I loved how he started out by saying "I'M AS OLD SCHOOL AS YOU CAN GET"😊❤ I'm only 56.. yes ONLY🤣 But I remember those days. Oooooh how I I 1st MISS THEM & 2.. WISH we had Church life THAT Again. When the person started playing the organ.. "I THINK/FELT" He was disappointed 🙁 but couldn't show it. That the organist apparently had not heard his first few words. That's why he took a few seconds to speak again.. because "THAT BEAT WAS NOT OLD" SCHOOL". ((I could be wrong- just what I THOUGHT)) I MYSELF was disappointed though. I was looking more for that 'Bass' of the foot stomping of our ancestors like rythm from the organ. It's NOT JUST THE WORDS.. BUT THE "BEAT" THAT REACHED & CONNECT OUR SOULS TO THE SONG.. Which gave you THAT "GET UP" & "PRAISE HIM".. "HALLELUJAH" "SHOUTING" THING. Well, it was FOR ME, and that what I remember & how I FEEL.
But I "LITERALLY" opened my eyes this morning, as STARTED SINGING THIS SONG.🙏🏽 Being Thankful for EVERYTHING HE'S DONE, DOING AND WILL DO FOR ME & MINES.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤
