to remedy this ?

Speaking of inspiration, Eric you were always my inspiration and will always be. I know these days you are rocking a short beard, but I loved that long beard on you. Now speaking of my own beard, I have lot of patches, but still love whatever I've got. And this is something I always tell to everyone, love whatever you have. It could be a gotti, only a moustache or a full beard. Just wear it and rock it. #keepongrowing #beardon 🤘
@@craigherriot4026 I'm pretty sure you understood very well what I meant. And I know exactly why you came here in the reply section and wrote that. I'm not editing and rectifying my original comment. I grow really high cheek hairs. Do I let those grow out as well while I’m letting the rest of the beard grow out? And when I say high I mean an inch below my eye.
Thanks for this video. I've had different styles of beards for years and have been trying different looks while in quarantine and I was thinking of a shorter beard this time and wasn't sure how high to go on the neck. Initially I was debating trying to do just the jawline, but I find it difficult and then saw your recommendation to go lower. I'm aiming for short length, but some thickness with an emphasis on a big, thicker mustache because I have always loved a nice 'stache. So far, I've gone a little higher than the Adam's Apple than you recommend, but still well below the chin.
hey Eric, is it normal for someone to feel irritation under the moustache often if it’s dry under? I’m asking because I’ve been using products to fight my skin conditions in my chin and moustache area, and I was able to keep my chin under control but under my moustache it keeps feeling irritated. That’s why I’m not sure if it’s common irritation some guys with sensitive skin get. Thanks.
I had the same problem. The area above my upper lip was shedding like crazy, itch and it felt like it was on fire. I was able to keep it under control by putting 2-3 drops of beard oil on my palm and use it for my mustache area only with 1 finger. You see people use just a few drops on big beards, but some of us have to use a lot on problematic areas, don't be afraid to use a bit more. I oil my mustache at least twice a day like this. Also make sure you don't wash away the oils while you drink. I started to pay attention how I drink water from cups and bottles and it helped a bunch.
Chris K thanks so much, really appreciate it. Haha, I think “on fire” is the best description. Hope it works, I got a long and thick moustache, gonna really try to rub that oil beneath it. I guess if I feel like I need more drops then it’s ok. Thanks again man.
